This was a lot of fun, thanks Jengar for poking me & arranging this! I highly recommend viewers to check out his version of the video, as he pulls off some beautiful moves ... and generally gets more kills than me too. What can I say, I'm old and rusty. With an Australian ping :)

Great video as always, m8! My video card had gone out on me (GTX 580) so I had to replace it with a refurbished GTX 960! I'm back in the air now and am still flying my Japanese tree... I am finally getting the first of the A6Ms and I've been flying the Ki-44s a bunch! I would _love_ to fly the Ki-45s but I can't understand why my 20mm cannon won't fire... For some odd reason, only my 37mm fires... I haven't been able to figure out why and I get killed _extremely_ quickly when flying it (the Tei I believe the version is) so I haven't upgraded a bloody thing on the aircraft yet!
maybe you bound the seconday guns under a different key? because the 20s are the secondary now. for the rest your bad results might be due to stock syndrom.

It was great to see some gameplay that demonstrates how to efficiently fly with a friend! Can't wait to try some of these strategies out!

Besides the commentary and seeing the other side of those battles, I really enjoyed that KI 44 vs b7 battle, that was intense!
I didn't know about that Ki, will have to grind that one out, as I loved the other Kis.

There used to be a time in arcade where I would get damaged and have to land to repair. I enjoyed those days, it felt immersive... Alas, nowadays I just go for a suicide run into the nearest furball when I'm badly damaged because I know there won't be enough time to get up in the air again after landing.
the games are definitely shorter then they used to be, landing is almost wasting time, although i did it in one of the matches we flew here. Im still not quiet ready to give up my immersion :)

Nice flying, both of you. I don't want to comment too much on the shortcomings of the patch (more short games, little to no Air Dom, strong emphasis on lawnmowing, etc.), but for what it's worth I can confirm that Air Dom does still exist. I've had a whopping TWO of them since returning to WT about three weeks ago. Keep up the good work, gentlemen!

I have not seen air domination in weeks, I think that they pulled it, but I could not find the patch notes saying so.Great video BTW.
Its not pulled - I believe its more common in low tiers for some reason. Also I'm sure if I flew an all-bomber lineup I'd get some Air Dom ;)
its a frustrating thing though because its so enjoyable in ab that mode.

=) Just recently again 1.59. I had taken a break too due to the super quick ground pounding games making me lose interest. With the spawn point changes I thought it would improve the game & thought I would give it a fly out again. The changes do help raise the altitude of the combat. So I consider that an improvement & more fun.

Nice short enjoyable clip there :) the bomber's DM at the moment gives me lots of good accuracy practice: you'll literally have to pilot-snipe 80% of them to get the kill
its terrible sometimes, fully unloaded on the b-25 with the a-4, but no sigar. I was totally flabbergasted by that.
I haven't flown much since the patch hit, but in 1.57, pilot snipes on many bombers was pointless as they'd just switch another crew member in for the pilot. I'd prefer to set them on fire, then leave them to burn.
They're really too strong right now to get proper parts ripping off, not even the Minengeschoss round can do. Pilot kills are hard as most bombers have 2 pilots, so you need to kill them both. Speaking of fires, I JUST witnessed a PBY put 2 fuel tank fires (red purple flame), 1 engine fire (yellow), before finally knocking both pilots out. And to the horror of my eyes a G4M1 (dubbed the Flying Cigar, search it up) put out the fuel fire on BOTH wings! I ran out of patience, killed his cannon gunner and sat behind him to finish him off.
Also fire potentials seems to be reduced all across the board. Basically many US planes are picking up dust in my hangar :/
So that's the 1.59 patch... I have a video of me getting three pilot kills on one plane but it still flying in 1.57... but I think that was a bug xD
Tail shots actually work pretty good atm, at least if you've got HE or HE frag. Direct kills are a pain, but tail controls are super fragile, and that'll make their uppiedownies not work so good. At that point they either fly into the ground getting you the kill, or just bail out because they can't line up a bombing run anymore.
It is slightly demented that the best place to kill a bomber right now is from behind though.

I've red some info on russian part of the forum about air domination.
At least for now there is no air domination maps available on BR's above approx. 3.0. On 2.0-3.0 you may get AD, but even in this case it is extra rare thing.
It is just an observation of few players, if I understood it right, though, not an official information.
i do trust player information though, because it confirms my own experience, i havnt seen air domination in a long time :(
Looks like I am not the only one having trouble killing the bombers :/ Got to love the bf109F4's though. Fly US planes with 50cals and assists are pretty much all you get. Great video!

What about.american .50 flamethrowers? Do they causes fires on bombers as well as it was before?
Im not sure mate, i havnt flown any us flametrowers yet since the patch. i certainly hope so :)
Jengar Abaduaber The US .50cals have gotten boost already twice since the big patch and they still shoot popcorn :/ Not to mention bombers survive fires more often now.
I take my time to watch this because of two things.
-There's no alcohol here so i got to brew a bitter drink on herbs, took it's time
-Always your new videos loads slowly.
Very good indeed, but I find AB too short in high tiers, and with the bombers and the increment of concrete plates in the fuselage they are now invincible gods of the skies and the terror on earth forces, and the matches becomes child's play
I like very much the Ki44 "carrot launcher" but less when i have one on my six.

Yes, well, we would have liked to fly closer but the circumstances of each game required us to split up to deal with separate targets, apart from that one African Canyon game. Would have been nice to get some Domination maps, as that would have facilitated a lot more teamwork.
first time we flew together ;) we were also still getting used to each other, and it was 7 am for me or so when we started, and long5hot just returned ;) But you saw it comming together at the end ;) Why would 2 guys flying together putting video's out which are in a way promoting their game be against the rules mate ? ;) and ty for the compliments btw! :)

Great flying, Jengar! I was wondering if you had any experience with the Ki-45s? I am trying to figure out why the... I think it is the 3rd in the list with a br of 2.0 down from 2.3 which the last one had for some reason lol... I am having a problem as I haven't been able to upgrade it _at _*_all_* as of yet and only flew it out once as I generally fly out my Ki-44-II as I love the air target belts for those 12.7mm :) For some reason, with the Ki-45 with the twin 20mm cannon and single 37mm cannon, my 20mm do _not_ fire when I pull the trigger! I'm not sure if they are somewhat like the Schräge Musik cannon or something as I did notice another aiming reticle far above the main one as I dove on my initial target, a Ki-21 that managed to shoot me down in less than a second with the rear gunner!!!
that guy might just have gotten a lucky pilot snipe. wouldnt worry too much, i havnt flown them out much so far myself. and stocksyndrom is usually harsh on heavy fighters.

And you are back to arcade! I can see that in the beginning your aiming is a bit rusty. And that dogfight against the B7A is awesome! You would have kill him if you have a faster firing gun though.

Yes I'll keep switching between modes, I need the variety.
I find in Arcade that planes feel a lot more twitchy in this patch when it comes to aiming, so I'm over-correcting a lot & missing shots I'd normally hit. I probably need to reduce my mouse sensitivity to compensate.

hey long5hot... I've allready done glory and praise in Jengars version... I love you guys...
I've read about your mouse wheel in comments... I used to had it set to zoom also... but as we hear in your version I also used to roll it like crazy up and down... now I have throtle on the wheel (besides ctrl and shift) and its awesome... I have full zoom on right mouse button and it turned out you don't need all the stages of the zoom at all... just full in and full out... but the throtle on wheel is just amazing... I see you use throtle down at your rudder turns (ofcourse you do :-P)... and mouse wheel is the key for that... try the throtle wheel and right mouse button zoom... this way you have left hand for qweasd only and right hand for zoom and throtle... I fire with left mouse button and I use space key to look around (instead of c)... I know you fire with space but try this setup... I have 'mark target' on c and 'zoom at marked target' on x... love your voice man... and I love your tutorials... specially the one with story about 300m marker... I just saw it last week and oh boy... I saw Jengar doing it a year ago but now I know why he is doing it... I can't thank you enough for that... my aim just went from above average mode to sniper mode... suddenly 2 hispanos on spits are more then enough to bring down any fighter... FWs and bloody OP mustang Mk1a included...
I can see how your setup would work well, but I'm afraid its just not for me - I need the firing on the keyboard as if I use a mouse button my hand tenses & my aim is even more terrible than it is now ;) And apart from that, this old dog doesn't learn new tricks easily - I think if I remapped everything after so long with my existing setup, I'd go crazy trying to adjust. Thanks anyway though!
about old dogs and transitions... read this... after my 12.000th airkill I have discovered I don't have to hold the key all the time in order to wep... yeah... that's nice :-D... I have changed w key to throtle up so I could hold it all the time when in the air... and I set my right mouse button to elevate up... yeah... no need to say how impossible rudder elevator turn was for me all this time... after I finally set the bloody game option not to hold the key for wep down all the bloody time suddenly I had one finger free to do stuff... so I got back to classical qweasd settings and after additional 6.000 kills when I'm in a pickle I'm still pressing right mouse button to pull up... but instead I get the zoom in... can you imagine how annoying it is to zoom in instead of pulling up when you are 3 seconds from hitting the ground or in the middle of dodging a headon... so yeah... I guess I'll have to set my right mouse button to flash me a big screen message 'Press the w key you moron!' :-D
I really want to improve my game but I'm feeling limited on the ps4. Can't even look properly while doing manoeuvres and it's like half of the bullets don't hitreg.

I don't think ps4 has too much disadvantage. Actually very little if any regarding performance. Controls, perhaps. But that can be addressed. Customize the layout. Or buy a m n k, or joystick. The only thing ps4 has problems with is headtracking. Ps cam seems to work fine with some people, others are sol. And there is also a work around using a gyro mouse taped to your head afor headtracking. I believe theres a CZcamsr that uses a controller in sb. He is pretty damn good too (of coarse we don't see his bad games). Think his name is frednerick? Oh, you might be referring to mouse aim when using a controller. Ohhh yea i can't help.
As for hitreg... I cannot say. It might be your connection to server. Or your just missing. Try not to kill from behind, or rather try to kill before they point their butts to you. Another problem is not using mouse aim. Manual control/aim is insanely hard.

Quite a few 20mm are rather disappointing in 1.59 so far, plus bomber DMs are concrete. Also some larger caliber cannons, like the German 30mm and even the Russian 37mm are sparking a lot now. I've found the Japanese Type 99s and Ho-5s are still quite good though.
mine were too, the bombers definitely were though cookies right after the patch ;)
+long5hot I think that's kinda good though as they used to be extremely fragile I admit that was a lot of 20 mm but I prefer this to when the set on fire if shot them with Handgun :-)
Have you considered doing ground forces, or do you just not like them?
Honestly, tanks have never really interested me at all, and I'd need to be a fan of tank combat if I was going to get into GF as to do well you need to know the abilities of each type of shell versus different tanks, where to aim on each tank, how to present your own tank as a difficult target, and so on.
I know I'll give ships a decent crack when they're released though, as naval warfare has always grabbed me - which is strange as they're just like really huge tanks ;)

Man 1.59 has completely screwed German 20s every game I get at least 6 "hit" and no other critical damage while 50s vaporize me
Indeed. I can understand somewhat if the single 151/20 on the Bf109s was having trouble, but the 4 20mm cannon on a FW190 A-4 should wreck things in short bursts ... and it just wasn't. Did you see how many rounds that B-25 took to bring down? Watch Jengar's video & see the long accurate salvo his A-4 put into that plane before I made my pass.
i was completely mystified when that b-25 didnt die, before the patch it would have crumbled under that salvo.
Mr.Long5hot, what's your tactic when pursuing a fighter well above 6000m? How do you force an enemy to stall out if they're are aware of your presence? Usually I see this situation commonly with the Japanese BnZ fighters.

persuing a fighter above 6k meters and how you interact with him/her, tactics and such are all depending on the planes you and he/she are flying, what altitude, direction and energy both planes have, and what the situation around you is. Your question doesnt have enough detail in it to answer to any degree of satisfaction. Stalling out enemies that are aware of you is only possible if you made them angry beyond reason, or to put yourself close enough to them so that they think they can get you, without giving your energystate or your plan away. So you basicly have to either be the guy that already killed them twice, and they dont care and are hellbend to helicopter up at you, or look like a very juicy target that looks like he's not aware of them.
Yep, what Jengar said. The other way is if their plane becomes sluggish in maneuvers, especially vertical ones, compared to your plane & you manage to get them into a dogfight. That's what I tried to do with the B7A2, but its pilot kept going into diving turns to keep his speed up though eventually it lost him so much altitude that he became prey for the Bf109. You can't ever "force" another player to do anything unfortunately ;)
+long5hot Thanks Mr.Long5hot and Mr.Jengar. At the moment I like to switch between the Bf.109 F4 and the Spitfire Mk.2b. Which has it's own strength and traits but when it comes to high altitude dogfights, holly molly I hate J2M2's BnZ at that altitude.
If they're that high, they're flying to their strengths by keeping the J2M fast, your best option would be to dive away from them and look for other targets a bit lower down.
See... keep 100 from climbing and continue watching him decreases the chances of an ass whipping , unless it's Flip or Anown.

That's weird!!! I only fly bombers and ALL I ever get is Air Domination matches and here you are flying fighters and continuously getting Ground strikes!!! I really think that the game likes screwing with us! p.s. ...wish I could fly like you do :(
its a conspiracy :) as to flying like long5hot, im sure he will agree: practice makes perfect, teach yourself one thing at the time and keep adding to that, you'll get there. Both long5hot and me are mere mortals like you, if we can learn, so can you :)

Actually, thinking about it, this has come about because of playing RB. I switched the WEP settings so I didn't have to hold the button down, and as a result I sometimes forget that its still on.
