  • What is the best coffee maker for camping stove, or even the best all round that works for both camping stoves and camp fire. Is there such a coffee press or do we have to result in taking two types with us. In this video I look at a few different ones including the popular Jet boil with the coffee press adaptor.
Some of the ones I use I found to be more of a gadget that we will most likely use a few times and end up shelving it. Another type is a versatile thermo coffee mug that one could use not only for camping but every day life wile drinking coffee on the go.
There are so many systems out there for making coffee on the go but I have eventually managed to find the best that works for me and I believe if you serious about coffee on the go and at camp you will like my choice as I considered simplicity, practicality and price as I think this is a big factor when choosing the right kit for the outdoors without making things too complicated. Filtered coffee is something I really enjoy and I take it just as serious as food at camp.
I explore the Jet boil, ZYLISS thermo mug, moka pot, bestargot camping titanium cup and the GSI mini expresso maker.
As I have no affiliation to any of the products I will leave it up to you to source the best place to buy the one you most favourite.
My choice for the best all round coffee making set for wild camping , Bushcraft camp has to be the titanium mug from Bestargot, however there are different brands out there that are very similar so it would be unfair to say this brand is the only one. Second but also first in a way must be Jet Boil as it’s versatile in its own way, it can be a cooking vessel and a coffee press do well worth having if you mostly use gas instead of a camp fire or a fire box, stick burner.
I think one should always look at kit that is sufficient enough to service your needs but that it can also accommodate a second person in case of company and both the one litre jet-boil and the bestargot can provide two decent cups of coffee for the less greedy.
The Moka pot is defiantly old school and a really good system if you willing to carry it with you but I find the shape and size wayward and heavy.
I found the GSI mini expresso maker to be more of a gimmick and totally not worth the money fir the use I intend.

Love my morning coffee...but not an expert...so I really just fall back on a good instant variety...easy to carry and easy to prepare. I sure do appreciate the many different varieties of preparation...some look pretty fancy and fun too!

I have alway had a taste for good strong ground coffee but I used instant for ages when out camping until I gave up milk. So instant was no longer an option for me and the quest for a good all round system began, in the last year and a half I tried loads of methods until I finally got the one that worked for me so I resided to share it with the world. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 💪

Heard some good things about the aeropress, I might invest in one for when I’m hiking. Thanks for the comment. Regards Alex

I agree man, cannot do instant cover, would rather leave it. And yes camping means nice coffee and nice food.... and nice beer. I find with that cup it's impossible to get an absolute seal, even pressing it very slowly I can't get it grindless. Never tried cowboy coffee yet....

Great video mate personally I hate the jet boil as it’s to bulky especially to all other items u have there sort from the coffee grinder ur dad gave u which is awesome

Yea I’m with you on that one, my preference has to be the titanium cum as I can use it for more than just making coffee and on the fire. Also gas and cold weather are not friends. Thanks for watching buddy and awesome that you left a comment 💪

I have tried drippers, filters, moka pots etc but the aeropress comes up trumps. It just makes the tastiest coffee and no mess, no grounds in the sink, you just push out the puck straight into your rubbish bag or bin.

I was tempted in getting one but sometimes I like boiling the water straight on the fire, I’m not sure if I want to carry two items for coffee making but funny enough a few people have mentioned it so I might think again. Thanks for the input I appreciate it 💪
