I'm sorry but all I hear nowadays is people comparing and talking about gear. Most of ya'll will listen to people on youtube, IG and tiktok about attaining all this gear but yet your footage still look like iPhone 7 footage. Learning about how to get the best image from what you currently have will serve you much better in the long run that acquiring more gear.

What's Good Justin. As a wedding photographer I started using LEDs to light the reception watching you and I love the results.
Sony lens caps are middle gray also, so you can take the cap off and set the white balance.
okay, so hot take, i don't have a red. i use a dinky lumix g9. and i have shot weddings as well with it, and i have never worried about my white balance. people make messing up white balance a big deal. maybe when i started out and i didn't know any better i used to worry. But now i never think about white balance and i have never messed it up (i'm going on 7 years of filming). People please know this, even if you don't know anything else, if you shoot whatever you do at 5600k, you will never mess it up. You don't have to have a red to not worry about white balance. You can sleep easy about your white balance with any camera. Just set it at 5600k and never think about it again, you will be fine for whatever you shoot (unless you ever wann get creative). the magic at 5600k even in mixed colored lighting is that every color is their actual color with that kelvin value.

This was great. I love Justin. I also love that we use our gear so differently cause I swear by my varipoles and my slider. I don't shoot weddings though. I'm in a small studio and they work great for the stuff I do.
I’m surprised no one mentioned the Gnarbox there was so much hype around them and their need was really over exaggerated.
dude the ultimate lens is the 35-150 .... maybe the rf is better quality, but i m doing weddings not films...and the focal length is unbelievable .... plus 35 at f2 damn
The slider is definitely one of my regrets. I spent good money on the entire setup and have only used it twice 🤦🏽♂️
Wow you've one upped me literally, I've had my slider for about 2 years and pulled it off the wall one time for a set of documentary interviews..lol
my clients love the slider on interviews, so i keep using it. and it wasn't nearly as expensive as the big names out there. it's the accsoon toprig60, and like the gvm, it had the bar in the middle for the panning motion. easy set up (less than 5 minutes), easy to set a & b points, and powered by npf battery that lasts all day.
for me, I bought an Ez-Rig and used once; I was given a gimbal and never used; I bought an ENG shoulder kit for the FS7, never used it. A rode boom mic +, used 2x. And so much unused software plugins my gosh
The 24-105 2.8 lives on my C70. Soon to be added to the C400 when it gets here.

@5:00 I keep the 50 1.2L on an old 5Dii with a 1/8 promist filter screwed on. For me, it’s the magic sauce for capturing candid shots at the evening get together in the garden.

8:49 Sony does make a crop sensor 18-105 f4. It's not too bad.
What are y’all shooting where a slider is a regret?? How are you getting dolly or trucking shots?
Gimbal is something you have to have, but you aren't always going to use. Luckily gimbals aren't *that* expensive

i told everybody to join micro 4/3rds when i was in high school. told them it would change the world in terms of compatibility.
Ifootage seastar quick release, the first left and rt tilta handle,raven eye,monfrotto gimbal, too much to list. Loving the float w lidar. Is the evo app good enough for white balance?i shoot raw but my my ninja gain was high so i stopped way down at highest native iso and footage was like shootin in the closet but outside🤮. Im New. Great show 🎉 Thank You

7:33 honestly it’s refreshing that you didn’t cuss. Too many of us in the industry have this problem and it’s just not necessary. It’s nice to be able to play things on speaker and not worry that there’s gonna be an unnecessary cuss word. But anyway, back to the show
Dude don’t act like Sony is the only one letting you set white balance with a card. Panasonic been doing that since 2014
Canon DID change how they capture white balance! On my R8 you just choose custom white balance, press the trash can button and shoot a grey card. Done.
