- A chat, a coffee and a few laughs with Paul smith Cris and Damian after Lavvu on the farm.
this was something I been waiting to happen for a long time. A sit down with Paul Smith, getting to know him and what makes him so passionate about the skills he practises.
We had a awesome weekend, spending time around the fire and doing skill share. I see a lot in Paul that reminds myself of a younger me. A determined person that is always keen to learn and does not give up easily. Always seeking out skills that he feels passionate about but on the other hand choosing a direction and sticking to it.
The weekend of Lavvu on the farm was good, for the first time such an event had been organised it went well. Unfortunately nothing is perfect, like everything things do go wrong but the people that took the time to come out made the event what it was. We were joined by Chris Lundregan and Damian Booth both very skilled people and both very passionate about what they do.
it was all in all a awesome chat filled with knowledge, advise and bushcraft techniques
But mostly the subject of mindset, mental attitude was one that all of us agreed to be the principal thing in any skill set.
A massive shout out to all three and the rest of the skill share people that not only attended but made the event what it was.
It would have been awesome to have Jack around the table too but unfortunately he had to ho early. Hopefully there will be more opportunity’s.
Events that embrace skill share and a sense of community will always attract like minded people and that is what I love about bushcraft.
Please check the guys out and if you looking to learn a particular skill I’m sure that between all four of these guys you will find it.

Chris is one of the nicest most thoroughly decent people I have ever met and incredibly professional.
Brilliant you guys x ❤️🙏
Some interesting stuff discussed here x enjoyed watching this x
If your the smartest person in the room you’re in the wrong room
Nice
Your method of rolling ash in cottonwood Chris, that I've learned from you. I've recently learned that saw dust works as well.
Well good conversation. A fair bit covered there. I agree with the group dynamic in survival - everyone's included in that. It's the medicine wheel isn't it? All the best. Mark
I'm so upset that I had to miss this years event, but hopefully I'll be there for the next one.
An event or a location does not make it special it’s the people that make it special, there will be other events, other locations and you will have other opportunity’s to make it . ATB Al
I've always said that bushcraft and survival skills should be taught in schools same as growing your own veg. Same as wild herbal loye.
You're right about Paul's journey...Nudging vertical😄
🤣
I don't know what the devil you are talking about Austin! 😉😅

@@paulsmithprimitivebushcraft Actually you're right, l'll take it all back😄
I said to Damian I'd be back for a second go at the cotton wool and two short planks technique but I ended up relaxing in bed instead 🤣 nice video lads some interesting stuff
Thanks pal, the weekend was a chilling space too, hope you enjoyed it 💪
@@BeeOutdoors Yes it was brilliant and I was glad to be a part of it! A heck of a lot of talent in that field
