6:23 you should talk to Carlos Quintero. It’s not just the genlock. According to Carlos, they worked with every LED wall manufacturer in the world. Their auto clear scan mode is what solves the issues without needing a global shutter. As for rolling shutter in the field, it’s pretty fast.

I just saw someone's C400 footage on CZcams, I forget who, but they did a massive whip pan back/forth and I watched it 3x because I couldn't believe how good it was. Felt *really* close to global shutter.

I view the C400 as Canon’s first move to replace the entire Cine lineup with RF mount cameras. Also the C400 feels more like a C200 mark 2. Regardless of what it is intended to be, I like it.

Doesn’t Canon make an extension cable for the smart hotshoe which would allow you to rerig in a lot of different ways? Not that a stripped down camera would even need the shoe. And a monitor replacement will be interesting to watch. Blackmagic have shifted to a USB-C connection for their EVF (with control buttons) and now Canon has this, so it seems likely we will see USB-C based monitors with the ability to send control signals to the C400 and BM Cine and whoever else adopts the standard. And in the mean time it shouldn’t be a big deal to use a standard male-to-female USB-C extension cable to reposition the supplied monitor almost anywhere on a rig.

Brandon you do know that you guys start this false narrative about the C400 for no reason? While telling everyone that the Gh7 is awesome. Same narrative as every other You Tuber. Does everyone get paid or are kissing Lumix behind because they think they will get a sponsor deal? Don't worry Sony will be dropping new cameras this summer that will reset the market. Remember what makes a great camera.
