Every creator is talking about AI voices… as a voice artist, this is just like people saying that there’s no need for you filmmakers because you can just use AI for it. At what point do we stop allowing AI to take over our creative tasks? Technology was supposed to take over mundane tasks allowing us to be more creative.
It’s good for solo folks like myself that can’t afford voice artists yet and are working their way up. That’s about it in my opinion, and is the only type of use that I support. Outside of that, we need to be supporting real artists, real people, when we have the financial means of doing so
@@Eyeofkamau The same could be said about solo filmmakers… why should I hire you when I can get an AI to make me a video? I get it, it costs money. I’m right there with you. But hiring a real voice actor on something like Fiverr is still very affordable even for a solo filmmaker.
@@TheBroadcastEngineer you may have misinterpreted my statement. I’m agreeing with you and my support or “sticking up” for humans in clear in the ending of my previous statement. The only difference is that I support people with less resources using AI until they don’t need to. That goes for Sora AI and filmmaking as well. I support it, and people like you using it if you needed too; what I don’t support is corporations and financial capable filmmakers using it to maximize their income to expense ratio when they have the means of hiring actual artists/human beings. In other words, I’m *not* saying I support filmmakers using Voiceover AI, but don’t support people using video making AI. All clear? Lol
I work across 5 industries; film making, game development, art/animation, music, and writing. No offense, but I find it immensely entertaining that in each industry, I've heard someone complain about AI and it taking work from them. However, they will often then turn around and suggest OTHER AI tools that affect someone ELSE'S industry. It seems to me that people accept AI except for when it hurts them directly. Interesting.
