I'm hoping there's extensive backwards compat on the switch 2 so my backlog of games that struggle on frame rate like hyrule warriors, ys IX etc. perform a little better. Make my backlog even better!

I can see the switch 2 using magnets to pull a magnetic hook or lock either in the system or controller to lock them together, then pull the magnet back and the hook or lock goes slack and releases.

I'm so disappointed that the next Nintendo console will be just an improved Switch. Worst of all, it is going to have the equivalent of last gen technology. In about 2 years PlayStation 6 is going to be released and this thing will still be rocking PlayStation 4 tech 😔

They don't need to do anything to support the game once they stop supporting it and indeed they don't even have to make it work with private servers. What needs to be done is to allow it to be online. We need to stop them from taking the game from us so that people can make the game work themselves if that makes sense. As a for instance the crew. Instead of taking it from people's libraries they should have left it in and then allowed people to work with it themselves to establish an online presence. Would this hurt the sales of their current game. I think it's silly to believe that's true. The mass of people that buy games buy the new game and system just because it's new. 90% of the people I work with got a PlayStation 5 and bought a basketball game which was essentially the dumbest thing I ever heard in my life. Basically spent $500 plus the price of a game just to play the basketball game that was pretty much the same game as the one that was on PS4. What it would do is drive sales. It works both ways. If there were private servers of the crew out there that people could play with less barriers those people would then try the crew 2. And when I say it works both ways look at helldivers 2. It has been so successful that sales of the first game have gone up to the point where it's actually towards the top of the sales chart on PS5. Regardless of anything nobody should be able to sell you something that they can then take away later. If the game industry wants to do this then when you go to the PS5 store to buy a digital game if they want to put in there that they can shut it off at any time then it shouldn't say purchase the game it should say lease. Simple as that. Any game with a rule in the EULA that says they can take it away from you at any time directly from your library then before trying to purchase it should warn you that this game is a lease and not a purchase.

For 'normal' games the Switch Pro Controller is the best I have ever used, I don't need analogue triggers at all. For Nintendo games the GameCube controller is still the Nonplusultra because the A button is at the right place.

I've given someone a single joycon to play 2 player mario kart with them while I was on the go without any other controllers on me. It may not be comfortable to use, but it still works.

I handed a Joy con to my wife in March 2017 so we could play the underrated game, Snipperclips. I remember it well because its the only time I ever did.

I have detached my joy con to play Mario Kart with my daughter.

Yall should look up and research about Sony’s past with censorship. If yall just looked up senran kagura censorship yall should immediately know everything behind Japanese/asian censorship is because of sony. The attachment mechanism for the controllers could be done like Fidlock magnets, where they slot into the console from the side, and then they can only be removed by pulling them up in a single direction.
