Does the polarizer trick work for video too?

At first I didn't understand why would Panasonic be Nr.5, but with Blackmagic and Red being there, that is fair... Canon makes sense if you consider the C line, but Nikon? Really guys?

It’s funny that video focused people think these cameras are “big and bulky,” but the A7IV is the perfect size if you shoot photos and have larger lenses and the A7CII is too small. Like, I’m not shooting photos with a 70-200 for hours at a time on the A7CII.

For matte boxes, carts, etc the conversation was about using them in general but with tripods Kofi started by dividing tripods into affordable versus expensive. Tripods are underrated regardless if you go with a value tripod or a top-of-the-line one. The magic of a camera being locked off is incredible for a huge variety of shots.

Resolve rocks. Properly rated i think. Works great for getting people into the work flow of editing and grading and sound mixing

Polarizer underrated

Simple luts underrated. Generally beyond overrated.

Resolve underrated. So many features

Monitor underrated. Bigger the better

Mattebox overrated

It’s very hard to get a great tripod

Tripods super underrated. Theres a reason some are 10k

filters in general overrated

Cart the most underrated

Canon c100 m1 & 2 - that built in mic was very very good.

The main thing that keeps people from Canon is the disregard they have for their patrons when looking at the way they compromise any camera below their flag ship cameras so as not to cannibalize their upper tier cameras. They show they have ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN for the utility needed by their lower-tier patrons or just release cameras that overheat and aren't fully invested with quality control. Canon is the Microsoft of the camera world and I despise them.

Revisit those shots with Davinci Resolve Deflicker effect. Works magic.

The worst red flag is when they don't talk to you consistently. That always means trouble.

4k and above is great when doing sports. The reason I say that is when you use a 1080 timeline you get to use the crop facter of extra reach with our losing resolution. I use 4k anytime I do football, baseball, and motorsports

Had one guy with a super complex, messy, unconformed timeline from Premiere to come to me for color in Resolve, and no budget, wanting it yesterday. I told him to “come back after you’ve conformed the timeline” silence…. That was my way of saying C ya.

Sometimes you have to roll the BUDGET BALL back to the potential client. Once they become consciously aware of cost/proposition value it's really easy to deal with them. "This is what it cost to do this job" How much do you think you should pay is often fallowed up with "I DON'T WANT TO INSULT YOU" that's the insult🤷🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️
