If it were Joe he'd be like, "I'm supposed to eat this crap? Go back to your station, I'm not tasting this." Then go on rant about not wanting his time wasted and that the chefs "have to know what he's looking for in this point of the competition"

Let’s be real it’s OUR fault the judges are rude. We the audience are the ones who decided to watch and thus support shows like Hells kitchen and kitchen nightmares, so of course they think that’s what WE want, and that’s fair. Further proof? Joe, the poster child for mean judges, is NOTHING like that off camera, though he is tough in his own kitchens as any chef would be.

Talent doesn’t do anything if you don’t practice and creativity means nothing if you good technical skills, you can learn how to be creative/learn to fake it. you don’t need someone to teach you art but having credentials means you are skilled and learned from professionals.

Johnathan has taught us something. Sometimes in life it's not just about the end result. Sometimes, it's about the journey you took to get there. He had a good time, learned so so much and met so many talented people. In the end, even though he failed, he kept positive and walked away with a smile. Absolute LEGEND, mad respect.

I like how Eric always looks like he's about to cry when they go to try his dish.
Mad props to that first guy, he knew he was going home but he took it on the chin like a man.
He was a real trooper. As people that cook, we have all had something come out wrong at some time. I know I most certainly have had food not come out the way I wanted. I felt for him for sure. Poor guy, but he definitely kept smiling and didn’t let it get him down!
I love the Canadian judges, very kind, they give feedback, and they respect the contestants, not kicking them while they're down. Masterchef is so aggressive, and one of the judges just berates people to make them feel small.

The Australian ones are really great too. It's funny because Canada and Australia are very similar in terms of history and culture.

Jennifer is so nice. She genuinely gets upset when other contestants are struggling and genuinely smiles when they are complimented. She's also has a cool fun personality

Not too surprising since they both had similar origin stories; they both were engineers before finding out they're passionate about cooking.

Cos they're both great cooks (now chefs) and engineers. Not to mention they're Asians, so Chef Alvin understands the pressure that Eric is going through. Having a degree in engineering isn't good enough for Asian parents sometimes 🤣🤣🤣
This is why I love Master Chef Canada. They are more forgiving and are not... rude with you.

This is Why I love MasterChef Canada So much more than the U.S. version
Gordon Ramsay would never say something of that caliber of insult. Sure, he’s got tough things to say, but they’re useful critiques. What he has to say doesn’t attack the person as an individual, but rather tries to help explain to them what they should’ve done differently. Joe is just a plain ol’ douchebag about even the smallest of things and doesn’t even TRY to give constructive criticism.
