This is why Camera Conspiracies is the king of the cameras.

That dude is actually pretty stupid. Entertaining but his recommendations are terrible and biased. He's also very wrong with many of the tests and often gets worse results due to user error.

I'm happy for Gerald to expose this because it forces companies to reflect.

    You get early access.
That gets you views and likes.
    That is value.
If you give a negative review you will not receive free early access anymore. Everyone knows that.

Would you rather wonder what their arrangement is? I wish all of them would be straight forward with whatever that is. Gives you a baseline to digest their opinions.

Gerald Undone - reviews are only as good as the knowledge behind it. You already dropped shade on Lumix and the You Tubers that went to Japan. It's clear how you feel about Lumix. You still don't have the early access to the S9 and were not invited to Japan. Gerald you are clearly trying to spin that you don't make money off the newest Sony release when they don't pay you or let you keep the camera. News Flash: when you have access to camera gear before the public then you are getting YT views before other review channels. So, you just lied or not being truthful. You say the public doesn't understand how it works but we all know. Seems like you are going to keep digging in and throw shade and act like your reviews are not biased and are honest. Be careful because a lot of people don't agree with you.

I don't think he cares whether or not people agree with him. If you disagree with his reviews that's simply on you. If he really screwed up, prove it and make your own youtube video. There is too much tinfoilery for Gerald's motives. Why can't people just take it at face value? He has no reason to be negative about something he is passionate about unless there really is a problem. Do you honestly think it is okay to not be honest in a review because you or the brands that sent them won't like it?

@@LewyKablooe Gerald wasn't invited to the Japan event and he's bitter about it. He also has zero proof that anyone that went to the event was dishonest with their reviews. That's the two main points. He has no proof. CZcams content creators that went to this event said they were not pressured at all to give positive reviews or to not give negative reviews. I' responding to Gearlds comment and video he posted. He's the one with zero evidence to back up his video.

@@contentm3893 His intention is any brand at any time a review is done. I don't believe his goal is targeting specific people, but this broad idea. Lumix was probably the best example of this idea. If he's made a mistake, fine, but it would be out of an error. This would be one of his biggest screw ups and I don't think he would be that careless.
An argument I've seen that I can agree with is that companies are under no obligation anyway. That company just views it as a marketing opportunity, and if the brand thinks you won't generate sales, then it can give it to someone who will instead. This can support his viewpoint instead, though.
If companies have these tendencies, you shouldn't pay any mind to them, fearing what they will do to you in response. Hopefully, other reviewers will chime in. To say if it is true or not.

@@LewyKablooe He targeted Lumix, that Japan event and the CZcamsrs that went to it. How can you say he didn't? He has zero proof that those reviews were not honest and not influenced.

@@LewyKablooe What? Of course they will send creators to each press event to generate buzz, reach people and ti gain sales. Why would a company send someone who doesn't have an audience or has an attitude. Gerald is clown and becoming a shadow of himself.
He give a tech review of camera gear and does nothin in the real world and is one dimensional. He also already had and attitude toward Lumix and they contacted him and said he wasn't invited. If you can't see why he made the video about Lumix and that event then that's on you.
This discussion is about Gerald and what he did and why he did it. It's not about Lumix or You Tubers that were invited to the Japan event.
