Welcome to my channel, Bee Outdoors.
As an outdoorsman I’m keen on sharing my wild camping and bushcraft trips with you. Knowledge is my passion and believe it should be shared. I class myself as a outdoorsman and I’m keen to learn and advise on the subjects I’m experienced in. As a multi skilled crafter I enjoy making some of my own tools, and share the things I make with you.
I will also review and recommend gear based on my experience on the product. I love a challenge so if there something you would like to see me make please let me know and if i can do it I will make it.
The craft i do is random, i try and show that it is possible to make things with determination and the use of hand tools, i share my skills in the outdoor and try to share as much knowledge as i can.

outdoor cooking. Simple and tasty
outdoor cooking does not need to be hard. Simple and tasty food is easily accomplished. Using ingredients that compliment each other and offer a variety for the taste buds is the quickest way to keep the campers happy. Food over a fire always tastes better then when it’s cooked over gas or in an electric oven.
There are plenty of cheep yet tasty ways to cook over the campfire and incorporating responsible sourced foraged foods to the menu not only adds flavour but keeps the cost down.
There are plenty wild edibles you can use to cook up a good meal but using them along shop bought items can easily take your food to the next level. However be safe and do not pic foods you not sure about. We took the opportunity to harvest some wild garlic, though late in the season it still tasted amazing, other wild foods that can enhance the taste of your food is mushrooms and the pheasant back mushroom is a good one for stock or even soup.

Wooden spatula. How to?

Wooden spatula. How to carve and relax at camp? This is by far one of my favourite pastimes especially outdoors. Carving spoons, spatulas or tools that we need is so rewarding. I find that creating something yourself is far more rewarding then shop bought. You not only get to pass some time but you relax and reward yourself with new skills and learn a new craft. The art of witting goes back cen...
How I make char cloth?

How I make char cloth? It’s simple, ideally 100% cotton is what you should go for but I find denim to work well, I know it’s a mixture between cotton and some synthetic materials but I have found that it works well. A tin with a hole some denim and a fire along with a cutting tool and a little stick provided by nature is all that one needs to make some char cloth. The timing is probably the har...

Had a turn sport since July 1969 bought from a neighbour so it has only had two owners restored it a few years back and it is a great stove cost me 7s 6d in 1969. 37.5 pence in Decimal Money.
Is a Sevylor Tahiti any good? Probably. An early version made some historic voyages. A Frenchman took one down the Amazon river source to sea, twice. Audrey Sutherland paddled hers up the Alaskan coast over two summers doing 2000 miles and before that kayak camped around the Hawian islands. Yes it’s a good kayak.
Awesome video mate, actually looks quite cold😂. Hope you keeping well Alex.
This is exactly what I was doing in the same way but you worded it more eloquently (it's not that other brands are crap) except (there's other options) if you can't afford even a few extra dollars. sometimes a cheaper option will do just fine, because it's made good enough to do the job for a long time, either until you can afford a better, or just forever the big difference between the bottles though is the thickness of the stainless steel, the higher quality stainless steel using the Pathfinder bottle the stick burner that comes with it obviously and the carrying case, but the lid on the top works with the other wide mouth bottles on pathfinder systems, their canteen and everything in their sets. you're paying for a logo as well and you're paying to support, for more than just a cookware set. when I got my water like you are showing bottle it was in far worse shape than the Pathfinder ones come. To your door there was many sharp edges on the cheaper one, I had to cut the lid myself (no big deal) but there was a lot of imperfections dents and all sorts of stuff it the cheaper brand and that's just a fact the quality customer service if you have an issue is far better through Pathfinders than any Chinese company out there.
Thank you man, I appreciate your content!
Thank you for your comment, you made my day 👍💪
LUNCH! .. I think i've just been triggered

I would like to see how they fair in a fire, i know the path finder bottle and nesting cup can go in the fire.
This can also go in the fire and stands up very well
I’ll try this! Thank you!
hi great vid , where did you get the skeg and how was it fitted
Amazon and it fits easily it hooks on the back of the kayak
Did you attach the skeg? That helps stabilise the kayak.
Yes I did attach it and defiantly helps with stability
Solognac is a region in France known for hunting. Decathlon hunting range is called Solognac, the hiking range is Forclaz. None the less great kit for the price
Id probably set the tarp as a 'lean to' against the stone walling in the background.
I can recognize ur voice from anywhere ur the multi trade guy from tiktok

Io ho un riviera da sei anni l'avevo usato un paio di volte ma senza skeg era ingovernabile, poi non riuscivo a trovare lo skeg e l'ho fatto io, sono un falegname, adesso va che è una bellezza e molto più divertente 👍
Wonderful video mate, food looks great. Exceptionally well shot too. Look forward to seeing more like it in the near future. I really miss wild garlic.

Welcome back stranger, great to see you again. Looks like at least we have been seeing more of you then your hairdresser has 😂. Fantastic video Alex and great job on the spatula. Hopefully see more from you very soon. Best wishes mate. Ps my last hairdresser probably retired 30 years ago.
Thanks buddy, as the wife puts it, midlife crisis 😄
@@BeeOutdoors that's great, I have been having a mid life crisis since I was 13 then😂

Outstanding work
Thank you 💪
Great work, im with you there are something tranquil about carving. Nice chilled video Alex 👍👍👍
It’s been so long that I forgot how calming and relaxing this actually is 😁
@@BeeOutdoors I know what you mean.i recently carved some gypsy flowers, it completely chilled me. Prior to that it could have been during covid.
Just so little time to get outdoors but hoping for more weekends like this
Great carving job. Thanks for the video
Thank you 💪
It's OK but it's a gamble too. I bought 2 cups for me and my son at £8 each from the internet described as 95mm but they have a lip which is 95mm and the internal diameter is like 92 and too small, so I wasted £16. I bought 2 more fro a different seller and they were adamant the diameter was 95 but it wasn't, so £32 down the pan and relented to call the TBS yesterday who took the time to go through what I needed and 2 of their billy cans and burners are on their way. If I'd have just gone with them to begin with I'd have saved 30 quid, and that would have paid for one set from TBS. This is of course the gamble with cheaper online orders and non brands
That’s why I did this video, and TBS can go fly a kite in my opinion
@@BeeOutdoors yeah, I wish I saw it a few days ago lol. Thanks anyway, the video is very good. I think the same as far as TBS. Stuck between a rock and a hard place as they say. I hope others see this before they buy

great job there brother!! I'm in the Pacific Northwest so very similar forest to you!
Thank you bud 💪
Good video and information. I'd enjoy a bit more if you worked on the lighting and audio. Thanks for the info, I own 1 pair of Fjallraven but now I'm interested in these Solognac's.
Pleasure, my videos and content are a working progress and this one was one of my early videos but I defiantly agree that I need to improve
Nice finds
Thank you 💪
Funny thing is all of Pathfinders Cook wear is made in CHINA...So the high price is for the Pathfinder BRAND .... yeppers...97$ canadian for us , for only the cup & lid , and 32 oz bottle ..NO Bag, No Fishmouth opener. ....60 quid for you.
Thanks mate 👍
Pleasure 💪
Nice work with that tiny flint!
Does size really matter?
Yo yo yo ❤
Nice. I'm doing the same thing to my Sevylor Colorado this weekend.
You will not retreat it 💪
Excellent video, beautiful nature and your message from the video. Unfortunately, there are many irresponsible individuals who leave trash everywhere. You should come here to Bosnia to see the amount of garbage everywhere.
So many social media channels where you can learn about bushcraft but the best place to start a fire has to be Twitter 😅
🤣
Nice video.
Thank you
Love it. Going to try it. Great instructions
Great to see you again Alex, good advice mate.
Thank you buddy💪 hope you keeping well
Thankx
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Pleasure 💪
Thank you!!! I was making it much more difficult than it needed to be. Much appreciated!

Dave Canterbury has an older video where he states the pathfinder products are Alibaba items branded with their logo. The exact items can be purchased directly from China for substantially less.
