#Nintendo #NintendoSwitch - Hry
Didn't watch the last 25 Direct/Switch 2 rumor videos but I can always catch the next 25.
At this point, Nintendo themselves could upload the official trailer, and we'd all be like, "sure buddy"
🤣🤣🤣
Half these game news channels are going to die when they actually announce the switch 2. It’s a lot easier to farm unsubstantiated rumors every day than it is confirmed press releases
At this point the spawncast and nate the fake and rgt are all cooked
@@malvia1 (RGT enters the Chat)
"I'm actually not a Nintendo CZcamsr"
Perfect time to catch up on that backlog of games and let Nintendo take whatever time they need.
That's what I've wen telling everyone....
Nintendo can have a gap year after steering the ship making games after games
Same here
yup
Nintendo will announce whatever they want whenever they want. They dont care about what the internet thinks. 😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly.
Exactly
Nintendo is the internet. What you meant to say is Nintendo doesnt care what you think. And that includes you.
Your supporting the kings and queens taking your freedom all while spreading their message.
Exactly
Nintendo - They don't care
The basic tagline really.
We have reached the life cycle where Nintendo youtubers have nothing to talk about so its gonna be rumors after rumors every week
Nintendo will announce an OLED 64GB Switch Lite.
That would be wild if the Switch OLED Lite actually did happen this year.
“I would like an OLED 64GB Switch Lite.”
There, fixed it
Wow
You know in all seriousness I'm surprised they haven't done this yet. 🤔
@@seth_erroth249 Honestly though I am shocked too, but at this point I think most people are getting kind tired of the dated/week specs of the Switch. I still have mine to play Mario Wonder and stuff, but otherwise all my mobile gaming is done on my 1TB Steam Deck which has been amazing!
Lmao there was never even gonna be a Direct in April anyway, since when do people listen to some brazilian leakers 😂.
Fr i just ignore them
Not even us in Brazil listen to them tbh
People believing in an April direct were clearly not Nintendo fans during 2016.
We got a Direct on March 3rd 2016.
Then they CANCELLED the June E3 direct and only showcased Breath of the Wild.
And then a very brief 3DS only direct in September.
Basically every other “direct” or announcement that year was what we would call a “Twitter direct” nowadays.
No
Sure.
3ds/wiiu marketing cycle to now is very different.
Also games cost far more to make
I'll never understand people thinking, "No new game? System dead." There is such a crazy amount of incredible games to play. I've played probably a thousand games in my life, (Hardly any indies) and I have a couple dozen installed and ready to play at any given time.
Nintendo fans are always thinking another direct is on the way. We just had one less than 2 months ago. And they didn’t have any content to justify it. Just relax and enjoy the games currently available to you
They are seething because it was a partner direct and we are getting back burner lower budget titles after tears
Said the same thing on the comments section on some of the Nintendo CZcamsrs that couldn't accept playing third-party or indie games.
It's hilarious to see their faithful subscribers type an essay on why they can't enjoy games not published by Nintendo.
*@thatoneguy1821*
Well, many of my online friends are emotionally tired of playing the _Mario Party Superstars_ video game; so I *_*NEED*_* either a brand-new Mario Party video game or an enhanced port of _Mario Party 10_ but with online functionality for this time around, there.
Bro, the last direct was 6 months ago.
@Flaidan wrong, there was a direct a few months ago, Partner showcases still count as a direct
It’s amazing how 95% of these “leakers” are just rumour mill scam artists seeking to make easy money from easy clicks
And how people keep falling for it. They are farming content creators like CZcamsrs. And this content creators are farming you, the viewer.
And the fact you made this post, which means you clicked on the video, shows it worked then and still works now….sucka!!!! Lol
I've got a game to sell you....
Since of these fake a$$ leakers..
Why in the hell would they bring out a new system if they're still selling the current system like gangbusters at full price? Unlike Sony and M$, Nintendo makes money for every system sold. They are man handling the other two companies.
Indeed, also Nintendo is the only company which is afraid of generation transition, it always been hot or miss for them. They clearly don't rush toward this new change since everything is working well for them now, compared to last generation. That said, they also want to use the Switch momentum to sell a new system, so it will be soon but influencers were calling the Switch 2 back since 2021 when Nintendo released games like Splatoon 3, lmao, such clowns.
The Switch is reaching its limit for supporting games that the other systems run.
@@LainK1978 it's irrelevant if it's still selling systems. Nintendo makes systems for Nintendo games. It's selling despite not having most the AAA titles released on P$5 and Xbox.
Nintendo isn't in a rush at this point. I'm thinking June direct seems most likely at this point. They're on cruise control.
“I’ve seen comments asking for no more switch 2 rumors, so here’s more news on switch 2 rumors.” 😂 love it
I actually like Switch 2 speculation. It's interesting.
@@skycloud4802tbh same. I can’t wait till we start speculating PS VITA 2 🤩
I actually like the opposite. It's interesting @@skycloud4802
I’m waiting for the next Sega Dreamcast 2 rumors to start back up
Most people are super interested in Switch 2 rumors, that's why creators endlessly make such videos. The people complaining about it are just the vocal minority.
Some say it's just pushed back internally, and others would just call that "convenient" for rumors.
Only John would advertise bad news with that smirk on his face.
He likes to look around cluelessly with uncertainty in his voice while delivering the news
with handheld pc's coming out and being more readily available, Nintendo is really gonna have to put out a solid system.
there's something to that, but most of their audience (and this is also the case for myself) don't care that much about hardware specs and are there for the exclusive games. that has always been their strength and will likely continue to be
Because this is a very light year for Nintendo, I believe this is the year people need to grab as many physical Switch games as possible as we draw nearer to an all digital future. You don't have to play them all right away, but you'll have them in the future. This is my plan at least going forward, I've missed so many games and my collection is small. One tip is to utilise game sales to the max.
Prime 4 has to be a cross platform release like zelda breath of the wild
No way switch is too underpowered no way retro is gunna risk releasing it on switch it's only been in development for a lil over a yr it's gunna be a huge title for Nintendo's next system
Watching/listening to News Wave is my every morning ritual with coffee. By far the best channel to keep up in the day to day gaming industry news
The three things i love about nintenedo is 1 - Their games are working 99% of the time unlike steam deck which some games crash. 2 - Being able to go airplane offline mode and have games function is huge. Yes carts are owned but even with extra downloaded content , being able to play with out Internet has saved my bum in spring storms. 3. Price price price. The switch is an affordable gaming mobile console.
I never believed in an April Nintendo Direct and now I'm laughing at the clowns that believed in that rumor.
One of them was even deleting comments that were lightly trolling them to preserve their paper-thin ego which is hilarious.
Your buddy RGT 85 feels the need to put out a Switch 2 video just about every single day. But then claims he’s not one of those crappy channels that puts out shitty Switch 2 rumors constantly.
What Nintendo Direct? The one you invented in your head? I subscribed to this channel because many said this was the best one for gaming news, but I think they really just meant prolific.
His newswave videos is gaming news. He also makes speculation videos from time to time. You never speculate about things in your life ? Geez people
I always have some difficulty when leaker say something like "Indie World was planned before GDC, but I guess all of those plans went out of the window". The indie dev signed a NDA with Nintendo to not talk about their game in the Direct. Game dev count on these Direct as huge marketing device. Imagine if there is a "Shadow Drop" in it, but it will also be on multiplatform. How you handle the marketing now if Nintendo decided to push the Direct later randomly. Nintendo know that the dev counts on the Direct for the marketing (like I have said for a shadow drop or pre order announcement).
They need to give us a roadmap for the rest of the year soon
I haven’t bought any real Nintendo games in the past few months, because nothing that I really like has come out. Maybe I’ll get Luigi’s mansion 2, but is not out yet. So in the mean time I’ve been playing Skyrim on the Switch and have been enjoying my time with it.
Was there even legitimate news about a next gen console .. why is everyone saying it was delayed and nothing was ever legitimately announced?
Wow, this is the first time I very much disagree with one of Jon’s predictions. Usually he’s very analytical and practical but a switch 2 reveal in August? The only way I could see that happening is if they also lower the switch price by $100 or more so the announcement doesn’t totally cannabalize switch 1 sales
This is exactly why if switch 2 is being announced this year it has to come out this year. Announcing a switch 2 before the holiday season and not releasing it till next year would just cannibalize sales
Traditionally Nintendo have always used legacy technology in their systems to guarantee they make a profit on the hardware that they sell. You got to think about the fact that the current Switch sales still remain strong. Combined with the current higher cost of electronic components. Would probably mean that Nintendo themselves aren't in a rush to release a new system. Probably not a popular opinion but it is the reality.
If there is gonna be a new Fure Emblem i hope they learned their lesson from Engage. It was definitely not well received
I appreciate the rumor videos John, speculation is fun. Fact is, it’s either we get some hints towards next gen or radio silence from Nintendo. I wonder which is more interesting.
This time last gen, Nintendo had Breath of the Wild on the docket as the big hype game to start the momentum for the Switch. It'll probably be the same for Metroid Prime 4. It's going to be the killer app for the next console (will still be a dual-system release).
Considering the OLED launched with Metroid Dread and was fairly successful, I think Nintendo would be fine with launching their new console with Prime 4. It might take on a new moniker to make it more appealing to all audiences.
At this point, they should not get excited over a Nintendo Direct. Either is just a new teaser, a bunch of trailers for games available elsewhere and more games added to a service you have to pay twice to get mediocre emulation for some games you probably won’t play.
Although traditionaly the Ninendo directs showed games and peripherals that would come out in the coming quater, I remember that at the last one (I think it was the partner one) they made a big point of saying that it covered the next half year and a few games shown were for as far away as September. I thought at the time that the next time I expected to see a full presentation from them would be for the Tokyo Game Show in September.
I hear a lot about a Twilight Princess/Wind Waker HD bundle, but I think that Nintendo will sell that separately to fill in some gaps and make more money by charging $60 for each as they did with Skyward Sword. Most Zelda fans would buy them separately and I think Nintendo know this.
Nintendos probably about announce something, sees someones prediction online and is like “nahh, i dont wanna anymore” and just keeps postponing it 😂
MP4 and Silksong hit on the same day and MV fans minds go KABOOM
If we would have gotten a switch pro model, this generation of switch could have gone on forever
Nintendo: this month the switch sold HOW MUCH??? QUICK, PUSH BACK THE RELEASE DATE OF THE SWITCH 2!!!
I think it's good that you acknowledge the fact that Switch 2 gets clicks and that people are tired of it. Because we are. But it really depends on the info. Like the delay is definitely worth mentioning and the GDC stuff was as well. Things like the Switch Mini was hopefully a thing as well. But sometimes it's just too much. So honestly I give you props for being real here. I just hope Nintendo has something else great in store for this year. Great video.
Based on past Zelda releases Ocarina of Time is next up for a remake, not WW or TP. That rumor sounds more like wishful thinking.
They're working on it, for Switch 2.
I thought them just taking the 3ds versions of OOT and MM putting them in HD was most likely. Everyone knows nintendo has just been sitting on TP and WW in the vault its not hard to port wii u titles
Ngl, I'd be stoked for a Link to the Past remake in the Breath of the Wild style.
@jmtheelitefan9616 the map of botw is basically a link to the past just with a few new areas like ocean and snowy mountain tacked into it did you not notice the landmarks before?
@@AlphaladZXA The map has references to the entire series, not to mention Kakariko Village is in the complete opposite direction from LTTP. Calling it “LTTP but with tacked on mountains and ocean” is a vast oversimplification.
The switch came out when I just started highschool. The Switch 2 may come out after I have completed my masters degree and settled into a job.
If you are a Nintendo user playing only handheald on Nintendo Switch.
Will you notice any big difference on a Switch 2 device in Nintendo first party games?
Metroid Prime 4 is going to be their Switch 2 release big title.
Edit: yes I meant Prime 4
More then likely there's no way they gunna put it on the switch it's too underpowered
I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out before them tbh. It's definitely not a system seller
Its going to be crossgen like breath of the wild was.
Metroid 4 is Fusion lmao
But I get ya. I know you mean Prime 4 lol
I would love to see mp4 this year. Mp2/3 remastered would be amazing too.
I'm just hoping for any updates on Metroid Prime 4. Having it here this year would be wild though.
@@ourfamilyaccount agreed, it would make a sparse year an awesome year.
I love all the switch 2 rumors. People just take them way too seriously.
If I'm being honest, I'd like to stop hearing about Nintendo console leaks. Let them give us details when they are prepared and ready. Look at what happened with Rocksteady. GTA6 details were literally hacked from them, so they had to unveil the game sooner than planned. Only to then push it's release date back because again... it wasn't ready. Give the publishers and developers time to release a product they are confident on and stop pressuring them to share details that aren't finalized or they don't feel comfortable sharing yet. Leaks don't make these products better. They only make them worse.
People always depend on the leakers
IF Metroid Prime 4 were to release this holiday, I really dont want to play it on the current Switch. Which means I will have to wait for the next console to get the best experience.
Would be nice if the next switch has a 1080p screen to be able to play the docked mode versions of games on handheld mode
Y’all CZcamsrs love these kind of rumor posts. Most of you guys will cover it and that dude RGT will milk it into 10+ videos
Man, what the heck!? Remember the days when video game magazines would show screenshots of games that were in development like, years in advance? Now in April, we don't even know what's happening as soon as July. Plus, no E3, all women in games mandated to be ugly, disc's being shipped that simply initiate a digital download, boring AAA games, community managers that hate their customers. I miss the way gaming used to be.
I never click on the Nintendo Switch 2 rumour videos personally, since it's all just speculation until Nintendo actually gives us official info. Maybe it's because I'm still fully enjoying my current Switch, so I'll probably get hyped when we actually see the new console and the games that are in development for it. Especially if Metroid Prime 4 is shown during the reveal!
I love the idea of playing Xenoblade 3 again on next gen hardware. I loved that game so much, but oh boy was it ever ROUGH on the Switch.
Do ppl have not have a backlog to work on!?
work. lol 😁
Nope not me 😅
Mostly streamers want to raise their viewership. Always have that FOMO attitude. For the majority, please finish your backlogs first! You''ll thank yourselves for saving money.
No because I keep adding to it…lol. I’ll have a back log to play if Nintendo stops rereleasing games from WiiU and 3DS that I never played. I’m at 40 games owned physically and 10 digitally. I have beat 3 of those games so far. I plan on buying 50 more by end of year. Trying to hit 100 in my collection
@@Patrick-tw7nrlol I'm doing almost the same thing. cheers to that
Low-key I'm just expecting the switch to last until 2027 to get to Year 10
Google and Openai are probably buying all of Nvidia’s chips right now along with the other companies that are bringing forth this generation of ai. This would mean that Nintendo has no place to source their chips used in their next generation console. Something similar happened in the 90s with Nintendo’s “Project Atlantis” handheld.
Right, Nintendo would reveal the next switch this September to sabotage their own holiday sales… dude if it’s launching next March, we won’t hear about it until January.
Thank you, someone with actual common sense. If they’re not releasing it this year then why reveal it? Switch can have another holiday season by itself without sales being cannibalized
I’m tired of both the launch trailer and the OLED Switch trailer….🙃
I took a shot every time I saw a CZcams video about the switch 2 or the PS5 pro. Now I have stage 5 liver damage
I look forward to hearing Nintendo officially cancel Metroid Prime 4 for the Switch and moving it to the Switch 2. The Combined Anguish Screams will be Glorious! 🙂
Absolutely wild Metroid Prime 4 was announced at the beginning of the switch lifespan, and now here we are at the end of it still waiting for another announcement
I still don't think they will announce another console before holidays if it's not releasing before December 24, from Wii U to Switch they didn't care because of the poor sales of the Wii U, Switch on the other hand still have good number so an announcement before holidays could negatively impact sales.
Only people without backlogs should be complaining about the pacing of Switch 2 news/release date.
Tokyo Xanadu is the Switch game of the summer
The direct leaker is full of sh!t, “oh sorry guys my bad 🤷 “ when it was THE safest most bland “prediction” possible
Is it possible for Nintendo to release some kind of physical product to fill this void? Another classic mini? Another game and watch?
I forgot about Metroid Prime 4
Yeah, that game is not coming to the Switch. There’s a small chance it never gets released. Something weird is going on with that title.
@@leeartlee915 Definitely development hell
@@leeartlee915retro has only been working on prime 4 for barely a yr there's no way it's gunna be released on current switch it's too underpowered
@@runescape2710They've been working on it since 2019, maybe late 2018. That's over 5 years.
You would do well to go ahead and forget about it again.
As much as I would love to see a new console I truly believe Nintendo can still push switches until 2027
I’m totally fine with there being a gap. I still haven’t touched Pikmin 4 or Fire Emblem Engage. I still haven’t finished Return to Dreamland or Advance Wars or like half of the games they’ve put out in the past 2 years, and Paper Mario isn’t even here yet.
The Switch has one of the biggest and best game lineups of any Nintendo console, and I’m totally fine to have some more time with it
when it comes to the switch 2 im not surprised its being put back, the switch 2 would only really be a upgrade rather than a whole new system. Think what it was like going from the gamecube to the wii, thats a whole ecosystem change, the wii to the switch though is just a upgrade, a big one but just a upgrade.
Hopefully Prime 4 will be a dual console release. If it is that would tip the scales for me to finally pick up a switch. Probably a lite with a broken screen to amoled mod.
I don't blame John, it's his job to stay current and put videos out constantly. I go through stretches where I'll watch every video that has to do with PC, Switch, and PS5 news daily. For the past year or so I've only been watching one video every other month, and I've gotta tell you, it's been wonderful. I don't have to obsess over release dates and rumors anymore. I learn about them when they come out and it's so much better, for me. Sorry John. Keep up the good work though!
I can't even remember the last time I brought a Switch game, the lack of a February direct that they clearly had enough content for was a major red flag, it clearly effected sales of Peach Show Time too (not to mention its only 4 hours long)
Nintendo should hold-off on releasing the console for 2 more years minimum. Sales are not declining at any sort of rate that would signal consumers are “over” the Switch. Milk that console for all it’s worth.
seems weird they would go into the new FY meeting without a plan beyond Luigi’s Mansion 2 . That’s why I think a Direct or maybe a few Twitter announcements for more games will happen before then (May 7th).
Metroid still be a launch title for switch 2, like botw was for the og switch
I need to talk to the mario kart tour players about this. They not gonna believe these lies
Title said there was news. What news?
we aren't getting a general direct until summer
Affordable and accessible handheld is something that nintendo should be able to provide
I know I've been sick lately, but this is the first I've heard about the new Endless Ocean, and that completely made my week. That's like dropping a new Pilotwings game - not something everyone will love, but a rare pre-order from me as the ultimate chill out cozy game (Also: can we get a new Pilotwings on the next system? Please?)
I'm not so sure I believe Nintendo will have a year and 1⁄2 of overlay between generation commitment.
I really wouldn't be surprised with the release schedule being this thin to see Zelda WW/TP being sold and released separately to pad it out.
Really dissapointed that it is gonna be an indie world tomorrow
There was never going to be an April direct. The switch to was never coming out in 2024.
There indeed is a strange situation happening at Nintendo
At this point, Nintendo should have “Metroid Prime 4” be a launch title for their next system. We waited this long anyways, and I think would be a strong launch to help sell the new system.
If they had to push back the release to make more units , I’m all for it . Sick of these companies dropping systems without enough units to cover the launch
I wonder what Nintendo will do for memory card ports on the next system if it's backward compatible, because i presume a lot of people already have their SD cards packed with Switch titles already. I have 1TB card in mine and i the number of digital games i have exceeds that storage capacity....
So, in alternate timeline, Nintendo would've released the Switch 2 this year, possibly Metroid Prime 4 as well, and we'd probably be watching the April Direct right now
7:03 Eh, at this point I also suspect the best update to come from the up coming investor meeting they have to have. Yes, I do believe it's been delayed till next year and I'm fine with it so I can get to backlog games.
The issue is if they hold out to Fall 2025 or Spring of 2026 How is a System base on 2022 Tech going to look.
I wasn't expecting a direct until the e3 window one. If the switch 2 is coming in first half 2025 June is a perfectly acceptable time to talk about it. Especially if they aren't going to have much in the form of software between now and then. Announce the switch 2 people won't care about the lack of software until the next time they give more info on the switch 2 and its launch titles etc.
The only thing that would interest us about Nintendo is the Official Nintendo Trailer about the next gen Switch along with an official release date. Everything else about Nintendo is redundant. People are tired of rumors and speculation.
I wanna see in the next Direct is Front Mission 3 Remake.
Like how people expect so much form Nintendo while sony is like : "We have no games this year.."
I don’t see them announcing new console prior to January if it’s not coming until next year. They want to get one last good holiday sales from switch and if people know switch 2 is coming in march they won’t be buying current switch
Yeah agreed. Announcing switch 2 this year and releasing it next year is just shooting themselves it the foot.
idk I’m not saying metro prime 4 is or not coming the only source I’ve heard and read in the past was about Metro 2 and 3 but what do I know?
Zelda Wind Waker & Twillight Princess will never be offered as a bundle, because they have different age ratings. And Nintendo will not put 'Teen' on Wind Waker.
