#Nintendo #NintendoSwitch - Hry
It makes perfect sense, which is why Nintendo won't do it.
Comments like these are always ridiculous. Same as when people call a company greedy, then claim "I guess they don't want my money."
You're not part of the decision making, you're not the one taking heat for a flop, so it's easy to be an armchair CEO.
@@NuiYabuko Comments like these are always ridiculous. A CEO doesn't always know what's best for their company. If they did, no companies would go under.
Eh, depends on how they feel that day.
@@NuiYabukoI mean… have you seen nintendos track record? It’s filled with questionable decisions
Look at all these CEO's in the comment section 🥳
Nintendo could sell past Pokémon games on the App Store for $20-40 and if they made it compatible with Pokémon home, they would make millions
I would kill for a Home compatible re-release of the shadow Pokemon games. I love them but I no longer have the equipment necessary to transfer them to a modern game (without cheating)
40€ for something you can play for free 🙃🙃
Nintendo is thinking of how to downgrade it before they sell it. Typical Nintendo
@@matjaz5684I dunno if you know this. Not everyone is into emulation...
@@TonyJennthen they're extremely stupid
I just want Nintendo to allow me to buy retro games separately.
I agree 100%
RIGHT! The current online stuff they have now is dogshit and I wish Virtual Console was back and also wish we could transfer those Virtual Console purchases over from the Wii U and 3DS to a Switch and also have them available on the Switch servers.........the online servers on the 3DS and WII U are now gone but how long until they shut the rest down and we can't re download any of that later.....
Yeah, they could actually make a Retro Game Pass so they keep the subscription with new online features for the respective games and then sell separately those games but with no new online features. Then they could be giving us 2 options buy games and for others who just want to subscribe to play every game then they can also do it.
This is why the Switch has nothing. Because you're all willing to buy games that are free anyway
@@knuclear200xhas nothing? Huh???

Maybe it’ll just be Nintendo online. It’ll most definitely get renamed at least when the next system comes out.

While I don’t disagree with you on Nintendo doing this, I just think that this is the ace that they keep up their sleeve to get a surge of money inflow in the event of another Wii U situation.
I just think NSO is one of Nintendo Switch or Nintendo consoles going forward selling point.
Nintendo just had potentially their most successful generation ever. I don’t think they’re moving away from their hardware anytime soon. But maybe an exploration of how they put their products on phones…
NSO should have already offered DS emulation… especially since it’s already on WiiU
Wii U has stylus, mic, camera and two screens
Run a DS emulator on your phone to see that that's not a fun experience. Yeah it's easy to do but it's not fun to play.

With how big NSO is getting packed with games from their old consoles. It’s about time they bring it to phones
Remember having connection issues before but the switch pro controller connected fine to iPad Pro and lets you navigate the homescreen, hitting home button brings up game center achievements and all that. Hopefully Goldeneye look/move can be remapped properly for dual analog.
I'm pretty sure they really want to sue apple
They haven’t sued android
Android and Apple are too big to sue and have deeper pockets…
@@Ryuujin1078 tell that to the EU
They can't, hosting retro emulators on app stores is legal, Play stores had emulators on it for years (I suppose they could but it would go nowhere) heck Apple was just sued and lost a case because of how strict they were with side loading and their app store policies so now Nintendos supposed to win a lawsuit because Apple is now allowing things that they got sued for not allowing and lost? Not happening
Please......Nintendo would get crushed by Apple.....a multi trillion dollar company vs a 50 billion dollar company come on now.....Nintendo only bullies fans and the little ppl with no money, the ones they know they can beat.....Nintendo isn't that stupid to go after ones that have more cash flow that's more than their entire net worth. The only thing Nintendo can do is have Apple investigate and see if the app uses any of Nintendo's intellectual property and have it taken down and if its an app not using any of that with built from the ground up code then Nintendo can't do anything about it.
So what if the Nintendo “attach” is a home console, and it allows you to attach “joycon” to your mobile device and use it as a second screen? 🤯
Seems like a pipe dream, but a damn good one
Nintendo has always been a mystery to me and I'll don't think that will ever change.
They have and will always dance to the beat of their own drum. I believe it’s a key ingredient to what translates into sustained success for them and games for us.
Nintendo in a nutshell:
Am I so out of touch?
No, it's the children who are wrong
@@DoomBowser64you’re out of touch.

7 minutes of fluff and 3 minutes to say “huh I wonder if Nintendo is going to do a thing?” Basically what all of these channels are these days. Gotta hit that algorithm
Context is important. I fount the video very informative
Getting Gamecube support on an AppleTV will be fun to see
I still got the crazy theory that Nintendo will have a big emphasis on cloud gaming with their next generation. If they do focus on the cloud, they could do more than just bring retro titles to mobile through the NSO app. They could let you play your console games on any device through a web browser or with an app, like Stadia or Xbox cloud.
Knowing Nintendo, most we can expect is a way to play a retro collection on your phone only if you are paying for the service. I already am paying for the family expansion pack and it feels really underwhelming at times, as in they own the rights to so many games and they have no excuse to just drop them so slowly.
Like seriously, pokémon games are some of the most pirated games ever, even if you want to sell the newer versions, do you really think they wouldn't make up for the difference with the number of people who would pay for being able to play the Gameboy to Gameboy advance games being able to play them online, trade them with friends or just being able to move them to newer games? I'm still baffled by how much of a second thought it is to them.
RetroArch is lurking in the background wondering if they should officially release on iOS or not. LOL
Hear me out - Anbernac style device, from nintendo - subscription only. You would pair it to your phone for internet access but also have a full controller.
I'm literally the "where my chrono trigger at" guy
Pikmin on PC would be amazing.
This is the happiest I’ve been with iPhones or iPads with Apple in a very long time I just don’t understand why Nintendo PlayStation and Xbox don’t try to come you don’t sell the Rams directly to the customers I would feel him safer buying the Rams directly from like a legit corporation then you know some of these random websites on the Internet
I can finally play Mortal Kombat trilogy on my iPad with a PlayStation five controller this is excellent news I would’ve bought it directly from the App Store to be honest had they just released it that way
This is another thing that I really like about the emulator is that it has PlayStation five controller support that’s amazing and everyone says that Mortal Kombat trilogy for the Nintendo 64 is the superior version of Mortal Kombat trilogy because they made some of the weaker characters even better
Obviously Nintendo has really no control over selling you know other peoples amazing games that are also on the consul but they do have control over you know all the games that they cancel like the exclusive games you know they can make a lot of money selling super smash brothers for 64 I mean it might not be the newest but if it’s the best that you can bring around I’m sure they can make a decent amount of money selling it you know a few thousand dollars maybe even tens of thousands of dollars
I honestly would’ve paid maybe up to $20 for Mortal Kombat trilogy for Nintendo 64 I do prefer the sound of the PlayStation version I even thought the graphics were better on the PlayStation version but everyone does say that Nintendo 64 is the superior version
Seems like a good business move to offset these bottom feeders who steal content rather than paying a small premium to support the companies who make the entertainment they consume.
If they do, it's far, far too late. I'm not saying it won't sell, just that I'm not interested in paying a subscription for a overly managed application, when I already have a miyoo mini plus, already have a CFW 3DS, already have mGBA. Nintendo are way, way behind the times with their online services, eshops, general accessibility etc.
Tetris has added 10 mins extra to my cardio workouts the last 3 days, I own the game like several times over but it’s so much more convenient to play on my phone
Seems Nintendo has been put into a situation they can't just sue themselves out of.
If Nintendo released a backbone style controller for phones and then released an app that lets you play Nintendo games old and new with it, that would go OFF.
Not to mention that would help developers release actual quality games on phones cause what we have now is so crap. Just use your Nintendo phone controller
Nintendo should do their own app for phones and PC and let everyone play their own games, having a Nintendo store front on PC will be a success and 100% profit for them win win
Don’t be stupid why would Nintendo do that? If anything Nintendo should do this for the switch? It will be another alternative and it will shut people you up.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 why sound stupid jackass?? same thing people said about Sony and Xbox 15 years ago, never said never.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 sure, same thing people said about sony and xbox 15 years ago, never say never.
You can already emulate everything the switch has to offer on PC for free
@modermonkula Nintendo can capitalize on that, that's my point.
I am using Delta now, I have a Retroid Pocket and have multiple hacked handhelds. I would pay a “Netflix” subscription to Nintendo for an official library of retro games on my phone, day 1
Possible, though knowing Nintendo they will demand you use a Bluetooth controller, maybe release an official android/iOS NES and SNES Bluetooth controllers you gonna have to use to play the games, or even an N64 one
Happy 4/20 spawnwave
Just typing this to see if I can guess your guess. Nintendo should give access to every game on the mobile app with cloud integration with the console. I would 100% support and play that way for the few games available.
Remember when you told me your video today was going to be about a new Halo 2 Mod or a "Is Gaming Boring Right Now" poll you made on Twitter, and then you do this? GASLIGHTER.
Quit crying like a baby, you're a GROWN man
How interesting. 🧐
That isn’t what gaslighting is
Someone doesn’t know what gaslighting is.
Imagine being and established CZcamsr and being this toxic to another established CZcamsr
Nintendo won’t even let us have retro Pokémon games on NSO, or Windwaker/Twilight Princess HD on switch. So this sounds like something they definitely won’t do, because it makes too much sense.
Not sure why they haven't already do this, that would raise the value of Nintendo online alot. If such and app also had quick resume, that would be awesome.
I think you are reading too much in the recent language changes around nintendo outside of their key gaming system. They updated these statements to reflect they are now dabbling in movie production. Nintendo clearly stated in recent years that they wanted to move their mobile to supplemental (apps that extend switch, like animal crossing in switch online) instead of stand alone gaming (mario kart tour, animal crossing pocket camp etc).
If nintendo doesn't want us to emulate, they should give us access in some capacity to these games. They should also have an achievement system. Those two things would be enough for me to never emulate any of their games, honestly. I like to have the game "officially" completed
the best way to beat piracy is by making things easy to get to
when netflix was the only streaming service around, there wasn't really a need to go elsewhere if its right there after paying a fee
same thing with spotify, why pirate music now if you can just go listen to it in a few seconds
so in a way this might reduce a majority of game emulation if the library is big, even though majority of emulator players are superfans anyway
It is unreal (and almost pathetic) how mind blown iOS users were at the concept of emulators. I remember installing emulators on the iPod touch Nano
What about a system that can scan an area, neighborhood, house or building and allow you to play an fps shooter or any game LIVE in it. It would digitize the entire map.
i remember speculating about nintendo possibly bringing their games to mobile back when the partnership with dna was announced.
it would be interesting to see if this actually ends up happening!
This would definitely be a smart business decision. Would they gain my respect by doing this? Mmm.... nah..
The problem for me personally is two-fold:
1) Strictly speaking, I am NOT a mobile/handheld gamer. I prefer a large screen for my games.
2) I would much prefer gaming on PC these days, and I mainly buy my games on Steam. The only time I actually prefer using consoles is when it's circa 6th/7th generation or older.
On top of that, I highly disagree with Nintendo's business decisions. I think making me pay a subscription to play their old games from the 90's, with no way of buying them for any other platform other than Nintendo hardware, is ludicrous. I fully understand that's how they've always been, but that's the stance I've grown to obtain.
Delta has been THE best thing to ever happen on iphones in a long while. Love playing the games that even nintendo wont let us play anymore for no reason. Honestly whats the point of the Expansion pack now.
I think like you that IF Nintendo put Retro Games on Devices like Phone and Tablet that would mean that less people Pirate stuff
It would be smarter for Nintendo to developer their own smartphone with its own operating system (Not an android or iphone), thats similar to the Galaxy Fold but with a stylus like the S24 Ultra, and that can literally go from a smartphone that turns into a 3ds. Then if they had their own app store with every single GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, NES, SNES, & 64 games which you could buy separately or pay a yearly subscription for. As long as it had the majority of all the common apps that iphone and android phones have, I'd totally trade in my phone for one of those. Especially if it came with their own version of the joycons but built for the phone that you can slide on the sides and then use a cloud service that you could link to the Nintendo Switch 2 and play Switch & Switch 2 games on it! As well as cross stream and play the games on the phone, but stream them TOO the Switch 2 as well. I would pay flagship prices for that phone easy. It would literally be an ALL-IN-ONE ----- Smartphone, tablet, heldheld game console, & regular game console!
I have thought about this for a long time. They already made an app to make nintendo switch online voice chatt possible. If that app acted as a gateway to the retro game library on NSO, that would give people who dont even have a nintendo switch a reason to pay for the subscribtion service. I am sure that many non fans would see the value in being able to play ocarina of time on their phones and tablets. (Legally😉)
Ok before I hear John's guess at 6:21, my guess is, just assume the absolute worst. They're done with their games being ripped and emulated, it's full on stream only, you buy a device, it has a available, a subscription to the games, or you can purchase individual digital only games, and by that, you have them in your account for continuous use, for a 1 time fee. The fee is $60 per game, or $10 per month / $100 per year, and the system sells for $349. There you go.
If they had cloud saves the at sync with the switch, it would be an automatic win for me. Couple that with the ability to play multiplayer with other devices and switches, that would make it amazing.
Hard to believe Nintendo would allow themselves to be at the mercy of a competitor's platform. Same goes for Apple.
okay but imagine Tetris 99 or F-Zero 99 being on phones
Pokémon GB/GBA games translate extremely well to an iOS touch screen... believe it or not.
Nintendo is a company that was a large part of my life as a child and adult. Though I love those memories, I will NEVER rent my own past. If you don’t have a physical copy of the game that works OFFLINE without verification software, you don’t OWN anything. The next best thing to a game on a cartridge is a ROM stored on an SD card. My collection, hard copied, backed up in triplicate, capable of playing off in the woods- THAT is the standard we should stand for. Nothing less. For the love of all that’s good and holy, STOP renting!!! Streaming is convenient but will kill our media!!!!!!
I love this idea and I would even say bring the actual eShop along with Nintendo Online to PC AND Mobile. But instead of relying on Steam, you have your Nintendo launcher and on mobile you a Nintendo app. And across these 3 different platforms, Switch whatever is next, PC and mobile, you can access your library and online service with cross play/save etc. This is something I hope Sony does as well especially if they have a handheld coming and they have their own launcher that hopefully becomes exclusive and they don’t have to rely on Steam. And if you’re a Nintendo fan who gets upset at this idc you’re an insecure baby just like Sony fans were when they first put their games on PC.
The mobile market is where Nintendo can shine. They already do! If they can make exclusive deals with movie studios with pretty much all control of what they create, I believe they could find a deal that would work with Apple. It's honestly a win-win for both. But Nin is weird, so we will see!
Virtual console for mobile and PC would be amazing
How did the icade get around with posting an emulator and atari roms to the apple app store without getting taken down?
I think this would be the only way that I would continue playing Nintendo games, but I would have to see that I could see it in list of owned games and port it over to PC! If not, count me out.
It’s possible that more is planned for their Nintendo online app to coincide with the launch of the next system and that working with Apple was the initial intent, but my guess is that after this move from Apple, Nintendo is disinterested.
I could see this shift in Apple policy being a result of some sort of deal that fell through with Nintendo
But I think Nintendo is too protective over their back catalogue. As of now, we don’t have GC, DS or any mainline Pokémon games on NSO. These would be the biggest draw to their service and they are too protective to put them on their own console.
The only draw to the Nintendo branded app over delta would come if they had all the same number of emulators, close to a full library of games, and made online functionality possible and included features like Pokémon home connectivity
I don’t see the Delta app in the Apple Store top free apps section anymore…. I wonder if Apple is trying to bury it to limit exposure.
I'll do you one better... What if Nintendo made phone/console. The reality is that the handheld market and mobile phone maket is converging. Phones companies are making a push to turn phones into legitimate gaming devices, and then you have consoles manufacturers trying to put their games on phones through streaming and the backbone. Nintendo would be wise to try to get ahead of the competition and find a way to compete with the mobile market (the second largest gaming market). There is a lot of growth potential there if done correctly. Imagine a dual screen Nintendo phone with traditional gaming controls on the bottom screen that plays console quality games.
Had this idea for a few years now tbh
I'd have the basic tier online service on all on platforms just to make you want to switch over for the higher tier and exclusive 1st party titles
Should be an additional feature for existing NSO accounts (or a feature of the expansion pack), and available for ios, android, firetv, roku, Chrome, edge, tizen , Google TV, webOS, PS5, Xbox, just everywhere.
Their next big move would be taking down Delta Emulator lmao
I’m surprised Nintendo havnt talk about the MigSwitch
Nintendo slingin them 2017 tablets like hotcakes & yall eat it up. So glad I sold it all for Playstation 5. Let me know when Nintendo makes a home console with a hard drive
I don’t see this working for anything but Game Boy and NES, since any system with shoulder buttons is terrible to play on a phone. It’s fine for an unofficial emulator because people expect a compromised experience, but requiring people to claw-grip a phone is just not something I think they’ll deem acceptable without a major shift in priorities. There’s a reason the phone games they have made are so extremely simplified.
Anybody know if psp or GameCube emulation coming to the delta app??
I hope Nintendo Port the older Pokemon Games before they kill the switch and let us buy them because I hate having to rent games again. :p
Nintendo could sell retro games on the Apple App Store (or thier own App Store if rules keep changing) and on android for 5$ to $30 and ppl would pay esp the Pokémon games if they can connect to Pokémon home
This is where all gaming is headed. Digital & streaming media on various devices. Similar to stadia but in a few years time once the info structure is established
Delta does not Support Nintendo DS they lied about it, it doesn’t have the bios
In my personal opinion, I don't like that you need a subscription in order to play the games you want to play. If they bring their online subscription to phones, then they need to upgrade their emulator in order to compete with other ones we already have in the play store. I would also like if instead of a subscription, you can maybe buy the games separately with the gold or platinum points and make the emulator free to download. That way, people don't have to pay yearly and have the games that you actually want to play.
I think it was obvious this is what is going to happen. I honestly thought when it launched originally that was how it worked and was disappointed to find it was only a Switch thing.
Nintendo will not survive on console exclusives alone now that Sony/Microsoft are realizing the benefits of cross-platform and indies are even hitting things like Netflix. Investors alone won't allow it.
Even from the all digital future, do you trust nintendo to keep their store front up given their track record? Why on earth would you buy an indie title on the switch that is available on any other digital store front?
The Switch found a niche in the handheld space. They are not the only player there anymore. Handheld pcs have been around for sometime, but were not nearly as mainstream as they are now with Steam, Asus, Lenovo (and Msft rumored) having entered the fray. Even the Switch 2 will not be nearly as successful unless it does something truly revolutionary. Even if you set aside emulation entirely, the Steam Deck does 99% of what the Switch does as most titles are third-party titles available on Steam/Epic. So unless you just have to play Mario and Zelda, you could comfortably skip Nintendo.
FYI
Delta is amazing
Games run flawlessly
The only issue is controls for N64 games. Can you use a controller connected to the phone via blue tooth?
@@akg7873 yea anything apple supports controller wise delta should configure automatically
@@akg7873I just got a backbone last night, ready to go after configuring the buttons and works great.
Give me a Switch port of Yoshi's Woolly World, & I'll be satisfied!
I think you are right on the money with this. It also also Nintendo to keep everyone questioning the morality of using an emulator while there is a paid version.
Just release those games on pc too while they’re at it. They could get away with making their own launcher.
What it’s gonna take for them to put the older Pokémon games on NSO or at least be purchasable on the switch
I’m p sure Nintendo can’t do anything considering this stuff isn’t new, if they cared enough they would have made moves much sooner, like they would have made appearances at the epic v Apple case kinds of sooner
But these are countries we’re talking about that invited this on a official scale, they’ll risk having any move backfire and undo anything they did previously
If Nintendo and Apple come to an agreement then everything is good. Heck I would buy the old classic again for them. Everyone wins.
I think it’s possible, but maybe with different and probably unique features, seeing as some of NSO’s offerings are expansions for Switch games like Animal Crossing and Mario Kart.
the NSO service would be amazing on Smartphones. but at this point i’d say they are late. with emulation all as easy as DELTA, it wouldnt surprise me if we saw dolphin or retroarch follow suit with dedicated apps. Getting DELTA up and running was the easiest thing, even my wife managed on her iphone. if nso ei phones is their next big move, they need to do it ASP cause the emulation scene has been hyping up the nostalgia itch in many iphone users right now
Nobody is buying a Switch specifically because of Switch Online. But tons of people would buy NSO to play the games on their phone.
Personally I think it would shortsighted of Nintendo to do this. It would for sure hurt their hardware and physical software sales in the long run, and their library would become far less collectible imo.
Eh, I don’t think Nintendo is all that inclined to release their console games on other platforms. I think they’re more inclined to keep the phone ecosystem with the more typical phone games. Nintendo tends to be stubborn so the only thing I expect is more Fire Emblem Heroes style games.
so the save files can rot and take up space on my phone when they decide to shut NSO down permanently?
no thanks
Im loving playing Galaga and Pacman on my iPhone
I find it ironic that a company is against people using emulators but use emulators to make a profit off people using a subscription service uuuuuummmmmm I smell hypocrisy 🤔 especially when emulators are built for free use with legit backup methods.
NSO doesn't have any value for me since i bought most of the games i wanted on WiiU but on my phone I'd be willing to play these games again.
Getting back to there roots "Nintendo Entertainment System"
*Theme park licensing - big difference than Nintendo actually having theme parks.
NSO on phones would make nintendo emulators illegal... lol!
IMO, Nintendo cherry picks what goes to NSO because they want to see what they can remake/remaster first then dump the rest on NSO. Slowly.
Nintendo online right move
Great speculation video, more ways to play great games sounds nice to me
