God I hope no one ever buys out Valve. The fact it has no share holds to please is what makes it such a good eco system.
Unless Gabe Newell wants to sell off Valve, Microsoft can't just buy them out. However, that guy is overweight from the pictures I have seen... I'm wondering what his successor line would be for Valve if his health ever deteriorates.
@@caspearious-ghost Gabe Newell fat? Bro look at his update on his figure. Dude is working out
He kinda looks like Gandalf.
Gabe said he would rather go have Valve go bankrupt when EA tried to buy them
@@caspearious-ghosthe recently lost a lot of weight
@@Foun_D_OnePiece I hope he's healthy and not one of those Steve Jobs kind of things.
Regardless, I hope he still has a good successor plan.
Live service sucks
I 1000% Agree with you.
Yes it totally does!
helldivers 2 is fantastic.
I used to think this point blank but I'm really enjoying Helldivers 2 so I think it can be done right. The problem is companies start with the idea of "I want this product to be a live service game" regardless if the live service delivery fits that game or not
Enjoying Diablo IV
I will not be supporting any console going forward without having a physical option. Totally ok w me, I’ll have generations of systems with hundreds of gamesI can go back to
Honestly, my PS5 has mostly been collecting dust- not because there aren’t games on it I want to play, but because I’m still playing backlog from my PS3 😅
@@Motorheadache95no lie, this is exactly where I’m at right now. I’m really digging into ps3 because I played mostly on 360 during that generation, so I’m playing a lot of exclusives there I missed out on. Ps5, doesn’t have that right now
Executives are the problem, they keep doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on live services and they keep failing over and over again. They're the reason why AAA is doing so poorly right now. They will keep trying to push the live service model down to the bottom like a sinking ship without ever changing the course. My advice to developers... leave, start indie companies, don't expect to have any job security with any AAA publishers owning you.
Exactly. Executives aren’t gamers or even creative people. They see market trends and try to copycat other successes until they get the same results.
Bunch of leeches. Leeching their expensive lifestyle off the backs of thousands while barely understanding the space they're supposedly leading in.
Except indie does have the money to release games as often or successful
It's not so much Executives, it's shareholders. The rot starts there, bad management on the part of executives stems from that.
That sticker business DLC really got me😂😂😂
The other game that had DLC in the showcase wasn't even upfront about having DLC, it was on a small banner but not spoken out loud.
That animal well game really makes you feel like an animal
The reason it has dlc is because it is a game that already has itstablished itself on steam... Not a new game. So, I bet their dlc is just kept the same as it is on its original release.
Cat Quest 2 was a MASSIVE upgrade on Cat Quest… if 3 is as good or better than 2 this is an absolute win
Plus who doesn't love a good pirate game? Absolute win
Both Cat Quest games are fantastic. I own them on Steam and Switch. Played them on my own (45yo man) and with my children.
Damn now I have to buy them for my Steam Deck.
Demo is out meow. Come on Spawn Wave!

I think all this emulation should show the Pokemon Company that there is a market for their old games that they are missing out on.
Yea if they put the old games on the switch with all their functionality and be able to transfer Pokemon to Pokemon home I'll pay 20 dollars per game
I’d buy them in a heartbeat if they put them on the AppStore
@@HighSaiyanZ on the 3ds they charged you 10$ for first 2 gens 5$ more then other gameboy games on the virtual console. Thats definitely something they can do it was still top selling as well. I think they're worried about cloud saves clouds don't work for any pokemon game.
pokemon company release their old games that show how bad the new releases truly are, lol not a chance. they wouldnt be able to sell their unfinished games if they did that
The thing I love about both Shantae and River City Girls is the clean designs and animation. YARS looks to have the art style in the bag but it's kind of stiff. It's weird to see a Wayforward game with so little passive movement.
Gameplay AND visual-wise. . . it reminds me of some "adult" games I seen on the eshop and steam trending page. And those games selling point isn't exactly "made for quality".
Yes! I recently stumbled upon skull girls as well and love the style and animations.
@@Hadeks_Marow Which games are those?
All of the Shantae games and the River City Girls titles are ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEMS 💎 and if you haven’t played or checked out either of those games out then you’re missing out BIG TIME and if you’re a big fan of beat ‘em up style games like I am then you NEED to go check out “Last Beat Enhanced” I have it on my switch and I’ve been playing a TON of it lately.
Yeah that completely threw me off as well.
If that TMNT game doesn't have offline coop on the Nintendo Switch of all platforms; I am going to pass. Once again the prioritization of online coop shafts what should be a no Brainer offline coop game. I would rather have offline only than online only, as it would make it worth adding to the growing TMNT library on the Switch. Here is hoping they include it and we get ports of the 2003 and the 3D PS3/360 games.
Agreed. Time to start re-incentivizing people to socialize locally. Not only distant. Online is nice to have but, local multiplayer is what people have been wanting for years now.
*"TMNT: BATTLE NEXUS {PS2)"* REMAKE PLZ!
@@TheInfinityMaster1 That would be epic! That way; they can fix some of the glaring issues of the original release; like giving each player their own health bar and making the combat controls; more responsive like the first game and less "timed" with the buttons presses.
I've been playing Mutants in Manhattan on Xbox Series X. I don't care what anyone says, the game is great. The AI can be whack but it's still soo good. I'll defend it to the end. We'll definitely never see it again unfortunately.
@qphlat27 I would love a re-release of that gane with 2 player splitscreen. 4 player local wirless play and 4 player online for Nintendo Switch and current consoles.
I think the Nintendo Switch alone proves it is not about sheer power. In the end it is about the game and the enjoyment. The endless upgrade cycle for everything is tiresome. It would be nice if we did not have to upgrade the systems every 8 years or so and then they would spend the money on game development instead.
The reason new hardware is released every so many years is because hardware sales go down and new hardware is needed to boost sales. Even Nintendo is in constant need of releasing new hardware. They released the Switch, then Switch Lite, then Switch OLED, and next year, they'll be releasing the Switch 2. Also, the reason Nintendo doesn't release the most powerful handheld they can is because they want to keep the cost down for consumers.
To an extent but it's reaaaallly showing its age and its becoming impossible to port anything. When games run poorly, it does effect enjoyment.
If they make a Golden Axe movie i hope they cast a woman with head crushing thighs
Rhea Ripley
its by the people who did the lower decks last I heard..... i'm betting its going to be an adult style animation.....RIP.

Ask all the developers who lost their jobs from 2022 until now the same question about live service games. Let's see how many of them have confidence on this "adorable" business model.
When Gabe Newell is still alive, Valve NEVER gonna be sold to Microsoft.
When they get Delta emulator running on AppleTV 👌
Just airplay the emulator to your apple tv using your iPhone or iPad
Do you have a website to download games for Delta

I want a Crazy Taxi movie.
I like how 4% of developers were in the "too stupid to vote" category of the live service poll.
There were about 3-4 titles that I was interested about from the showcase. I said it was a win for what it was.
Kids still crying over silksong
There's always that somebody who shovelware will appease, otherwise they wouldn't be made.
Hmm .. I thought Ubisoft was bold to try and rebrand Skull and Bones into a furry top down adventure.
Game developers should form a union.
If you want to know how this will turn out, look at the tv and film industry
Since their last strike, the amount of projects being made has halved. Streaming operates much like the live service model. The second the suits get pressed and told to pay more by the union, they just invest less in the industry to keep investors happy.
I’m not saying unionizing is bad, but it can be a double edged sword. Not to mention a gaming union would surely like AI protections and if that happens expect a lot of studios to punish devs by making less work for them…
If Golden Axe is going to Comedy Central I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to be something like that horrible reboot of Scooby Doo... Velma
You *_do not_* speak The Forbidden Name.
@@MasterZebulin Affirmative
Poor Sea of Thieves, 40 million players but all of them are pirates
What about Skull and Bones? No, wait! It's a Ubisoft game, so nevermind. it's not worth the trouble nor the time.
Never thought they'd go back to Steam World Heist! Hope the new naval combat doesn't suck, and glad the goofy hats are making a comeback too.
Loved the first one
That Indie World was not for me, ì will just say that I don't like how people hate the show because Hollow Knight Silksong didn't come up, let Team Cherry work on the game, I'd rather they give it us when it is finished
This “when it is finished” line doesn’t mean anything anymore.
Elden Ring launched a mess and still won GOTY.
Elden Ring is a souls type of game, with tight hit-boxes, i-frames and a need of low latency. FromSoft failed to deliver in this department. In spite of this, Elden Ring still (corruptly) got 10’s across the board. The console versions are just not as bad as PC, but Digital foundry proved Elden Ring was severely lacking on the performance side at launch.
Why did Elden Ring get a pass at launch when its frame rate was all over the place on top of other issues at launch? Why the lack of uproar?
Why always glorifying FromSoft despite them ALWAYS releasing unoptimized games at release? People will still wet themselves if Silksong released in similar shape.
I hate it because it was all shovelware. The biggest indie game they had wasn't even indie, it was a property owned by nickelodeon where the gameplay was just a ripoff of hades. . . and was a port of a mobile phone game (apple arcade but still).
The biggest game. . . was just shameless. Nintendo really REALLY needs to stop pushing all these stupid "artsie" games. I get there is an audience for it. . . but we are talking about videogames here. Games by their dictionary definition are a competitive form of play. So the focus should WAY more be on "action games" because that's the thing that got 90% of game players into video games. But for some reason, when nintendo hear indie, they think "cutsie, artsie, story".
@@cbgg1585 and i absolutely agree that we shouldn't give developers a free pass

I'm actually a bit surprised companies are allowing emulation to fly without much pushback. It's a bit crazy to see all of the emulation boxes, handhelds, hdds chock full of games being sold on Amazon. Now Nintendo games are on IOS and the Ninjas are silent? Weird times.
Technically it’s not the games, just the consoles, but I do get what you mean yea
It's kinda funny how Apple is just now letting emulators on their devices when Android has been doing emulation for much much longer.
Apple is like that guy who comes late to the party and everybody is just cheerful when they see him. But instead that guy needs to get his belly smacked 'till it's red!
Thanks captain obvious. We have been saying this for the last 12 years.
Stitch is a really fun game that also comes from Apple Arcade. I recommend it to anyone who just wants a relaxing puzzle game
I'm so glad Cat Quest wasn't just a one and done, both games are really fun especially co-op. My daughter and I have had a blast with them. Looking forward to 3!
I'm arraid that having a bunch of emulators on q store as big as Apple's is just goong to provoke a whole new wave of legal challenges. That kind of mainstream spotlight might make game companies increasingly agitated.
I am happy that I found this channel. Thanks for Delta information!
I’m genuinely surprised that PlayStation didn’t lock PC trophies support behind their own PC launcher… Seems like a pretty easy way to gain traction from Sony fans on PC.
Golden Axe on Comedy Central?
I have questions…
That’s why I don’t bother watching indy direct’s showcases and didn’t answer the pole question because none of these games excite me
Thank you for your bravery
I can now call you my favourite Nintendo CZcamsr since SOMEONE else doesn't like that moniker.
Golden axe prediction: good case scenario, like South Park or drawn together. Worst case scenario, code monkeys.
Golden Axe will probably be more of a parody if it's on Comedy Central.
Watching the Steamworld Heist promo reinforced the classics will never die. Combat is straight up Worms Armageddon, 😆. Love it.
Apple on board means they intend to cash in
Somehow I feel an Altered Beast series would do better than a Golden Axe series
It would probably only be 3 episodes long.
If the big three took preservation seriously, I’d be opposed to emulating games. But if they don’t care enough about this to give us tools for preservation themselves, then emulation is a necessary tool.
Yars is definitely going to be one of the games ever made...
Yuro, Cat Quest, and the Robot game though, I am definitely trying those out.
I actually already started shifting my PlayStation games over to PC a couple of months ago. All of the PlayStation games that I hadn't played yet were re-purchased, on a sale, of course, on PC and added to my Steam library. (My PlayStation library is so small, it only made sense.) So this is excellent news for me.
There are just 18 games left on my PS5 that are stuck on that platform since Steam doesn't have those games. After I wax off the last PlayStation games, it will just be the Xbox and PC running this house. (And a wee bit of the Nintendo Switch as well.)
Genuinely surprised "little kitty, big city" wasn't already trademarked by the adult film industry.
The thing that sucks about live service for developers is if it flops, it’s not the executive that gets fired. It’s the devs… so yeah, they should be concerned.
I wonder if that sea of thieves number includes people like me who literally played for about 10 minutes and noped out of it
of course it does
If they could include ppl looking at the listing they would lmao

The real number is concurrent players not anyone who has ever made a account!
The addition of a PlayStation Integration on Ghost of Tsushima is really intriguing. I'd be more likely to buy Sony games on PC (so I can play on my Deck) if this is pushed out to more games (and works on the Deck)
Anyone else currently revisiting DS and GBA games? Best time ever...
Delta works fine on Macs with the M chipset. Just launched with R-Type on SNES on a MacBook Pro M1. Nice

Nintendo indie events are just them showing off a bunch of games that already came out on Steam, But they announce them like they're new lol
I love watching the indie showcase just to see all the creative ideas! I may not play all of them but I know theres someone out there who will probably love one of those games and play it daily.
I think anyone who was genuinely expecting hollow knight silksong doesn't understand the industry at all. Microsoft clearly has marketing rights. It's not gonna show up first at a nintendo showcase ESPECIALLY not an indie world
I prefer just one player traditional games. Live service is okay but can get boring for me after a while.
I don't know why people keep expecting Hollow Knight Silksong all the time. That game has already been featured in an Indie World Showcase. As far as I can remember there hasn't been an indie game that has been featured twice or more on Indie World Showcase. At most a game gets a feature once and later is part of the sizzle reel, just like Another Crab's Treasure. That being said it is not out of the realm of possibilities that a game won't be featured twice. There just isn't any precedence for it, to keep expecting Silksong to be featured in another Indie World Showcase.
I can't wait for the Chu Chu Rocket movie
Nintendo direct: HYPE
Partner showcase: mild excitement
Indie world: I'll watch it if I remember it's happening
Yeah I don't bother with anything else other than a true direct. If there's anything of slight interest then I'll know of it anyway but mostly it's just garbage indie games.
Direct: Mario, Zelda
Showcase: Farming Game Convention
Indie: Gen Z Hipster Playable Slide Show

"what's up guys, welcome-a back to news wave"
I downloaded the delta emulator today, I’m waiting for some more people to look into it before I start really using it. Glad to see that more emulators are coming to iOS.
As much as I am happy about Sony's update to Ghost of Tsushima, I can't help but wonder how much I'm actually going to use my PS5 in the future. Between Switch, PC, Wii U, GameCube, a few handhelds, and the PS5 I'm already gaming on the PS5 the least. But when Sony starts adding all this PS account stuff to their PC releases, I'll have less and less reason to fire up my PS5.
That's so wild. I had no idea and I was playing Golden Axe 2 last night
Glad to see iOS is finally actually getting emulators. Hopefully this leads to more apps coming to iOS in general, like godot or blender
I knew Silksong wasn't showing up. People thinking Nintendo got the publicity for it, they're wrong. It's definitely Xbox that will reveal it.
The best thing about an Indie World is imagining how much RGT will hate the games.

Cant wait for valley peaks to come out. I made the frog models for it :)
Really bummed that TMNT isn't local co-op
How can we support the Delta devs? Is there a paid version?

@@jcdenton41100 I remember playing GBA on my first Android device in 2012, and it was all by legal ways

Are you saying "Gowden Axe"? 🤣
Golden Axe as a comedy sounds good only because my only interaction with the franchise was on some megadrive collection and with Gillus being a character on sonic for hire
I'm stunned about the emulator policy on the app store but downloaded Delta and had a blast with Kirby. However with the DS side you will need to provide your own bios files! The dev recently got support for multiplayer on NES, SNES, and N64. Maybe down the line we can see link cable support for GB, GBC, GBA, and DS.
My specific thoughts:
- There are very few games that do well as live-service: Games like Sea of Theives (like you just mentioned), but also DLC-driven games like Minecraft, I honestly thought Pinball FX during early access “had” a good foundation, (using currency to pick, choose & buy tables rather than buying bulk $9 to $30 table bundles, with these automated discounts, and having it all cross-platform; but that was canned due to fan outcry, mostly because of that table upgrade path getting the axe, & general disgust for live-service monetization, in addition to Zen getting hammered by Embracer & with Saber becoming independent)
- I was pretty pumped to see Antonblast the moment I saw it on Kickstarter, glad to see it there: Also forget Hollow Knight Silksong, Pizza Tower might have a better chance of appearing in these things.
- Golden Axe as a Comedy Central comedy is an interesting choice. I am glad SegaSammy decided to stretch their wings beyond Sonic & Persona getting multimedia projects. I hope either Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles, Phantasy Star, Sakura Wars or even Space Channel 5 get some type of Anime adaptation someday.
I know i can just use my old galaxy phone for emulation but it’s cool playing gba and n64 games on my iphone 😁 I think this just speaks to how good certain game systems were gba snes etc there is a market for that if emulation was better handled .
I wonder how apple would react to a Pippin emulator
I guess we should coin the term "Stray like" early
I’m so happy emulators are coming to iPhone because I have an iPhone mostly for ease of communication with my family they all have iPhones and FaceTime so kind of just had to join in. This is great news
Cat Quest is severely slept on! Just finished Cat Quest 2 a couple weeks ago so I'm pumped for 3. Huge fan of pirate themed things so that's a plus too!
If you look at the indie showcase numbers, flip it sideways, it looks like everyone gave it "the finger".
Dude, I don’t even want to joke about Microsoft buying Valve 16:42
Turtles game coming off of Apple exclusivity is a big deal? I wouldn't even know about that game if it weren't for you keep bringing it up.
"Golden Axe make a compelling show"? It's Comedy Central. It will probably be occasionally funny at best and CC will call it a hit regardless because Sega paid them to
Doesn't make you cringe how hard Nate from Nintendo Prime copies your style and thumbnails so hard?
Keep up the great work, appreciate what you do.
Ya i will never do live service. Wont even give hell divers a chance
Game devs are like old people saying "hey fellow kids"
Because you think Live service is the future? (What are you trying to say)
y but that now is confusing me a bit,so if i buy a PS game on Steam and i sign to that PS Network will i get those trophys?or i have to buy the game directly from the PS Store on PC
Can you use the emulator on old Apple phones? I was given a 7 year old one recently for back-up and have never used an Apple product beyond the iPod
Hell yeah, Delta (GBA4iOS) has been around for YEARS and is an awesome emulator. I’ve been using their workaround for a long time ever since the date rollback stopped working. I’m glad it’s finally official and I don’t have to use a developer to load it on and renew the cert every 7 days.
Live service rules!
Remember these are the same people who thought NFTs were a good idea in video games. No wonder live service is failing them
I liked stitch the second I saw it in the showcase, as I was looking for a puzzle game like this for a long while, and it does not disappoint so far.
I will say I absolutely HATE this silksong purgatory we're in rn. On one hand, people are tuning in to more and more presentations, but on the other hand, they're going in expecting silksong, being disappointed, then crapping on/overlooking the games that are there. I just want to watch game presentations in peace again after not only the era of Smash Bros Ultimate DLC, but also Hollow Knight: Silksong
Ghost of Tsushima
I'm fine with the additional cross platform Playstation account, if its just optional. I don't want to use a Playstation account. Hopefully it will not require it.
I thought the animation of the main character in YARS looked very wooden when they were jumping about. The transitions lacked fluid movements between poses like running, Jumping and turning.
The Delta emulator is very good and fun, but there’s a bug or something that after a short a while of playing DS or N64 games. The sound will be replaced by a long buzzing noise, and you have to go to the main menu of the emulator and back into the game you were playing to bring back the original sounds.
I hope this will be patched soon. Other than that, it’s very cool emulator and make sure to be careful while finding and downloading games, and the files needed in order to make DS games work.
Oh, yeah. The GBA has the same problem that I’ve mentioned above, but the buzzing noises is somewhat permanent after a second of loading up an GBA games. I don’t know why, and I believe it’s not the games itself. So, I think it’s the emulator needs some fixes with this buzzing sounds.
The problem with Indie World is that people are wanting a real Nintendo Direct. It reminds me of Metroid Prime Federation Force, if they had swapped the releases of that with the Metroid 2 remake, it might have gone over better with fans.
Patrick Warburton as Ax=Battler or I riot.
With the survival of AAA games at risk what is the point of a next gen console. If they learned anything about innovation the PSVR2 was painful. Also the 3D audio was not a game changer. The only thing that won was to improve massively on basic performance and that was the SSD. They need to improve on 90% of what we use. The biggest game changer for me going to a PC was I can make a controller to bypass the joystick dead-zones they put into games. Smooth and natural best describes it. It is about precision. There are just things I would not attempt with a regular controller. It has changed how I game.
