i've seen so many vids are more then 5-6-7 years ago or old and asking every time why are the effects are that much better then today.. ?????xD the bullets, crash and destroy effects or fire are much more realistic then it is today... i dident get it...: ( can someone explaine me this ?:)

I watched these guides obsessively for so long before I even started playing the game for real in 2021, I can't thank you enough for making a series on how to play this game that really does teach a kid how to fly like a pro but that is also so entertaining to watch at the same time! Long5hot, you are a legend, and I hope that at some point the game will get back to its former glory and that we'll see you in the skies once again!

Randomly recommended here, didn't realize it'd been 8 years. Just came by to say thank you for guides you've made in the past, I myself ditched WT too but the lessons stuck and helped me get into study-level sims like DCS World. 2 weeks in this is the thing I find hardest....there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why some rounds hit and some not!

here to pay respects to the king i started playing in 2015, and your videos taught me how to play how to play air arcade. before i found this channel, i was absolutely awful; i couldn't aim, fly, or win. after i found this channel... that was still the case for a while lol. but then i kept trying to apply what i saw in your videos, and i slowly got better. and better. 1000 hours in, i was good enough to switch to air rb. i sucked all over again, but as i grinded my way to the top of the tech tree, i rode that learning curve, too. 4500 hours in now, and i can carry matches and take on 1v5's (and occasionally win them). they've added all sorts of crazy new stuff over the years, but everything i learned here is the foundation of the skill i have in this game today. thank you!

I wish you'd come back. Your are by FAR the best pilot and instructor on WT. I am still learning watching these videos from years ago.

7yrs and this helped alot in 2023. Ive been playing off and on for a few months only to throw my controller down each time wondering why I play this game. Makes sense now. Didnt even know the indicator was a marker for 300m, also didnt know you could set up your engagement distance. After know that alone, i think my experiences in game will improve. Been shooting behind targets consistently and I feel dumb after watching this video.

I suspected the leadindicator was not always the right aiming spot. Thanks it would have take a longtime to figure this out by myself. Now I know why I've been decimated in most games...6000 other pilots have seen this before me! 😅 Look out guys im coming for you!

Long5hot, please return and expose the administrative permissions given to some of the server moderators. Actors such as Jengar manipulate gameplay to favor some players over others. It's out of hand and harmful to this community. This issue explains your absence doesn't it? Not doing the right thing when you know it's the right thing is just as malevolent. Please expose these bad actors...🙏✌️

That ping thing is complete bullshit lol. I had a match the other day where the lag was so bad planes were magically darting everywhere. I would be shooting rounds right on target and a second later my plane and theirs would jerk into another position. It kept happening the entire match. I went back and looked at the replay and according to the replay my aiming according to the server was nowhere near where I was actually aiming on my screen.

That enhance mouse setting is exactly what my problem was. There was something about how the circle was moving that bothered me. I actually went to the setting and moved my mouse around a bit, noticed how jerky it was. Then I shut that setting off and noticed how incredibly smooth it became. I guarantee it is going to help me out a lot.

Hi Longshot, just my humble feedback that your videos were the best there is about War Thunder. I got into WT at least a few times since 2014 but left after BR 4.0. The gameplay was just too imbalanced and atmosphere toxic. They still have not done anything about Spawn camping. You end up playing players with BR 5 or 5.3 in a BR4.0 plane. One would play a game to wind down but end up being more wound up and tense than before. Hopefully they should fix it someday.

Best defensive maneuver? Don’t buy ge until gaijin repairs it’s unfair gameplay. Probably why long5hot doesn’t make videos anymore. He can’t stomach the nonsense…✌️

I'm late to the party but hope folks are still here as Longshot has made some truly great tutorials and content over the years. The P-51D (all versions IMO) are super difficult planes to be any good in. I find that the D5 and the D20NA pitch the nose around ridiculously when you shoot making it very hard to kill an enemy. The D30 is better but as an example of its inferiority (in AB at least) I merged w/ an ITP recently at 5800m flying over 600km and kept shallow diving away eventually gaining almost 800km. He caught me after turning and I only survived by diving straight to the deck. That from a Soviet plane that never entered production...

6 years of Gaijin manipulation have made videos like these obsolete. Gaijin allows server hosts to control gameplay down to AI coding to protect “FAVORED” players. Don’t pay Gaijin a dime. Premium accounts don’t make winners, only fools…✌️
