  • outdoor cooking does not need to be hard. Simple and tasty food is easily accomplished. Using ingredients that compliment each other and offer a variety for the taste buds is the quickest way to keep the campers happy. Food over a fire always tastes better then when it’s cooked over gas or in an electric oven.
There are plenty of cheep yet tasty ways to cook over the campfire and incorporating responsible sourced foraged foods to the menu not only adds flavour but keeps the cost down.
There are plenty wild edibles you can use to cook up a good meal but using them along shop bought items can easily take your food to the next level. However be safe and do not pic foods you not sure about. We took the opportunity to harvest some wild garlic, though late in the season it still tasted amazing, other wild foods that can enhance the taste of your food is mushrooms and the pheasant back mushroom is a good one for stock or even soup.
