Sony should go quiet and reconfigure their lineup:
    ZV - “creator” focused line
A7C - entry level, “prosumer”. Fold APSC line into A7C. Continue to make it compact and price accessible. “APSC mode” makes it the long rumoured “A7000”.
A7 - strong hybrid; combine A7S features into A7 line. The choice for creatives doing 50-50 video and stills.
A7R - combine A7CR and A7R into a new “rangefinder” style professional body that allows for a battery grip (becomes a square body comfortable for vertical and horizontal all day shoot). Make it look really good and different from the long existing FF and APSC cameras look. Still photography focused with strong but not top end video features (for photographers that still need to deliver good video without excessive overheating or rolling shutter). High resolution (80-100mp) A9 style stacked sensor (for silent shooting) and improved mechanical shutter flash sync from A1’s tech (for flash photography)
    A9 - Sports, action
A1 - High res global shutter at blazing fast fps, do it all flagship. More than just a A9++.
RX1 - compact camera with A9/A1 stacked sensor. Redesigned from previous gen to make it look more stylish and visually balanced. Basically kill the Q3 for anyone who isn’t a “Leica fanboy”. So it’s GR - X100/Nikon compact - RX.
    FX30
    FX3
    FX6
    FX9
    Burano
    Venice
“LF”/Medium format line - new lineup with medium format cameras and same sensor R&D going into cine LF line

If I want to buy an expensive piece of kit, I go to a local film focused camera store. I live in the Philippines so we are limited with how many places there are that have good info.

I generally get my news from a mix of CZcams, news articles that google will suggest to me on my phone, and from a few discords I'm in. That's usually fine just for finding out basic specs and features. When it comes to a trusted sources I generally trust Gerald Undone for the technical aspects of cameras, and then youtubers who do long term reviews of cameras after having used them for a least a few months for their client work.

I'm not mad, I'm not "everyone" and I don't shoot with the C brand. There's a lot out there you can use for shooting/recording images that could end up in the Met or National (Portrait) Gallery.
Better cameras, better lenses, are not going to improve those chances.

Im pretty shure the big thing is stacked DUAL GAIN OUTPUT sensor... like the C300 and C70.
DGO sensors like in the Arri is 6MP.. the one in C70 is around 9MP.. if they made a 30 MP sensor of that kind of sensor its a big deal. But surely that cant be true right?
About the R5C .. If they had made it a little thicker, added build in NDs and used the R3/1DX series batteries in it... damn..
But we dont need better photo cameras.. right now people could shoot an entry level in auto at the freaking Olympic and still have it easier than pros had it 10 years ago..
What we do need is a Full frame RF mount camera with build in NDs to use with the RF 24-105 f2.8 lens. (that is made for full frame video).
    - C500 mark 2 is full frame with ND but no RF mount
    - C70 is rf but the speedbooster makes it EF mount..
    - R5C is full frame and RF but have no ND build in...
We need a C500 mark 3 NOW! - Hell use the new 30 MP DGO sensor :P gonna be awesome.
Fuji is missing out to not make a medium format video camera with focus on video. They do make some of the best medium format lenses in the world.

If I had a Canon R5 right now I would sell it and buy myself a Lumix s5iix for sure, better image quality, better dynamic range, and last but not least a really nice price!!!, also I get that you guys don't use Lumix cameras but you talk about the camera industry and especially hybrid cameras I think you need to talk about Lumix cameras I think so far Lumix is the camera brand that have given more specs and quality for money and now with the new AF that is not like sony or canon but still really good better than fuji for sure, I remember a video from another youtuber named Tyler Stalman that said that basically when he try the Lumix S5iix he notice really fast the lack of image quality of the R5 compare to the S5iiX and this 2 cameras are in a totally different price range, I know the S5iix doesn't do 8k or 120fps and it has a crop at 4k60 but the canon cameras at the same price range not even compare with the s5iix, the only think it will be the lack of 4k60 ff in the lumix, please keep into consideration that this is just my opinion, Ia have use sony, then I start using lumix cameras, get into Canon and switch back to Lumix now with the S5iix.

It might get firmware updates later on to make it better, similar to the R6 R5 got CLOG3 and better thermal performance
    Maybe 4k 180fps
    Log4
    4k 60 fps RAW internal
These could trickle down to lesser camera down the line
    Just my take on it

  • @LuigiL75

The 1 series have always been a PHOTO FIRST body for true Pros...that being said, I truly believe that Canon really got caught with their pants down with Nikon dropping the Z9 like they did! I don't know if the R1 will match up with the Z9, the one thing we know that will be better is the auto focus (of course) SONY could be the God Emperor of Flagship bodies IF ONLY they would drop a body with the SIZE of a Flagship...YOU NEED A UNIBODY SONY...make it the the size and dimension of the R3 and DOMINATE. Bahhhhhhh...I'll just keep shooting with my 1DXMK3 😑

The Z8 is $600 dollars more (about 20% more) than the R5 and three years newer...it should have more features than the R5.
I can't see the R1 being a $7k+ camera. There is a reason the R3 is marked down to $4k right now...to make room for that $6k R1 price point.

@@jakilahmoulien9070I'm assuming not, the R5 is cheaper and at the end of its life cycle and and Z8 is at the beginning of its life cycle.

@@Derk2k3M1 the Z8 still has a lot of updates ahead too so it's not a bad investment. Maybe will have RED RAW in the future who knows

    • @Derk2k3M1
      @Derk2k3M1 Před 3 měsíci +1

@@jakilahmoulien9070 I wasn't saying it was a bad investment, particularly if you are already in the Nikon ecosystem. Just that for the price difference and feature difference, the R5 isn't laughably incomparable to the Z8.
Just like I assume, the R5II will be probably just $4-600 more than the Z8 and have more features. And that's the way it will be for 2.5-3 years.
