Causing Trouble with Matthew and a Wild Snow King Appears
Prior to the Friday stream, Matthew invites me to wreak a little havoc on a lobby. Eventually, Snow king joins in on the fun. I hope the banter between me and Matthew is entertaining as you watch us surely make an enemy or two.

Time for Part 3 of commentary. 40:50 *BOING!* Shy Guy stilt hop! 41:39 Another possible reenactment, similar to the second-to-last timestamp from Part 2. Only this time you're far enough back for your part of the reenactment, but this still isn't Koopa Cape and you still didn't ask for a Bullet Bill, making this one also incomplete. 42:54 Just because the Yoshi-themed courses from before the Booster Pass are better doesn't make this one cursed. Now that ? cloud might make this one cursed. 👀 45:24 Bowser would have hit at least one of those item boxes. Just putting that out there, since this was filmed before last night's tournament. 45:49 Yay for Yoshi Valley! ❤ 45:55 I wonder how Matthew feels about... MILK. 🤔 46:10 Just timestamping this for... let's just say "reasons". 👀 46:49 To be fair, nothing particularly matters until getting an item on the final lap anyway, which is similar to Dry Dry Desert, but unlike Dry Dry Desert, there's lots of fun to be had with Yoshi Valley all throughout the course (and the "alternate alternate route" is just the latest example of such fun), which is why Yoshi Valley is #1 and Dry Dry Desert is #91 on my ranking of the 96 courses. 47:02 It seems that some of my previous insight into Yoshi Valley (on a video or stream a while back) is inaccurate. There are actually 2 coins here, when I had incorrectly stated there were none on this path as my reasoning for saying this path was one of the 2 worst routes to take through the maze. I still stand by the claim that this is one of the 2 worst routes of the maze (if I didn't actually say it in the comment being referenced by this update/correction, I'm saying it here), but it's the better of the 2 worst routes because it has the coins that I overlooked when making the comment that had inaccurate information. The other route, the one that's even worse, is turn right first, then a hard left to still end up only getting 2 coins while taking a slower route when compared to this one. That said, I don't recall saying either of these routes is actually "bad". Depending on the traffic and item spam, either of these routes could prove to situationally be the best on a given lap. Even during a "final lap" That's a reason I already addressed throughout my comments over the years, primarily here and on Games with Alex, for why Yoshi Valley is the best course in the game. 47:35 To address something you say 3 seconds later, that shock also gave Funky Kong a massive advantage. 47:56 It's actually not as bad a sign as Matthew might think. The first item set is allegedly "broken", as first place only needs to be *on* the bridge for players at the item set to be able to get a ⭐ while first place having just finished crossing the bridge is enough for players in 9th place (in a 12-player room) at the item set to be able to get Lightning. 49:20 Voodoo. Wonderful, my magic. Pay attention to Funky Kong to see why I chose an Insane Clown Posse song lyric for commentary here. 49:36 The sounds of life! I know you have your differences with Funky Kong, but this and the "tranquilo" trick animation are why I just can't bring myself to dislike him. He's the only Kong in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe I can honestly say that about, and that's only because my favorite Kong of all, Cranky, isn't in the game. 50:03 Watah in the fiyah... *WHY?!?* Did you throw those fireballs specifically for me to offer tribute to Inugami Korone in my commentary? 👀 Less than 5 seconds later, we have cause for more singing. 🎼 Fire fire, light the fire. Brighter, higher, as you desire. Chasing all that we aspire. Spreading out like wildfire. 🎶 51:04 Nice top 3 again. 👏 51:49 Looks like a silly jellybean got hungry for a 🍌. 53:14 *M O R T I S* for Donkey. 💣👀💥🪦 After what Seth Rogen did to his voice, part of me wants to say "hasn't Donkey suffered enough?" but the other part of me is holding Nintendo responsible for that vocal disaster because, for all of his flaws (and there are *many* of those), Seth did say he was going to just use his regular voice for Donkey and Nintendo hired him for the voice role anyway. Which is one of the reasons why the entire English voice cast (aside from Chris Pratt and perhaps Anya Taylor Joy) has me refusing to watch the movie unless I can get the Japanese voices. Welp. Looks like that's the end of commentary. Enjoy.

Here's Part 2 of commentary. 18:20 Okay, Goomba. 18:31 and 18:47 See brainrot from the fifth timestamp in Part 1. 🗿 18:40 I take it that Matthew was unaware of the fact that you recorded this and it's now uploaded for my ears to hear. 19:43 and 22:52 Apparently Shigeru is a fan of the gyatt. 20:57 I'm guessing a wild Snow King appeared in between the previous race and this one. 22:30 Perhaps I need to introduce Matthew to an Indonesian blacksmith. 🤔 24:06 I'm normally against slander of London Loop, but Snow King and his countrymen (which includes Huey, of course, but I don't know what Huey's opinion of the course is) get a pass. 😆 24:51 *M O R T I S* , and an unexpected one at that. 💣💥🪦 I was caught by surprise a bit myself. I expected a slightly smaller blast radius that would have given you just enough space to avoid being timestamped here. 25:31 Looked like Snow King tried driving off to avoid the Spiny Shell, but the shell was patient enough to hit when Jugem dropped him back on the track. Truly, a worst-case scenario for both him and you, as if things had gone as he planned, neither of you would have been hit. Of course, that's based on the video footage here showing what actually happened from his perspective. Only Snow King himself knows for sure if that was what happened or not. 25:42 It's easy to say in hindsight, but the global cycle had you in line with that rising fire because you chose the rightmost path (leftmost on any other cc, but this is Mirror). I believe this is an alternate take on "fired fired, let's get fired". 27:17 I need to practice the left side of this section, but since it may only ever actually matter for me in a time trial and I'm not all that interested in messing with my current ghosts (either 150cc or 200cc), I find myself lacking the motivation to actually practice here. 27:26 Nearly a self *M O R T I S* moment. 💣👀 27:55 and 39:12 Matthew's not beating the Sam allegations, is he... See fourth timestamp from Part 1, then see these timestamps. 29:20 Never mind Peachette. What about Daisy? 34:48 The one thing I don't like about Sydney Sprint is how a quick glance at the starting line without taking in the full picture makes it look too much like The Atrocity. 35:16 Seeing as Snow King is in these races, the philosophy my older brother taught me doesn't apply to what Matthew's doing here. Now when we blame Matthew for all the Shy Guy incidents, that's putting the philosophy to full effect, as Matthew isn't actually around when being blamed. That philosophy? "Blame the person who isn't here." 😆 37:24 and 39:28 Please do not cancel Justin for the words spoken by Matthew. Justin is not responsible for anything that comes out of Matthew's mouth. 37:53 As I said in commentary for yesterday's tournament, I need to practice bagging here. As stated in that commentary, I have unfinished business with Nekomata Okayu as it relates to this course. But with my luck, I may end up opening a new chapter with Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, Gigi Murin, Cecilia Immergreen, and/or Raora Panthera before a rematch with Okayu happens. 😆 Which is fine if that ends up happening. ❤ 38:08 Foreshadowing. 38:16 Train hop! Timestamp is a second early because I want to get your full commentary for the train hop, and it's entirely possible that a syllable gets lost by making the timestamp a second later. 😆 39:18 Apparently Matthew isn't the only one who's not beating the Sam allegations. 👀 39:47 (almost mixed up the 9 and 7 on this timestamp, which would have been bad) If this had been Koopa Cape, if you had been asking for a Bullet Bill, and if you and Snow King were both further back from first place, this would have been a pure reenactment of the most infamous Bullet Bill I ever saw, with you playing the part of Hakos Baelz and Snow King playing the part of FUWAMOCO. 40:00 Nice top 3. 👏 Even more so with that Bullet Bill incident in the previous timestamp. *BAU BAU!* 🐾 As this is the end of another race, it's probably best to break off commentary here and hopefully wrap things up in Part 3. Which is the plan, but there may be a Part 4 if there's a lot left to say and not enough room in only 3 comments. 😆

  • @RemyWillard
    @RemyWillard Před 17 dny

Matthew's good at making friends and enemies. Depending on the topic, he's made both out of me at one time or another. 😆 Case in point, the chat during the livestream yesterday. I won't rehash the conversation, as that's one where he made an enemy out of me, resulting in my refusal to pick Shy Guy Falls when it showed up in the tournament. A little teaser for my full tournament commentary when you get around to those 3 lengthy messages (and a short fourth one, which you might not want to actually address, considering that was a horrible race for you). Anyway... on to commentary for *this* video. 0:08 As am I, Matthew. As am I. 0:39 I hear some happy Koopa Troopa sounds. Even though the meta change technically made Koopa Troopa more viable, I've found that I'm only using Huge Island in single-player mode these days. It may be for the best, since a large part of what makes my builds silly is how rarely I actually use any one particular build, and preserving the silly and the cute of my favorite build will only serve to make it all the more special when I decide to take it out for a friend room or tournament spin. 0:46 That "talent" is *the* biggest reason why I don't go into Worldwide or Regional races as well as why I get so frustrated when I find myself in friend rooms in most other Mario Kart communities. It's also what makes the Hololive Mario Kart sessions my favorites to join, as most of the players there are only interested in having fun, which fits in nicely with my driving style whereas the "talent" Matthew mentions is the bane of my driving style's existence. No community is "perfect", but our community here and the Hololive communities come pretty darn close. ❤ 0:53 I thought this was a collab with Matthew, not Sam. 👀 1:06 I heard "gyatt" from Matthew. As such, I must invoke... the brainrot. *LET'S GO!* 🎼 Stickin' out your gyatt for Nerizzler. You're so BAU BAU. You're so Biboo tax. I just wanna be your Shiori. 🎶 Disclaimer: I don't want to be a bookmark. 🖤🤍 2:38 *BONK!* 2:55 If only Holst Sigiswald Goneril had *these* mushrooms, maybe he would have been able to better contribute to an important meeting for the Leicester Alliance. Instead, he had some bad mushrooms, prompting his sister Hilda Valentine Goneril to say "leave it to my brother to eat some bad mushrooms right before an important meeting". 3:04 There's no Blooper, but I had one heck of a Bob-Omb during last night's tournament. Just ask Lexus and Tyler, as they were on the receiving end of that *M O R T I S* moment. 💥🪦🪦 As for Matthew, James Storm might have something to say about this sequence. " *SORRY!* About your damn luck." 4:03 Your question about bagging has the same energy as when Claude von Riegen said "Is it Claude time? I think it's Claude time". 😆 4:57 and 15:24 Fired fired, let's get fired. 5:42 Now singin' bling bang bang bling bang bang bling bang bang born. Bling bang bang bling bang bang bling bang bang born. Bling bang bang bling bang bang bling bang bang born. To the next. To the ichiban ue. Sorry. Ever since that song was released, that's where my mind goes upon seeing Tick-Tock Clock. Might have something to do with the arm motions for the dance resembling a fast-moving pendulum. 👀 It's also funny how FUWAMOCO singing Bling Bang Bang Born is among my recommendations while watching this video. *BAU BAU!* 💙🐾❤ 6:13 *CLANG!* 7:47 F I wonder if referring to Yoshi as "the demon Yoshi" earlier had anything to do with this. Perhaps the "favoritism" applies to whether the player has kind thoughts or ill will toward Yoshi. As someone who's been known to frequently use "Time Warden Yoshi" and may need to use Pink Yoshi (in "Sorry I'm So Cute In Pink") and White Yoshi (in a yet-to-be-named build, as I need to spend more time with Ninomae Ina'nis to come up with a proper name for the build in which this color Yoshi is being used) more as well, perhaps my kind thoughts toward Yoshi have had something to do with Justice being on my side last night. 😆 8:39 I'm also appalled. The only part of the old meta that hasn't stuck around for the current meta is the one part of the old meta that I actually liked seeing. 😠 11:05 It's kinda cute how the Waluigi player's name is "Dad". It does tie in to the idea of the Walu Biddy player not updating his game. 13:10 That was Donkey you chomped. That had to feel good once you realized what happened. 14:32 Maple Treeway! Yay for Wigglers! After Tour Guide commentary, I'm probably going to break off commentary into at least 2 parts, possibly even 3 if there's a lot to say after this race ends. 15:08 and 16:07 (in Tour Guide voice) If you look straight ahead, you can see two happy Wigglers in their natural habitat. 15:21 (back to normal voice) Hey now, Matthew. Commentary on Wiggler butt started in 2023, maybe even late 2022, depending on when we first saw Maple Treeway added to 8 Deluxe. 17:04 (in Tour Guide voice again) If you look straight ahead, you can see a happy Wiggler in its natural habitat, but if you look over to your right, you can see Wiggler butt. (back to normal voice) Okay. Matthew has a point about "Remy, 2024". 17:43 Oh look. Dad won. Now whenever I make a dad joke, which happens a lot, I can take comfort in knowing I also won this Maple Treeway race. 😆 As stated when Maple Treeway started, the end of the race is the end of Part 1 of commentary. As there are still about 40 minutes left of video, there will likely be 3 parts to commentary this time, but Part 2 might be the end or there might be a Part 4.

Oh! There will be a Part 4 after all, but feel free to skip it, since I doubt you want to relive this race. 1:59:03 If that was *my* Bob-Omb, I may end up getting rid of the Madrid Drive Bob-Omb replay and replacing it with this one. *M O R T I S* for what may have been 1/4, or maybe even 1/3, the room. 🪦 1:59:38 Welp... here's another *M O R T I S* moment. I sure hope that wasn't my Bob-Omb, but I can't shake the feeling that it was. Thus commentary has officially reached its conclusion, as there are no races left after this one.

  • @RemyWillard
    @RemyWillard Před 17 dny

Time for Part 3 of commentary, which I hope will be the final part, as there's only 25 minutes left in the VOD. 1:39:08 I'm playing as FFW. Sam's nowhere to be seen. Yoshi Valley and the Wiggler courses aren't available. Why *wouldn't* I pick Mount Wario under these conditions? 😆 Also, Shigeru has been picking my courses more often than he should be in this tournament. I wonder if this has anything to do with Justice being on my side. 👀🤔 1:40:31 I'm pretty sure the worst one is actually the cow suit. I never liked that one. As for Mega Man, that's in my *top* 3 Mii suits and is the only one of the 3 that I don't actually have for myself. The others are Captain Falcon and the Varia Suit, with Varia at #1, Captain Falcon at #2, and Mega Man at #3. If you've seen my Mute City and Big Blue 150cc time trials, you know I have the Captain Falcon suit. As for the Varia Suit, I might need to use it with my primary Mii sometime, but since I have so many other Miis (54 in total after adding the one with my 150cc Sunshine Airport PB), I prefer not using my primary one when I'm using a Mii to actually race. 1:41:03 That was my Lightning. Based on where everybody is, I may have been a bit early, but at least nobody ahead of me was able to use a speed item to take the cut. 1:41:19 I end up having more than a few George of the Jungle moments in this segment. When FFW actually gets here, that is. 1:43:06 Alternate alternate route time for wind! Let's *BEEP* ing go! Also, yay for Yoshi Valley! ❤ And it came from a Random, which means it couldn't have possibly come from me. 😆 -Unless it landed on me the times I misclicked on Random a few months back, once because I didn't get my build set in time to actually pick a course and again the very next race because the cursor wasn't where I expected it to be when I was trying to pick Madrid Drive as quickly as possible.- 1:43:38 You see FFW going right. This gives me the option of going my usual "first lap coins" route, which would get me 3 coins if I hit all of them and make my way through the maze faster, or the "bagging" route, which would get me 4 coins if I hit all of them and an extra item box that isn't available on any other route of the maze. By watching the minimap, you can see which route I take. 1:43:59 I was aware enough of your Ankle-Biter to stay wide this lap. My preferred line is the coin line if the coins are available or a tight line if the coins are already taken. Lexus took 2 of the coins, so I probably would have gone tight if it was safe to do so. 1:44:10 I can't tell if I have Father Boo or not, which means I don't know if I was the thief or if it was somebody else. 1:44:29 If only Snow King had waited another second, maybe 2 more seconds, I could have been on the bridge with my ⭐ active. Yes that Lightning was his. I already confirmed by watching the video replay on my Switch. 1:45:34 It's difficult to tell from the minimap, but NEON was going to take the double item set and I couldn't afford to slow down for it to regenerate, so I had to settle for a single item. Shigeru decided to bless me with a Bullet Bill. And I didn't even have to ask for one like Hakos Baelz did at Koopa Cape. Good thing, too, since if I had asked for one, Lexus probably would have FUWAMOCO'd me into last place with a Bullet. A few seconds later, you see somebody use Lightning, and I'm almost frame-perfect with the Bullet dodge. Yet another example of Justice being on my side on the day this was streamed. 1:45:52 Now you know how wind felt when I was Bugenhagen last year. At least I was *INNONCENT* ("typo" intentional, as it's a Shiori Novella inside joke) this time. You saw me with a single 🍄 of my own right beside you. As for your use of Fire Flower, I guess our bump messed up your aim, and that's how you ended up not incinerating me and ruining my race on my favorite course. In all honesty, I'm not sure if there was a bump on my screen while the race was live, nor did I see any fire heading my way. I only saw the fire on the left side of the final straightaway, so remembering that and seeing you were the one throwing the fire, I thought you were either aiming for that part of the straightaway or intentionally avoiding me with the fire, but watching this footage debunks both of those possibilities. Whatever the case, I now have this race and my win at Animal Crossing as 2 new starred races, one replacing Rosalina's Ice World from the last time I raced during one of your streams and the other replacing the 4-player Yoshi Valley race (because this one had a larger player size and filled out the 12 racer spots with COMs while that one was just 4 players and no COMs). 1:46:48 I picked Tokyo Blur because somebody needed to, and I think wind got shuffled out of the room. After learning how you feel about Vancouver Velocity (by reading the chat near the end of the stream), this could be yet another case of Justice being on my side, as I likely would have been among those who picked Vancouver if I was confident somebody else was going to pick Tokyo. The Streetle, and perhaps the Retro Off-Road tires as well, aren't suited for the Anti-Gravity track of Mute City. 1:48:25 Are you a magnet for when I throw a 🍌 forward? I think I was trying to get a midair snipe on Lexus for taking the double items, but there's no denying that you end up driving into the 🍌 on the track after landing, and there's no denying that 🍌 was the one I threw here. 1:48:46 Somebody was backing fire from beyond the bridge, and it's a minor miracle that FFW didn't need the Lethal Company parody. However, a few seconds later, that very parody certainly applies to you. Fired fired, let's get fired. 1:49:24 Why does your Bullet decide to expire here, right as you're about to make contact with Morton the Moron? 👀 1:50:59 I still need to get better at bagging here. Especially if I end up getting into another room with Nekomata Okayu when she decides to practice for the 2025 New Year Cup. I have some... unfinished business... with her in regard to this course, seeing as I'm 0-1 against her, this is the location of that race, and she's the only one among my Hololive cameos where I have 0 wins in a head-to-head comparison with the talents themselves. Of course, Okayu *is* part of the "Gamers" generation of the JP branch, so her finishing ahead of me back in January isn't too surprising in that context. 1:53:18 At this point, I said "at least tell me I finished ahead of Quick", because I knew I was getting a bad finish. Sure enough, I did. Barely. But that's yet another example of Justice being on my side on the day this was streamed. 1:53:37 I think this is the third time Hyrule Circuit showed up during the tournament options. Maybe it was only the second time. In any case, I picked something I liked better the other time, but when I saw the other options were Mario Kart Stadium and Rock Rock Mountain, I couldn't help but say "fine, I'll pick Hyrule Circuit this time". Strangely enough, Mario Kart Stadium works out for me quite well this time. If I had the room for the additional starred race, it would have been the third new one added as a result of this stream. But I couldn't bring myself to delete the replay of my 200cc Singapore Speedway race where I led from start to finish or the Madrid Drive Bob-Omb that got Stickman and Jacob, and I certainly can't get rid of my Merry Mountain or Peach Gardens replays, as the Merry Mountain replay was the one referred to near the beginning of Part 2 while the Peach Gardens replay was me using Maximum Gyatt to defeat the Ravencroft sisters (Nerissa and Aradia) and the Jailbirds in our lobby to be my first win in a race in which a Hololive talent had participated (which is different than having a win against the talent herself, as it's possible to beat the talent without also winning the race if somebody else in the room takes first place). 1:56:26 Lexus probably isn't happy with you for that Spiny Shell. That's why he didn't win here. I had a front row seat to the Spiny Shell hitting him, but far enough back to avoid being caught in the blast myself, then needing to miraculously avoid a Super Horn from wind to barely cross the finish line ahead of him. As I said in the previous timestamp, this would have been added to my starred races if I had the room to do so, but I already had to make room for Animal Crossing and Yoshi Valley and there was no way I could make room for another special race after adding those two. One race left, and it's a Vancouver repick. With how lengthy commentary has gotten here, I'm not going to say anything about the race unless I see something from your perspective that I completely missed while it was live. Whether this concludes commentary or if the Vancouver repick gets its own entry as Part 4 will depend on what I see in your video footage.

Here's Part 2 of commentary on the VOD. 1:23:52 It's also pretty easy for my build, too. If I recall correctly, the water slides provide a boost to Underwater Speed while the rest of the course benefits your max Anti-Gravity Speed. I could be mistaken about the water slides, but I struggled on Dolphin Shoals when that was supposed to benefit max Underwater Speed. Maybe Big Blue would have worked out for me despite the Streetle not being all that great on anti-gravity. 1:24:31 I have a much more fond memory of this course on New Year's Day than we're about to see here, but my finish here isn't really all that bad compared to the ones I had in the earlier races. 1:26:02 Why am I thinking of a NSFW meme? Is it because Baby Peach and the lone girl in said meme are both blonde? 👀 Hey. Sam didn't show up tonight, so somebody's gotta make the dirty jokes. At least I'm more subtle about them than he is. 😆 1:26:48 ggfortyt is the guilty party. And I was hoping it would have been FFW, since Quick is the one who got hit. 1:27:20 I was 6th, Quick was 7th, and ggfortyt was 11th. In the grand scheme of things, this is better "revenge" than what I had been hoping for in the previous timestamp. 😆 1:28:25 Darn you, Justin. Even getting Toad's Turnpike from a Random would have been better than this. Even if I'm just splitting hairs by saying this, I'm still right. 1:29:14 🎼 Fire fire, light the fire. Brighter, higher, as you desire. Chasing all that we aspire. Spreading out like wildfire. 🎶 Yeah. That Fire Flower was mine. Had it not been, I'd have gone with the Lethal Company parody commentary instead of actually singing Rebellion. 1:30:16 That red shell may have also been mine, but I'm less sure of that. The circumstantial evidence seems to point in my direction, as I'm the first player to pass you after the hit. 1:31:43 *OHH...* 🍌 1:32:04 I think you can figure out why I picked Rosalina's Ice World. My last race there was a full clinic on how *not* to play the course, and I still managed to get second place. 🤣 1:32:30 I asked for winter once I saw it land here. Justice was on my side, as not only did we get winter, I ended up winning the race. Oh, and that's a pun that ties into the opening of Part 1 of commentary. 😎 1:33:29 See 5 timestamps ago for the follow-up lyrics. 😉 1:33:35 If you look on the minimap, you can see Lexus spinning. That was because I was jettisoning my triple reds to get to my triple 🍄. In hindsight, that may not have been the smartest play on my part, but I don't often get to take the cut, and even less often without Resetti interfering, so I wanted to take the opportunity while I knew I could. While Royal Raceway may or may not have been more intentional, as I don't know for sure what was going through my mind during that ⭐, this one is 100% a case of Lexus being in the wrong place at the wrong time. 1:33:51 As that Spiny Shell was going for Quick, it turns out that James Storm has some words for Stickman. *SORRY!* About your damn luck. 1:34:14 From this point forward, the lead was mine and I didn't give it up, though Stickman would come close to stealing victory right at the finish line by using double reds when I only had one item for protection after the final items of the race. 1:34:56 Looks like a "bad 🍄 saved you from Stickman's second red shell. If you had been my meat shield, there would have been less drama for my victory, but I think it's better this way. I still won. Stickman still finished second. If you were my meat shield, you probably would not have finished third. I think this win mellowed me out a bit, as I was malding for much of the tournament up to this point (see end of Royal Raceway and the middle of the first lap of Jank Jank Summit, among other incidents that point to said malding). 1:35:27 I thought about picking Bangkok Rush here solely because Sam wasn't around, but I decided to go with "LA but actually good" instead. I wouldn't have minded Yoshi Circuit, but I probably would have had a bad finish there. Not that I was confident in having a good finish on any of these, but I was more sure of a bad finish at Yoshi Circuit than I was at the other options, which is why I never considered picking it this time. 1:37:20 I had a similar issue on this exact spot on the final lap, which is one of the reasons why Stickman would go on to finish ahead of me here. The other reason is pretty obvious. He's a much better player than I am. 1:38:07 While you're preoccupied with Lexus allegedly going out of his way to hit you with the ⭐ (based on his line, I'm pretty sure he wasn't going out of his way, which is why I added "allegedly" on commentary), a Wiggler COM decides to hit you with a squishality. 1:38:44 You can see me struggling to stay on the side before falling off. Had I not fallen, there's a chance (albeit not a very good one) that I would have been able to pass Stickman at the end. 1:38:53 Apparently I passed Tyler right at the finish line, as I was expecting to finish 6th but ended up with 5th. This bit of happenstance will be where Part 2 ends. Got a Part 3 coming, so stay tuned for that.

Sorry for the late VOD commentary. Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame and Gigi Murin demanded my attention, and I wasn't going to deny them when I'm actually aware of debuts this time around. 😆 Since you thanked me for introducing you to Koseki Bijou and FUWAMOCO (I recently learned they want the name in all caps to show that they are together, hence the full capitalization and not how I had previously been typing their name), I think you're going to love Gigi every bit as much. She's kind of a gremlin. Wait. "Kind of"? That might be an understatement. 🤣 Anyway... on to the commentary. 1:02:19 Starting off with a Random that sends us to my fourth-favorite course. Yay for the adorable sleepyhead Wiggler! ❤ If only it was also my fourth-best course... 💔 1:02:44 FFW's burnout was intentional, as this is a known Bagger. At least the plan started out going well. 1:03:13 There's the sleepyhead! Over to the right! ❤ 1:03:40 That 🍌 was not intended specifically for you. It was meant for *somebody* taking a tight Goomba line. I think it did get somebody a few seconds after this timestamp, but I don't know for sure and can't check my recent races because this was the first of the 16-race tournament and only the 12 most recent races are stored. 1:03:52 Don't ask about FFW's driving or item use. I couldn't tell you what was going on in my brain. All I know for sure is this is a "bad 🍄". 1:04:32 Wiggler hop! Also, good morning, happy Wiggler. Did you sleep well? 1:05:46 To the Mall, boys! 🥥 1:06:10 Well this is unfortunate. Now I've got *another* reason why I doubt my newest Mii should be used in any of these tournaments. Even though 2009's Modern Warfare 2 inspired the Mii and the "second rule of Sunshine Airport", the Mii actually looks like the one German it shouldn't. At least tonight's tournament theme meant I had to go with FFW (or Dry Bowser or Funky Kong, as they share stats), as the Mii would be Medium in size and thus not be eligible for maximizing any stat. Of course, if I had decided to use Captain Bikke in the Landship, the aesthetics would have been different but it would still be a "max Underwater Speed" build because Bikke is a Mii of Heavy size. But if I was going to use a Mii at all, I had hoped for it to be the newest one before coming to the realization that it looked like a certain someone. You'll notice I haven't dropped any names about this actual Mii, neither who he actually is nor the German to whom he apparently bears a strong resemblance. Well... the German is pretty obvious, but if you get around to responding to these timestamps, I might reply to your reply to name drop the new Mii. Who already has my PB at Sunshine Airport, by the way. 👀 1:06:20 FFW is max Underwater Speed. Streetle, Retro Off-Road tires, and Flower Glider are the other parts. 1:06:27 Inkling Girl is not max Traction. She adds 3 to the stat while the max a driver adds is 5. Since Koopa Troopa is one of those drivers who adds 5 to Traction, I know max Traction... but I did have to look up Inkling Girl's stat to see if she matched or not. She didn't. 1:08:51 I picked Dolphin Shoals for kind of the same reason, but also the opposite reason. In other words, I did have Matthew in mind, but that's why I decided to not pick Shy Guy Falls. In hindsight, maybe Thwomp Ruins would have been better for me, considering how the Dolphin Shoals race actually went, and as Shigeru would end up picking my selection, it would have been Thwomp Ruins if I had picked that instead. 1:10:22 Oh geez... This conversation might explain why I felt targeted in a later timestamp. 👀 1:12:01 There's more to Dolphin Shoals than just "Underwater Speed good". That's all I have to say about that. 1:15:17 I have no idea who threw that. I just know it wasn't me because I was trying to burn through my Ankle-Biter from the final turn to the end of the race. I'm just glad I wasn't caught in that *M O R T I S* moment. 1:16:44 18 points through 4 races. To call this a "slow start" would be a bit of an understatement. This is actually worse than most Alex tournaments as far as the start goes. 1:18:41 And of course it's Quick throwing the shell, too. 1:20:18 If a bottom-10 course is "good", that must mean this is a fantastic game. 1:20:34 My issue is with the shortcut at the beginning of the final "lap". Those short posts don't yield to a ⭐, making that cut without a doubt the worst one to take in the entire game. If they did yield to a ⭐, it would have been one of the *best* cuts in the game and the course would be much better than it actually is as a result, as it's in the "tough-but-fair" category for 🍄 use. Because they don't yield to a ⭐, that makes the cut "unfair, in a bad way" when it comes to ⭐ cuts. 1:20:45 Another case where I should have picked Thwomp Ruins, but at least this time around Shigeru didn't punish me for my course selection. Remember what I said 7 timestamps ago? The final timestamp for this race is the one that was alluded to there. 1:21:34 Well... the doubles were just sitting there. And so were you. Meanwhile, I was driving at a natural pace (after probably getting destroyed by items during the first few turns, as I'm not sure how else I would be that far back this early in the race). 1:21:42 Stickman, the better question is... "if the roles were reversed, would *you* ⭐ *me* here?" Regardless of how Stickman would answer that question, I'm pretty sure I ended up not actually starring him here. Even if I did, it's the first lap and this is a Drafter/Bagger, so getting hit early would allow for power items to make the comeback on the various cuts. 1:22:25 I'm not sure if I was trying to hit Lexus or just going for coins. If I was trying to hit Lexus, it's because of all the times people have taken the time to go out of their way to hit me with a ⭐ (the first and perhaps most egregious was at SNES Rainbow Road during a 2021 Alex tournament, and it's happened far too many times for me to count in between then and today). If I was going for coins, Lexus was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Either way, I wasn't targeting Lexus because he's Lexus. Now if that had been NEON or Quick, on the other hand... Maybe there was some targeting going on with them tonight, but I'm not sure if there was with NEON at all (if there was, I didn't quite get everything out of my system from the time I only played 3 races, the second was at The Atrocity, and the third would have been a repick of The Atrocity if Shigeru had landed on him while he was AFK getting water) and my targeting of Quick didn't start until after this race ended. 1:23:28 If you look at the minimap, Quick backspammed red shells, and one of them took 5th away from FFW, dropping him to 9th. It might be "Mario Kart Etiquette", according to Alex, but there shouldn't be any place for backspam in a tournament that's meant to be just for fun like this one was. I'm not calling Quick a dirty player, but that was without a doubt a dirty play. Factor in the tournament I was having up to this point, and you can see why the targeting would start after this. Commentary's getting pretty long, so this might be a good place to make a break. Part 2 will be posted in a bit.

I said I was going to give some VOD commentary despite watching live, so here I am. 52:26 I've been waiting for this one for a long time, and I expected it to be the result of Father Boo taking away your Fire Flower, but this works too. Father Boo *has* to be Pero, as when he gave you the Fire Flower here, he had some choice words from Fuwawa Abyssgard for the player who originally had it. "Fire is banned. Bau bau." 1:00:57 If I had felt up for playing this time, my Koopaling of choice would have probably been Larry, and I probably would have put him in the Blue Falcon with the Hylian Kite glider. Tires would have been either Blue Standard or Azure Roller. Tires wouldn't affect the name of the build. It's "I'm Blue" either way, and it stays within the tournament rules because Larry has blue hair. If not Larry, then I don't know who I would have used or what build to make to stay within tournament rules, which is why I probably would have gone with Larry. Morton? I'd have to go Circuit Special with GLA tires and Super Glider, but I wouldn't have very good Handling with Morton in Circuit Special. Wendy? No pink tires, so there's a color violation no matter which ones I would use. Iggy? Not a fan of the color green, and I'm also not sure if the Flower Glider would be a color violation despite fitting with Iggy so much better than the Paper Glider. Roy? Same issue as Wendy. Lemmy? I could go Inkstriker or Splat Buggy with Cushion tires and either the Parachute or Parafoil glider. Ludwig? The Larry build works, but if I'm using Ludwig, I want The Duke for my vehicle body (because of John Wayne's Fifth Symphony), and that would be a color violation. 1:01:43 Fun fact. I saw a clip yesterday (before my bad 24-hour stretch started) of IRyS being introduced to the Modern Warfare 2 mission responsible for the "second rule of Sunshine Airport". Also, Merry Mountain's on the board, and that's where I made my first-ever Hololive Mario Kart cameo. On New Year's Day. With Hakos Baelz hosting. That race is also one of my 6 starred races, with the others as follows: a 4-player Yoshi Valley race featuring you and Jacob (and I don't recall off the top of my head who the 4th player was), a Peach Gardens race where I got to race against Nerissa Ravencroft and her sister Aradia (which was also my first and only victory in my Hololive cameos), the Madrid Bob-Omb that got Jacob and Stickman at the end of the first lap, last week's Rosalina's Ice World race, and using "Time Warden Yoshi" at Singapore Speedway for my most fun 200cc race ever. Needless to say, it's going to take something special in the future to get me to remove any of those stars, and there's no chance of me removing the star from Merry Mountain or Peach Gardens. 1:05:24 Why, oh why couldn't we get the "alternate alternate path" instead of Kalimari Desert? Getting Kalimari here creates a repeat situation later in the tournament, and since I'm not playing, there's no chance I mess with wind's race result at Yoshi Valley, so I have one question for Shigeru. What was the upside for going with Kalimari instead of Yoshi Valley here? 1:23:56 Most months, Dragon Driftway would be the only bad selection. This month, PPC is the only good selection. Obviously, Random is exempt from these designations because that's not actually a course. 1:24:35 Why am I hearing Oozora Subaru in the background? 1:40:33 This, as well as the next 2 timestamps (if all goes according to plan) are why I had the Tour Guide on standby. (in Tour Guide voice) If you look straight ahead, you can see two happy Wigglers in their natural habitat. (back to normal voice) Watch out for Wiggler feet, Justin! 1:41:29 (in Tour Guide voice) Once again, you can see two happy Wigglers in their natural habitat if you look straight ahead, but if you wait too long, they'll be behind us because of a Bullet Bill. 1:42:18 (still in Tour Guide voice) If you look straight ahead, you can see a happy Wiggler in its natural habitat, but if you look over to your left, you can see Wiggler butt. If you wait too long this time, your vision will be obstructed by Blooper ink. Sorry about this interruption to our Wiggler tour. 1:44:56 Awww... Mira al adorable dormilón Wiggler. ❤ 1:45:47 (technically seen 2 seconds sooner, but this timestamp works better because we can act like the upcoming Spanish phrase is being spoken *to* the Wiggler) Buenos días, feliz Wiggler. ¿Dormiste bien? That will do for VOD commentary this time. Enjoy. 😄

I doubt I have it in me to provide commentary on every race in which I was featured, but there should be a few highlights I can pluck out here or there. 1:05:42 Behold, the king of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd has arrived. 1:07:24 There's a *M O R T I S* in front of us, and Dimitri barely avoided getting caught in the blast by making a *wide* left drift. 1:07:31 Sounds like Sam, Stickman, and wind are getting a kick out of the king of Faerghus crashing the party. That's one of the reasons I love bringing Miis to these things. 😆 1:09:05 Trying to re-enact Toad Circuit, I see. 👀 1:10:10 I don't know if Ookami Mio knows who Stickman is, but the next time I catch one of her streams (which may be a while because she's battling some health issues when I last heard about her, so hopefully she makes a full recovery as soon as possible 🙏), I may take some time to let her know that he has praised her choice of Birdo color. 1:13:43 Looks like I'm the only one who wasn't afraid of Slide. Considering how you made me think of Toad Circuit the way Vancouver was coming to a close, it's only fair that I gloat about having a faster time there. Unless you've updated your time trial to beat the one I got with the build I borrowed from Ninomae Ina'nis. Which, if you have, I'd love to see it, so upload it if you've beaten my time and haven't already uploaded the ghost. 1:15:33 *M O R T I S* 🪦 Also, the big jumble on the map makes it difficult to tell if this was the lap on which Dimitri failed the cut. It may have been,, or it may have been the final lap. 1:16:33 And just like that, the Toad Circuit receipt has been delivered. Accidentally, too, if I may say so. I was just trying to take the turn like "normal" instead of getting fancy with the cut, and you happened to be trying for the cut at this exact moment. This likely means I failed on the previous lap, as the previous timestamp was unsure if I failed there or on the final lap. 1:16:51 I may need to ask Stickman what happened here, as this race is probably no longer on my 12 most recent. Not even if the Rosalina's Ice World race later that I ended up starring got removed from that list of 12 because it became one of my 6 starred. 1:17:47 Finishing ahead of Ren and Stickman is something I don't do very often, but as this was a "mid" finish for all 3 of us, it wasn't deserving of the star that I ended up giving to RIW. 1:21:58 I think we're all treating this like a FFA, which when combined with my lack of microphone (and thus being unable to coordinate with wind) led to me picking Merry Mountain to try to take advantage of my good Traction instead of picking either of the cities that would benefit wind for using inward. This isn't the first time a brain fart led to me failing to take wind into account for a course selection. Of course, we get Tokyo Blur anyway, so what I picked didn't matter. 😆 1:24:17 What... the *BEEP* ...happened? 👀 Also, your Fire Flower to try to hit wind at the finish line is why I chose to glide high instead of trying to drop down. I may have been able to steal 4th from Lexus with perfect gliding, but I may have also been stuck in 5th no matter what I did. Also also, I have no idea how I managed to beat both Ren and Stickman for the second time in this tournament, but I'll gladly take it because they're both great players. Also also also, this was basically the same as DK Mountain in that this being a "mid" finish for the 3 of us preventing me from giving it the star that eventually went to RIW. 1:25:41 Well... when something comes out of Sam's mouth, it's only natural to assume the most sus phrasing imaginable. 1:26:16 If you watch the mini map, you can see Dimitri is taking some time to briefly admire the Wiggler. And collect a coin or two with more deliberate turning, as opposed to the speedy drift turn that most players would perform. 1:27:22 That Lightning killed my plan to take the usual cut, but at least it caught me before I committed to it. Maybe at the last possible second at which I could adjust, but I'll take the ability to adjust over being caught in the sand any day. 1:28:15 Here's my other brain fart regarding course selection. I got so excited to see Yoshi Valley that I forgot wind was still in the room. I probably would have picked Cove if I had taken his presence into account, considering the history of me always seeming to unintentionally screw him over at the end of the race whenever we're at Yoshi Valley together. But considering he picked it as well, as did you, maybe this brain fart erred in favor of all of us. Or it would have if Shigeru picked my selection. Or any of the Yoshi Valley selections. But alas, it was not to be, and we ended up getting 3DS Rainbow Road. 1:29:26 I threw my 🍌 forward, and I can't help but think that's what you hit 3 seconds later. 👀 1:31:36 You and Ren both. I wonder if that's why he left (so he could finish the tournament with the funny number), or if something came up on his end. Also, this is as far as I got on commentary before the late stream I was hoping to catch went live. But I still haven't gotten to the RIW race, so I've got that stream live while I'm continuing with commentary. 1:32:58 There were about 4 or 5 players I could say trailed Dimitri here, and I'm not sure if any of my claims would be correct without reviewing the replay on my Switch, but whoever it was, that player made a mistake, as you'll see when the race results come in. 1:33:52 That was an accidental shock, because I was trying to use the final burst from the Gold 🍄 that was in front of it. 1:34:25 I took the anti-gravity boost cut pretty well, but as I was about to land, I saw a Bullet Bill indicator behind me. Not wanting to have a "Hakos Baelz at Koopa Cape" incident of my own (with the Bullet Bill user being FuwaMoco if I had been hit), I popped my own Bill as soon as I landed from the cut. I wonder if that's some kind of extension spot, since my Bill lasted pretty long when you consider the circumstances in which I popped it. 🤔 1:35:37 People still don't know who the king of Faerghus is? This must've been how you felt when you snuck George into one of Alex's tournaments before somebody spilled the beans and turned George into a cult hero. 🤣 1:36:19 Given *this* selection, it's pretty obvious why I would pick RIW and why players whose builds aren't so heavily focused on Traction would opt for Random instead. 1:38:16 A preview of how Dimitri failed on this very cut on this very lap? 👀 1:38:25 I could ask you and Messi10 that question myself, and it would still be 100% accurate to ask. 1:38:50 Well... that explains why I couldn't chain my ⭐ at the double item set. You probably rushed that because of my ⭐ too, didn't you? 1:39:11 Now I know for sure that this is a Bullet extension. I may not know *why* it's an extension, but I know it is one. At the time I used my Bullet, I didn't know it was an extension, but given how long it lasted, an extension is the only plausible explanation. 1:40:00 If you still have this race as one of your most recent races, make sure to watch the replay from my perspective. I promise that you will be entertained. Considering it took me about 35 minutes to type up commentary for the final 9 minutes after the timestamp where I said I was going to watch another livestream, it's best for me to end commentary here. Even if later races have points worthy of my commentary, nothing was going to beat that Rosalina's Ice World race from my perspective. 🤣

And I didn't realize you indeed joined the tournament until after I looked at the rankings when I was done. lol 1:05:42 If I'm not mistaken I'm sure you name-dropped this character at some point during the stream but my memory is foggy. 1:07:24 Watch out for them bombs, man lol 1:07:31 I don't know this Dimitri guy either, and as I pointed out earlier, it being you didn't even cross my mind. 1:09:05 Daisy just flat out missed. 1:10:10: Team orange? Orange is best, because that creates a team of Yoshi, Birdo, & of course, Daisy. lol 1:13:43 You can keep your bragging rights - for now. lol Honestly, I should've picked it. I keep forgetting Inkstriker is decent on the track because of the anti-grav section. 1:15:33 Whoever dropped that bomb - that was a fricken' brillian spot. There was NO avoiding that one. 1:16:51 Your guess is as good as mine. 1:17:47 And that's probably because the DK Mountain endings are extremely chaotic. I don't know about Ren but I've witnessed things going quite poorly for Stickman at times on this track. 1:21:58 I gave up on it too, although I was more aggressive against some players than others. That aside we end up taking a boring race and make it absolutely wild 1:24:17 ABSOLUTE CHAOS. That's what happened. And again, anything can happen in this game lol 1:25:41 Yep... It wouldn't be Sam otherwise lol 1:26:16 Look at that Wiggler! lol 1:27:22 Getting caught in the off-road by a shock is the worst 1:28:15 But we wanted the alternate, alternate route lol 1:29:26 Gee, thanks, Remy. lol 1:31:36 Nah, he had to go. Still is funny he ended on 69 though lol 1:32:58 I wonder who that was. It certainly wasn't me because I wasn't trailing at all LOL 1:33:52 And you definitely dodged someone with it... lol 1:34:25 Maybe. I don't know what the extension spots are on Wiibow though. I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least 1. 1:35:37 Nope. And the biggest difference is that George is an OC - so no one knew who he was until I gave him his role in Miitopia by pure chance. LOL Nice 3rd, btw 1:36:19 Statistically speaking, RIW is one of my worst tracks of the entire DLC. There is always some sort of disaster that befalls me on it. 1:38:16 See? I do things like this on RIW, and its part of the reason why I suck at it. 1:38:25 Me? Simple. Bagging after my prior fail. lol 1:38:50 Not specifically. Pretty sure I was after Quick but I don't remember what my goal really was. The only thing I know I was doing for sure was watching the mini-map like a hawk so I didn't dodge anyone. 1:39:11 Hey, works for you right? 1:40:00 ggs Sorry I didn't get to this sooner. I've been battling depression since Tuesday (worst birthday ever) and I'm having difficulty shaking it off. That aside, there's another tournament tonight (depending on when you read this) that perhaps will grab your attention?

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd was one of those two, but I described him as "the King of Faerghus" at that point. The other, Mococo Abyssgard, was described as the Fuzzy full-grown puppy at the same time. Then there's the Riverside Park race immediately following a race at The Atrocity (which made me go AFK for a few minutes because of my "no atrocities" policy when watching races). During Riverside, I left a few messages explaining why I even bothered making a Mii of Dimitri. The first of these messages shows up in chat at 38:38 in the replay, and the third of these messages (which is also the final one before I shift gears and celebrate Jerry Land, I mean Snow Land, being picked penguin-blue-waving-tear) does indeed name-drop Dimitri. 1:07:31 You must've been so focused on your performances during the tournament that you completely forgot what was said in chat before the tournament started. 1:09:05 That's why I said "trying to recreate" instead of "recreating" in the original commentary. 😆 1:10:10 Orange is a great color, but for... let's just say "reasons unrelated to Mario Kart"... CZcams hasn't agreed for about a decade. As far as Birdo colors in general go, I'm happy with orange, red, and light blue. Orange was already covered in the original comment, red is what I used when I had Indigestion "conquer" Mushroom Gorge, and light blue is what I used to get my Hyrule Circuit time under 2 minutes. All of these have connection to Hololive talents, and as you already know about orange (from the original comment) and red (from how I came up with the name Indigestion for the build), that only leaves light blue, which is the Birdo color used by Nekomata Okayu. It's amazing how Mario Kart can transcend language barriers, as each of the Holo talents involved with these Birdos is in the JP branch and I understand very little Japanese. Certainly nowhere near enough to be able to hold even a simple Japanese conversation, let alone being fluent in the language... though I have always wanted to learn the language from an early age. Unfortunately, I never found a teacher for the language for one reason or another, so I'm just picking up bits and pieces whenever and however I can. 1:13:43 If you decide to tackle Piranha Plant Slide time trials again in the future, I'll happily watch your new ghost if it ends up being faster than my current time. Until then, I'll just as happily accept my bragging rights. 👍 1:15:33 With the way you took the cut, yeah that one was unavoidable. The way I've been seeing Adam take the cut in his competitive videos, he's further to the right, so he *might* have been able to avoid it with a wide right drift. I can't help but notice you skipped the next timestamp. I guess you didn't want to relive getting hit by Dimitri, protected by a ⭐ (probably granted to him by the Central Church of Seiros, as the Central Church and the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus have a strong relationship together). Whatever the reason, there are no worries. I sometimes skip timestamps when replying to replies myself, usually when I have nothing more to add (which may have been the case for you skipping the timestamp I'm teasing you about here). 1:21:58 Whatever led to the "classic vs. modern" tournament devolving into a FFA, the upcoming Tokyo Blur race (and the tournament as a whole, for that matter) was a howl of a time. My description would have been more fitting if I had gone with Mococo (or her twin sister Fuwawa) instead of Dimitri for my driver, but just because I didn't use either of the Abyssgard twins during the tournament doesn't mean I can't use one of their expressions to describe how much fun the tournament turned out to be. *BAU BAU!* 🐶🐶🐾❤ 1:24:17 If I had been using Captain Bikke instead of Dimitri (the thought of Bikke never crossed my mind for this tournament, but as both he and Dimitri are "Heavy" Miis, my build for Bikke would have been better than my build for Dimitri... but my build for Dimitri got me praised as being a "Chad" in Vancouver so the suboptimal build had proven worthwhile from the start 😆), I would have known that *CHAOS!* was responsible for this ending all along. Chaos, savvy? 🏴‍☠ 1:25:41 That's Sam's reputation on full display, which is why I said in the live chat before the tournament started that I could never pick Bangkok Rush during the tournament if Sam was playing. 🤣 1:26:16 You get to see the adorable sleepyhead yourself 6 seconds later, and right in front of him are the coins I was talking about in the original commentary, but I don't know if I was able to get all 3 of them, which is why I said "a coin or two" in that commentary. 1:27:22 True, which is why I was so glad Dimitri got hit with the shock *before* committing to the cut. As CZcams is telling me "We weren't able to add your reply. Please try again.", I need to break my reply up into (at least) 2 additional messages in hopes it solves the issue.

@@justinnewman4207 Breaking up my reply into 2 parts appears to have worked. Here's the rest of what I was trying to say. 1:28:15 The "alternate alternate route" is one reason why I didn't feel bad about my brain fart of a selection this time, and it's *the* reason why (after the fact) I'm back to feeling comfortable picking Yoshi Valley with wind in the lobby. Which is always nice because it *is* my favorite of the 96 courses in the game, being the only one I like better than the 3 Wiggler courses. 1:29:26 Whoops? I suppose that, if the ⭐ incident at DK Mountain didn't happen, this 🍌 would have been when and how I saw us being "even" after the Toad Circuit incident in December. It seems like we're both really good at hitting one another by accident. 😆 1:32:58 All I know is, as long as it wasn't you or Stickman (and you've already said it wasn't you, and I'm pretty sure Stickman was already too far ahead to be the culprit), whoever it was ended up finishing worse than Dimitri (and if not for a handling brain fart at the very end of the race, Dimitri might have been able to finish ahead of Stickman too, but considering Stickman's a better player than I am, it's still entirely possible that he'd have finished ahead of Dimitri even if I took the final turn the way I would have if I didn't have a brain fart there). 1:33:52 I think I dodged 3 people with it. I know for sure I dodged Messi10, but he was so far behind that dodging him made no difference, and I dodged whoever used Father Boo to take your item, as Father Boo took effect *before* the Lightning. I may have also dodged Stickman, albeit unconventionally, as the Spiny Shell was coming for him, and regardless of the order in which the items hit, they were close enough together where he dodged one because of the hit from the other. Regardless of who was dodged and how, this was a race you won, and since you weren't among those who dodged, this accidental use of Lightning ended up working out to Dimitri's advantage. 1:34:25 Given the course layout, I wouldn't be surprised if the glider and anti-gravity halfpipe are the reasons how I found this extension (if it is one, which it probably is), again through accidental means. I guess Dimitri's good at finding things accidentally. 😆 1:35:37 But people figured out you were George midway through that Alex tournament. Meanwhile, nobody had any idea that Dimitri was me until the tournament had ended. I doubt I can get away with doing the same thing with a different Mii in another tournament, but I do have a few other Miis available (including another one from the same Fire Emblem games that saw Dimitri, but I'd probably spill the beans on that one in a similar manner as I did with Dimitri for this tournament because it's too much fun to use an early-game line from this other character) if I'm in an "incognito" mood. Thank ye for the congrats on the 3rd. I'll still be wondering "what if" about that final turn, as I said a few timestamps ago that I thought I had a chance at claiming 2nd if I took the final turn better, but 3rd with this group is still an impressive feat for someone of my skill level. 👍 1:36:19 I keep finding a use for the Traction stat, which is one of the reasons why I'm less afraid of a course like Rosalina's Ice World than competitive players are, even though their skill level usually compensates for my Traction advantage to the point where they beat me. Maybe it's because Huge Island got maximum Traction from driver (Koopa Troopa, a.k.a. Koopa the Quick because of how the build got its name) and glider (Cloud Glider) as well as strong Traction from the Wild Wiggler. The Wood tires are among the worst tires for Traction, but when added to the rest of Huge Island, they do a nice job of making the build more balanced while also fitting the theme (the Leaf tires also fit the theme, but make the build more focused on Mini Turbos). Additionally, the build I've taken to calling "Time Warden Yoshi" also uses the Cloud Glider while the Streetle is even better on Traction than the Wild Wiggler (6 for Streetle, 5 for Wild Wiggler), and while Koopa Troopa has better Traction than Yoshi (5 for Koopa Troopa, 3 for Yoshi), the Azure Roller tires are average on Traction while the Wood tires are bad on the stat and the Leaf tires are slightly worse on the stat than the Azure Roller tires are (4 for Azure Rollers, 1 for Wood, 3 for Leaf). Interestingly enough, doing the math with the Leaf variant of Huge Island (which is the less common version because of what the Leaf tires add to the build when compared to what the Wood tires add to it) has both Huge Island and Time Warden Yoshi equal on Traction. So I'm no stranger to good Traction, but it wasn't until sometime *this* year (because of how I would actually be using some builds with average, subpar, or even actually bad Traction) that I noticed the effect Traction has on the builds as a whole. Some courses require good Traction, so it's nice to have that kind of experience. 1:38:16 That's not something you can blame on the course. That was just a bad 🍄. That kind of error is easy enough to iron out so it doesn't happen very often going forward. Of course, using time trials to practice won't help because there's no way to practice getting hit after the boost ramp in a time trial, but the general idea that my eyes are telling me is, if you're not able to get a drift going before you attempt the cut, don't bother drifting for the rest of the lap. 1:38:50 As Dimitri showed at Wiibow, making sure "nobody" dodged isn't necessary, especially when the player(s) who dodge are already in the back. But whatever the case, your shock didn't hurt Dimitri much (if at all, considering there's a double item set shortly after this section, which I mentioned in the original commentary). 1:39:11 Looking back, that's probably an extension because of the dangerous turn (where Roy tries to drop a 🍌 to hit you a few seconds later), and the Bullet ending at any point in the middle of the turn just creates nightmares for players using the Bullet. 1:40:00 Once again, thank ye. Like I said, if you watch the replay of this race from my perspective (which you probably won't be able to anymore if you haven't already done so because I wouldn't be surprised if you got at least 12 races after this one by now), you'll surely be entertained. If you look at what I said during the following Coconut Mall race, you'll see exactly why I took the time to make this one of my 6 starred races, which is also why I'm so confident you'll be entertained if you can watch this one from my perspective. Awww... I didn't have a great birthday this year either, but strangely enough, most of the rest of the year was pretty good to me. Looking forward to tonight's tournament, and hopefully that one will help you feel better.

I just finished with commentary on Adam's latest video when I noticed this upload, so it's only fair that I provide commentary here as well. 2:23 The power of MILK is with you. Yes I'm taking partial credit for this outcome. After all, you wouldn't have known about "Mushroom Is Love Korone" without me, and not only did a 🍄 get you the win here (well... it was technically 4 mushrooms, but you get the point), this was the course on which Korone said the phrase in quotation marks (she also used the build on Moo Moo Meadows, but there wasn't anything anywhere near as interesting on that course in the compilation video that showed her using the build), which is why I used her build on this course in my time trial the other day (and I know you already saw it, which just serves as *yet another reason* for me to take partial credit for this win). 😆 2:34 Oh wow. The player you stole the win from at the end was actually named "Milk". Too many pieces are too perfectly aligned for this to be a coincidence. 🤣 2:41 Welp... looks like I'm skipping a race. 5:11 I'm back, and I see this is Gorge. Good thing you've gone with the Inkstriker instead of the Comet or Yoshi Bike. 6:51 Did NEON say he was struggling on gap because he only has 3 coins? If so, I'm surprised my ears picked up on it. If not, well... my ears suck as usual. 7:25 What is up, guys? Today we're in Rome. 😎 8:37 Hi wind. 8:42 *M O R T I S* 🪦 12:08 All we need now is Toad's Turnpike, and the 3 worst courses in the game will all be featured in this video. Of course, I didn't watch the race at the other course in that bottom 3 due to my "no atrocities" rule. When the Booster Pass was announced, I didn't imagine we'd have anything other than The Atrocity being worse than Baby Park, but competitive players take this course way too seriously (to the point of sucking the fun out of the course, especially since the one part that's actually fun to drive on is the part the "double cut" skips). Meanwhile, Shroom Ridge took away what made Toad's Turnpike unique, and that uniqueness was the only thing keeping it afloat as a decent course. Of course, if Shroom Ridge didn't, Berlin Byways and/or Moonview Highway would have, and while Moonview is the most fun of these courses, even it doesn't measure up to Mushroom City (not to be confused with Bridge, as both City and Bridge are featured in Double Dash). 13:49 I see fireballs being thrown and a Yoshi recovering from being hit, but since the video quality is stuck at 360p (when I'm most comfortable watching at 480p but occasionally crank it up to 720p if I need to see something more clearly than 480 shows), I can't tell if you hit the Yoshi or not. As such, no singing for this timestamp. 💔 I *did* get to sing during the timestamps on Adam's latest upload, though, so I got my singing quota in for the day. 😆 14:39 FFW. 👀 "Frickin' Fat Wario", in case the timestamp didn't make the acronym clear. 14:59 Will we have a "move, you stupid !" moment this race? 15:41 Missed opportunity to say you've got 2 stars and 3 shrooms. 😆 17:15 Fun fact about Super Bell Subway. This ended up being the first course (besides Yoshi Valley, which was long before the Booster Pass was a thing and I ended up not beating the staff ghost at that time anyway, and the Tour city courses) that I ran a 200cc time trial. 17:45 That blue Yoshi (which either Stickman or wind, probably Stickman, said was "purple Yoshi" several seconds later) on Teddy Buggy was more annoying than any Waluigi Wiggler player I ever saw. 19:03 Subway hop! 20:28 Did you end up accidentally hitting the annoying Yoshi from 2 timestamps ago? If so, well played, Nintendo lag. 👏 Also, better to red "somebody" than to red NEON. At least while he's a teammate, anyway. 23:10 *M O R T I S* 🪦 Normally a Bob-Omb is the catalyst for this type of commentary, and one was responsible for me doing so earlier in the video, but this was even more deserving of a *"M O R T I S"* than most Bob-Ombs. 27:54 If 2 timestamps ago was Nintendo lag doing something right for a change, here's a case of it back to its usual shenanigans. 28:25 Thanks, Wave 5. /s Well... at least this particular skip made the shell target somebody else, so that much is a good thing... but I refuse to say these skips in general are a good thing. 30:00 That ending, tho. 🤣 Enjoy the commentary. 😄

2:23 Remy indirectly helped me win. GUIDE ME, REMY LOL 2:34 Coincidence, indeed. lol 2:41 Dumpster Laps appeared, and it was actually picked to screw me over because I won Royal Raceway 5:11 Been pushing my luck with inward a bit too much lately. I got back on the Inkstriker for a change of pace. Considering how this event ended up playing out, that was probably the best choice. 6:51 Pretty sure I've hit the gap cut with a low coin count before. Is it tougher? Certainly. But if your alignment is good, you should make it. 7:25 Now I associate this track with a bad memory - failing to defeat Awoken Sunday because of Father Boo. I'll never look at this track the same again. 8:37 He likes to pop in voice calls like that. His commentary was also welcome (I was streaming the event live on Discord so he saw everything from here on in real time.) 8:42 Daisy got exploded... 12:08 I've been time trialing this forsaken track, and while it definitely shows, I still hate this track. It'll probably never change even if the time comes when I become elite Summit player. The way you HAVE to play this track in order to even have a chance to do well, let alone win, zaps the fun right out of it. 13:49 The fireballs didn't connect thanks to I-frames. They would have otherwise. Processing is now 100% complete to you can view this stamp at your preferred setting and see for yourself. 14:39 I had to hold back with this one. You have no idea how badly I wanted to drop the F-bomb. I was so irritated with what transpired, and all it took was that one bump. 14:59 Probably for someone else. lol 15:41 Blasted shock lol 17:15 On 200? It can be a giant pain on 200 because its even harder to avoid the trains 17:45 He was definitely annoying. It seemed if misfortune was going to happen, this player was always around and most likely caused it. 19:03 BOING. 20:28 I did hit someone accidently. As Shortcat pointed out with his latest upload, when you throw a shell, it actually spawns behind you. Given the online play of this game is infamously bad, anyone behind you that is too close is going to get blasted by that thrown shell. Stickman accidently hit me with a red later on Shroom Ridge. A perfect example of such a situation. 23:10 FFW flies by with his triple shrooms and gives me an unintended boost, which is what caused me to get caught up in that disaster 27:54 The exact spot I referenced earlier. Thanks, Nintendo. And who knows where I was on Stickman's POV at the time this happened. 28:25 Red shells suck. 30:00 It was definitely a worst case scenario ending. I think I did everything except hitting a car. lol

I actually got the notification for this reply last night, but it caught me in the middle of an Advent off-collab on FuwaMoco's channel and then I needed to sleep almost immediately afterward, so that's why my reply to your reply to my original commentary was delayed as long as it ended up being. 2:23 If you're asking *me* to guide you, you might be in every bit as much disarray as Koseki Bijou was when creating the lyrics to "Bury the Cringe". After all, one of the lyrics is "Shiori's fixing me". 🗿✂😆 Sure, things worked out for this Royal Raceway race, but only because Korone guided me beforehand. 🤣 2:41 Add "anti-1" to the litany of -grudges I have against Dumpster Laps- reasons why I have taken to calling this course "The Atrocity". If the best courses (such as Yoshi Valley) have elements of frontrunning and bagging while having beautiful scenery and a fair end-of-lap/race shortcut, the worst courses (such as The Atrocity) are lacking in *all* of these areas. Maybe The Atrocity is a bagger in a world after Wave 6 because of how bagging changed in between Wave 5 and Wave 6, and that end-of-race shortcut may qualify as "fair" for players who have a single 🍄, but even if I'm being generous and giving the course positive marks for these specific elements (which would be a bit *too* generous for the end-of-race cut when you factor in how even a second 🍄 makes the referenced cut almost Dry Dry Desert levels of unfair while a set of triples puts that cut in that Dry Dry Desert cut tier, so a Gold, or even simply a ⭐, makes the cut *even worse* because of how narrow the passage is), these two positive marks would not even come close to climbing the mountain of negatives. Not even if we add wind's Bob-Omb clip in one of his montage videos to the positive side of the scale (but that was a fun Bob-Omb to see, so not even The Atrocity is all bad). 5:11 While inward may have been better for The Atrocity (unless I'm missing something, inward is always better for the Tour city courses), most of the races seen here were anti-inward, and Gorge is one of the most egregious examples because of how inward can't Super Bounce. Of course, with my limited ability to actually pull off a Super Bounce on outward, I don't really have much of an advantage over inward players here, and unless items are kind to me while simultaneously screwing you over, I certainly don't have enough of an advantage to beat you if you're on inward. 6:51 Maybe NEON keeps trying for the version of the cut that Indigestion got on all 3 laps of my time trial. That version definitely requires a high coin count as well as an insane setup that I would never be able to perform during a live race (and I can't even practice in single-player without setting the items to Mushrooms Only or arranging for custom items to a configuration that allows first place to get a 🍄 [my favorite such configuration is Triple Mushroom and Crazy Eight only, which allows a player in the back to be able to hold more mushrooms (up to 11, 3 in a Triple and 8 in a Crazy Eight) than coins (up to 10, no matter what item settings), but I didn't actually play on Gorge when I had this setup]. Maybe I should revisit the idea and make sure to actually play on Gorge this time. 🤔 7:25 I saw that race with Awoken live. I often claim that Father Boo is mischievous, not actually evil, but it's difficult to maintain that claim with this particular 🍄 theft. The last time I remember Father Boo doing something on this level was when Bugenhagen employed his services to take wind's triple mushrooms at the end of a Yoshi Valley race. Of course, in the Bugenhagen example, I wasn't trying to steal from wind specifically. That was just an unfortunate result, but it was partly responsible for shaking me up enough to where I stopped picking Yoshi Valley with him in the room despite it being my favorite course in the game (the other incident that shook me up to this degree was a Kefka Palazzo red shell hitting him when I was just trying to get rid of it to get to my triple mushrooms at the end of the race, and if memory serves, he cut in front of Kefka right after the shell was thrown so it targeted him instead of another player). Fortunately, I can still pick my 3 Wiggler courses (Maple Treeway, DS Mario Circuit, and Madrid Drive) with him in the room without a second thought, and I know he loves Madrid. 13:49 Yep. The Japanese player hit the European (I want to say that's Norway's flag, but that might not be correct... but I do know that flag belong to some country in Europe) player with a Boomerang before you tried going "fire fire, light the fire". The default was still 360p, but I was now able to set it to 720p (because 480p wasn't available, and there's no guarantee that 480p would have given me a clear enough picture anyway) and see for myself what happened. 15:41 The shock was nearly 20 seconds after this timestamp. This was in direct response to NEON saying "I have 6 shrooms in 8th" 2 seconds sooner. Maybe I should have set the timestamp to 39 instead of 41, but if I had, you wouldn't have received your items at the beginning of the timestamp, hence my conundrum. 👀 17:15 Avoiding the trains was indeed difficult, particularly on the final lap, but one thing that helped me get satisfactory times (plural for reasons yet to be revealed) was how I had my Fluffy Euphoria build and my Fuzzy Euphoria build competing against each other until one of them set a time that I couldn't beat with the other build. This competition isn't unique to Super Bell Subway by any stretch of the imagination, but that's the course where my 200cc time trial journey truly started, and I now have a time on every course that beat the Nintendo staff ghost's time. 19:03 Why am I thinking of Ninomae Ina'nis now? 👀😆 Probably because, during a recent outfit reveal (less than 2 months ago, if memory serves), she said "boing boing, skirt" in such an innocent and hilarious way. 20:28 Looks like a later timestamp had me one step ahead of you. 🤣 23:10 FFW... I don't know why some players still use him in competitive play after the Wave 4 meta change, and especially after the Wave 6 bagging change. While I'm thinking of the meta, I do wish the Flame Rider, Standard Bike, W 25 Silver Arrow, and Wild Wiggler had gotten a boost to Ground Speed. This change would have created an interesting dynamic between this class and the class that features the Inkstriker, Mach 8, and Sports Coupe, with the latter class having better Speed on terrain that isn't Ground while the former class would have more favorable secondary stats without returning to the days of Wiggler hate by most players if Mini Turbo were to receive the boost instead (after how I now hate the Teddy Buggy when I didn't hate it before the meta change in Wave 4, I'm very mindful of not wanting other players to hate my beloved Wild Wiggler, and I strongly believe that the Wiggler hate prior to Wave 4 was because players are always going to hate the meta for one reason or another). 27:54 Here's that later timestamp that was a step ahead of you about 2 timestamps ago. 😎 28:25 You've had a lot of bad experiences with red shells over the past 3 years or so (perhaps even longer, but I wouldn't know because this upcoming September will more or less be the 3-year mark of when we met in the GwA community). Meanwhile, my bad experiences with items are more the result of *green* shells (such as the one you threw at the end of Toad Circuit) and people going out of their way to be terrorists with the ⭐ (phrasing intentional because of a positive memory I have of Satori where he introduced the term "terrorist" for the ⭐ use I have in mind, but that example was me taking a tighter line where he wouldn't have been in my way if I kept a wider line, which is pretty much the opposite of what I mean by "people going out of their way", as tighter lines lead to faster times). I no longer remember who did so during an Alex tournament, but I do remember a SNES Rainbow Road race where I took the outside line, yielding the inside to the player with the ⭐ behind me, and that player goes wide for the sole purpose of hitting me anyway. There's also the "slow-⭐ incident" at Yoshi's Island where one of your former Snowfall teammates admitted to doing so to my Mii of Fuwawa Abyssgard "for fun". 30:00 I was more drawing attention to what Stickman said at this exact timestamp. "Wait, so we're done, right?" Also, keep in mind that there's only a second left in the video at this point. I know. I'm a goofball. 😆

With this being your 1st anniversary stream, I had to watch it until the very end. Funny stream though. But I personally never thought this game would simp *THIS MUCH* for Rosalina (she is still one of my favorites characters, I don’t hate her. I just found it funny how the game gives her special treatments like giving her a golden pipe on turn 1…)! Seeing how much it simped for her, it’s a good thing nobody picked Waluigi. The game would have probably *HATED* on him and completely ruin his life! Anyways, seeing you play Luigi’s Mansion 3 can be a good idea as a stream (playing solo or on multiplayer). Idk if you have that game though. Anyhow, see you in your next stream Justin! Also, you should probably have your VC exorcised by a priest, Jesus or God (or even all 3 of them)… Just to avoid cursed VC stuffs like what happened at the beginning of the stream.

Congrats on the full year of streaming. 🥳 Near the end of the final Mario Party game, I decided to multitask and try some Paris Promenade time trials. Right as the stream was ending, I finally got under 2 minutes there. Get Funky Some Help has a time of 1:59.432 now. In the words of the Indonesian blacksmith who first introduced me to the build, *"MY PARIS!"* I may need to "get some help" (Kaela Kovalskia's catch phrase, and yes Kaela is the aforementioned blacksmith) myself after this one. 🤣

Dangit, CZcams! Why you gotta make me post 2 separate comments when the end result is going to be the same as if you had just let me post it all in a single comment? 2:08:50 Yay for Yoshi Valley! ❤ I know I said this in the live chat, but it bears repeating. 2:09:19 Since this is the first lap, it makes sense to avoid the chaos on the bridge. This has led to some "where's Remy going?" moments, but my wisdom has been passed down to Justin on this timestamp. If I'm in a frontrunning position but still want to avoid the chaos on the bridge, I'll still go left on the first turn, but I'll go right on the second turn and collect the 3 tunnel coins. That's only one less coin than what's found on the cannon path, so if I'm not outright bagging on the first or second lap, my options are the tunnel coins or the bridge. On the final lap, it's pretty much go for the bridge or bust, but there could be some rare (since this is specifically talking about the final lap) situations where the tunnel coins are worth the time loss by not going bridge. I'm not sure if there's any value in going left left on the first two turns if the second left isn't actually using the bridge, since left left and bridge both meet at the same spot in front of a coin while bridge is faster over 99% of the time (and that remaining <1% is due to getting bumped off the bridge). Nor am I sure about any value in going right left on the first two turns, as that leads to the least common of the various paths with no coin benefit (there are 2 coins visible at 2:09:23 , but that's one less coin than what's found in the tunnel). Going right on the second turn, regardless of left or right on the first turn (though right right would need to avoid the cannon for purposes of this statement) gets the tunnel coins, and there is value in going left or right for the first turn to get to the tunnel. Going left first is faster, but going right first is useful for avoiding the chaos before even approaching the bridge. For those "where's Remy going?" moments, you've always seen me go right right on the first two turns when asking. 2:09:27 Even though my PB route to this tunnel is different (I went left first while you went right on both turns), watching Huge Island might help with collecting all 3 coins found here. It may even be possible to get that 4th coin on the right side of the tunnel near the exit, but that's likely beyond my skill level. We probably need to get on time trial legend Alberto's level to pull off that feat with no loss of time. 2:10:13 There's Jeff getting the sounds of life from Funky Kong. 😆 2:10:47 Clip the grass there? If not, I have no idea what happened with the drift on that turn. 2:10:54 Frame-perfect pause shows Wiglett's face plotting something nasty, and sure enough, what follows is a *M O R T I S* moment. 2:10:57 (in Inugami Korone voice) "I am die, but... revive!" This is the timestamp that I wanted to revisit for commentary purposes despite having seen this live. 😆 2:11:22 Egg hop! 🤣❤ Yet another reason to love Yoshi Valley. 2:25:12 Best of luck in Paradigm, as I said twice in the live chat. By now, it's either ongoing or has reached its conclusion.

Seeing as Kefka Palazzo returned (which is what I was getting at when I said to "blame Stickman on Mar10 Day"), it's only fitting that more commentary on Kefka's races is provided. 1:08:44 There he is, eyeing Stickman's crown menacingly. Not that he has any hope of actually capturing the crown, but Stickman is the one responsible for his return. 1:08:59 If only NEON had continued to forget... At least we got Dancing MADrid for Kefka's first race. 1:10:07 I almost hit myself with a red shell by throwing it before taking the cut. Also managed to botch the cut, making me need to use a second 🍄 from my triples to course-correct. Needless to say, I was rusty on Madrid, and it showed early. 1:10:21 Whoops? Guess you took an errant green from Kefka. At least you aren't involved in the next timestamp. Or are you? 1:10:25 Kefka had a *LOT* of anger to take out after Mar10 Day, and that Bob-Omb, combined with NEON's course selection for the rest of this set, was enough to take the heat off Stickman. Apparently Jacob got caught up in the blast radius as well, which means that Bob-Omb is definitely my most diabolical in terms of what the Bob-Omb itself did. I did set up a more diabolical one in an Athens (Red Shell) Dash race during a Hololive talent's tournament (I can't remember who was hosting, but I want to say it was either FuwaMoco or Shiori Novella), but I think I had too big of a lead too early in the race for that to have made much of a difference. 1:11:11 Lots of "skill issue" rust dropped Kefka from second or third to last. As most of those skill issues couldn't be seen in the footage, it's best to timestamp the aftermath of those skill issues. 1:11:59 Before watching the VOD playback, I thought this result was why NEON did what he did with course selection over the remaining races. Turns out his Ribbon Road selection was just him not realizing who Kefka was at first. 1:12:49 Normally I'd skip to the final race, but since this is Kefka racing, my mind's already damaged enough. Watching the 🗑 that NEON chose can't possibly do more damage than Kefka being forced to play there already did. 1:13:01 Of course Stickman has to revisit the Mar10 Day incident, and of course NEON piles up on it less than 3 seconds later. At least it wasn't a 30-minute period of suffering this time, but if there was any truth to what either Stickman or NEON had to say here, Kefka wouldn't even exist as one of my Miis and I wouldn't have struggled with considering early Mario Kart 8 Deluxe retirement the moment Wave 5 announced this 🗑 was getting added. 1:13:10 So, ummm... what was that noise? 1:13:27 I can't quite tell what Stickman's saying, but unless my ears are truly horrendous, I think he's saying the Cushion tires are my favorite. In all honesty, the Cushion tires are in my top 3, but the Wood tires are my favorite because they're part of Huge Island. The other tire set in my top 3 are Button tires, primarily because of how they and Toadette helped me get a 6th place finish in Alex's Badwagon tournament in late 2021, which was the only time I know for sure I got in the top 10 on one of those. 1:13:32 Oh I did, Justin. I did. Even more so than Madrid, and I wonder if NEON noticed the targeting going on here and at Bowser Castle 3. "And remember who picked it." That's pretty much *why* NEON got targeted, but Kefka isn't above attacking anyone and everyone in his path, so if NEON isn't around and somebody else is, well... James Storm might have something to say to that other player. " *SORRY!* About your damn luck. " 1:13:39 You made this bed, NEON. It's only right that Kefka holds a grudge. 1:14:13 Jacob had a red and I was ahead of him on the glider. I think he would have thrown it under normal circumstances, but since that's me and this is... where it is... he showed great kindness by not throwing it. Bad lines from me post-glider allowed Jacob to pass without needing to throw it, so maybe it was partly due to Jacob having confidence in being able to out-line me on my most hated course in addition to the kindness for him not throwing the red. 1:14:35 Kefka had to take it out on everyone close enough to feel his wrath, and it would seem you're the first recipient of the James Storm quote featured at the end of commentary 3 timestamps ago. Also, there's a double item set coming up, so that was clearance for items to get into better position to try to win the race in addition to taking out anger/frustration. It's always good when use of a single item serves multiple purposes. At least for the player using the item. 1:15:03 Did Kefka hit NEON *AGAIN?!?* If so, he pretty much asked for it with this selection. 1:15:19 No matter what Kefka tried, the only way you weren't hitting him is if you chose not to do so. Of course, on my screen, the ⭐ indicators (there were two of them) disappeared while you were still behind me, so if you had chosen to hit Kefka, I'm not sure if I would have had it in me to stay in the lobby for Bowser Castle 3, and it would have been the combined frustration of this course with Nintendo lag that would be to blame. 1:15:36 If I appear to be doing well on this course, it may be because of the trolling/bullying/griefing others have done to repeatedly pick this course while I'm in the lobby, thus forcing me to gain experience with how to use most items in this specific environment. Adapt or perish, and I'm not going to choose to perish mid-race. I may end up perishing at the end of a race, or I may get a good finish (this was definitely the latter), but it's out of necessity, not desire. Now my knowledge on *Yoshi Valley* is out of desire, as that truly *IS* my favorite course. 1:15:56 Ah, so a water break is to blame for the repick, which we almost ended up getting because it landed on Bowser Castle 3, which was one space after NEON's repick. 1:16:04 Tires and glider, Stickman? 1:16:25 I'm guessing NEON didn't actually return from getting water at this time, and the call's thinking he intentionally made the repick. To be fair, I thought the repick was intentional too, but in my defense, I was far away from my laptop for the 3 races featuring Kefka. 1:16:59 Looks like Stickman's using the Roller tires. Makes sense, considering they're "meta", and there's a good reason the Rollers are meta. However, I'm slightly disappointed that the Sponge tires and Plane Glider weren't used. Stickman didn't go with From Indonesia with Love despite having the driver and kart in the build. 1:17:04 That's jeffmkking with the Funky Kong trailing the 🍌. That's what hit you. 1:17:36 Here's the green shell that made it clear I need to work on aiming better. It missed NEON, and I don't know if it was bad aim on my part or if it was Nintendo lag messing with my eyesight. 1:17:44 Another bad line from Kefka incoming, this one resulting in a lava bath. Which may have been a blessing in disguise, as Kefka got better items for the rest of the race afterward while the bad finish was likely to happen with this group regardless of if the time loss happened here or later. Kefka's luck was all used up in the previous race, and it probably would have been nonexistent without your mercy 7 timestamps ago. 1:19:07 Try getting the Feather with online lag in pretty much every mode. Asking that question won't be necessary after that experience. Trust me on this one, NEON. 1:19:54 It was around this point that I got back to my laptop, but that doesn't necessarily mean this is the end of commentary. I did promise some commentary on the Yoshi Valley race later in the stream. Additionally, I do need to reiterate that, even though playing the second of those 3 races in anger had a pretty good result, it was only because of your end-of-race mercy. Even without noticing that, I mentioned in the live chat that I don't like playing in anger, which is why I left when the set ended after Bowser Castle 3. I guess CZcams didn't like my lengthy commentary in a single message, so the Yoshi Valley commentary will have to be a separate comment.

Certainly wasn't expecting *this* tonight, though it does explain why I saw you get on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe while I was continuing with my Dimitri route in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Well... *M O R T I S* to my planned sleep cycle. I'm probably up until midnight CST (which is 2 A.M. EDT) watching this video while providing commentary. 🪦 If there's an upside to the disruption of my sleep cycle (aside from, you know... actually watching the video 😆), it's that I get to watch the new episode of Ninja Kamui at the scheduled time tomorrow night, since I'll certainly be awake for it. 1:41 Well... add another reason to the list of why the most "competitive" I'll ever get is if/when Alex returns to his Mario Kart Thursday channel. But certainly not any "end of year" tournaments, since the 2023 tournaments are what drove me *into* retirement. There's also the fact that I can't exactly handle "casual" play if a certain Cherry Cup course gets involved. -And before you ask, no it's not Sunset Wilds. I didn't get as insane as Hakos Baelz did after she got involved in a January time trial competition with IRyS.- Sure I got a third place finish in a friend room when somebody (ASCENSION, if my memory is working properly) sent us to that hellhole on the 3rd, and sure I broke the winless streak there a couple days before (in the last race of that session before the suspected hacker joined, but as I told you on Mar10 Day, that was in a different community), but I had to channel my inner Koseki Bijou and, in her own words (or at least paraphrased as accurately as I can remember, since this quote is close to 3 months old at this point)... "I will play this course... in anger." So, ummm... yeah. No competitive for the Remy, a.k.a. Sasori (if you can read the Japanese symbols on my Switch name, that's what it comes out to be... if I used the correct symbols, that is). 2:30 That finish, tho. 😆 2:53 It's certainly my favorite Tour city course. It's actually #3 on my ranking of the 96 courses in 8 Deluxe, and it should come as no surprise in the slightest that Maple Treeway (with double the Wiggler) and Yoshi Valley (with the maze-like branching paths, all of which serve a situational strategic purpose if you know what you're doing) being the only two ahead of Madrid Drive. 3:13 (with a close-up at a frame-perfect pause 2 seconds later) Mira al adorable dormilón Wiggler. ❤ For those of us who don't speak Spanish, Reverso gave me the following translation: "Look at the lovely sleepy Wiggler". I should note that the English phrase I entered into Reverso, which gave me the Spanish featured before this explanation, was "Awww... Look at the adorable sleepyhead Wiggler", and of course I didn't bother with the heart emote at Reverso since that's a CZcams thing that I was able to add after getting the translation. 3:50 Totally not leaving this timestamp for Alex. 👀 -Though it might be a little -*-too-*- early, unless Alex lets it play for several seconds.- 4:08 Buenos días, feliz Wiggler. ¿Dormiste bien? This translates to "Good morning, happy Wiggler. Did you sleep well?", and since that's precisely the English phrase I put into Reverso with the Spanish phrase featured above being the result Reverso gave me, I think it's pretty safe to say this translation is, in an "industry term" I heard from Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny, 100% dead-on-balls accurate. 5:39 At least it's not the "natural habitat". Speaking of Wiglett's natural habitat, I have found that Dolphin Shoals and Cheep Cheep Beach also qualify for that description, and neither of those courses are anywhere near as infuriating as the one ASCENSION mentioned in the chat during the March 3 stream. I'm not sure if Piranha Plant Cove qualifies, since that's a mostly underwater course whereas Dolphin Shoals and Cheep Cheep Beach have some sand on which to drive. 6:50 I've *used* worse combos, though I've taken to calling them "builds" because it's the same number of letters in text form while saving breath by cutting down on syllables when speaking. 7:31 It's not every day I get to say this when the Fire Flower isn't involved, but when the opportunity arises, you can wager your donkey that I'm going to seize it. 🎼 Fired fired, let's get fired. 🎶 8:09 Ah, Sableye Speedway. One of now three courses on which I have From Indonesia with Love as my ghost. The others are Electrodrome, which you already knew about because that was featured in one of Alex's streams in between Halloween and New Year's Eve last year, and Sunshine Airport. I don't know what possessed me to use the build at Sunshine Airport, especially since I already had a Fuzzy ghost there, but I did and I managed to improve my time. By how much, I don't know. Only someone who downloaded my Fuzzy ghost while it was active and can compare it to my current time would be able to say for sure how much better my time with From Indonesia with Love ended up being. 9:42 I bet your life flashed before your eyes with that near-MORTIS moment. 10:03 If you had managed to dodge the Spiny Shell, that would have been another case of "fired fired, let's get fired". Those fireballs were being spammed where your 🍄 would have taken you after the dodge. 10:34 Nasty shell from Tyler. Well played from him. Bad break for you. 11:11 I think mine is Vancouver Velocity, and like with you, not because I wanted to... though I don't mind Vancouver as a course. It's just the one that took the longest for me to beat the Nintendo staff ghost, and then I revisited it to beat a friend from a different community (fortunately, not the community that had the suspected hacker)... and I had to use inward to do so (which, unfortunately, means no Hololive build for my ghost 💔). 14:11 Nintendo decided to send you back to the course you played the most. Shigeru do be trollin'. 15:59 *M O R T I S* 🪦 17:27 Have confidence! That I will be making a(nother) Korone reference during this race. 19:23 Watah in the fiyah... *WHY?!?* Cove was starting to cut it close. Fortunately, I had a backup plan in case I couldn't make *this* Korone reference, which was set up in the previous timestamp. Had there been no fire underwater, I would have timestamped the end of the race and said "no confidence". 20:04 No confidence! In your ability to beat Female Villager. Oh wow. I got to make *three* Korone references this race. 😆 23:14 Please don't be #8. 🙏 Semi-related, congrats on #7 no longer being possible. I had the misfortune of being the first repeat victim on this list, with both of my toilet plunges coming during single-player sessions, #6 with Lemmy being on 200cc and #7 with a driver I no longer actually remember being on 150cc. 23:42 Isabelle happens to be the driver of my second-favorite build, which I haven't used lately. You've seen the build in one of your streams last year. I put her in the Cat Cruiser with Hot Monster tires and the Waddle Wing glider. If you remember the name of this build, you know why this one is so high on my list of favorite builds, with only Huge Island being ahead of it. 25:45 Congratulations on not being #8. 👏 26:20 Better than what Lexus picked, but I have come to the conclusion that even Paris, Tokyo, and New York are better Tour city courses than Berlin, and my mind cannot be changed on this one. Sure, New York is literally next in line when ranking all 96 courses from worst to best, but it's now better than Berlin, and a timestamp will come later to point out exactly where my irreconcilable difference with the course is found. 28:42 Right here. This cut. If taken with a ⭐, you'd expect to be able to plow through those stubs like the pipes in some courses (such as Mario Kart Stadium, Mario Circuit in the Flower Cup, and Toad Circuit, just to name a few). But nope. They're almost as infuriating as the oil field in the even worse Tour city course because the ⭐ doesn't allow you to plow through them. 30:19 We have learned that Daisy is *NOT* Toph Bei Fong. How have we learned this? Because Toph defeated The Boulder. Which Daisy failed to do here. 35:23 Grand Theft Daisy at Vancouver. Well played.

You weren't expecting an upload, but I'm sure it was a pleasant surprise. Lexus was gathering people to play last night and I had a little time. Figured this would be the perfect appetizer for Saturday's streams. 1:41 People sometimes. The one advantage that regular online play has over Lounge is that people have no outlet to talk to you with. When it comes to lounge, when people don't like you, think you suck, etc., they fricken' let you know about it, and this happens ALL THE TIME. Lounge does bring skilled players together, but some people really need to learn when to shut the f*ck up, as their petty issues with other players are neither required or welcome. Let me tell you Remy, lounge is a 100x worse in terms of toxicity even when the GwA tournaments were at their worst. There's a reason I only play squad queues with the guys and wars with Snowfall. That way, you don't have an idea what your opponents are saying unless you go out of your way to seek it (and you won't be forced to team up with a rando that is a complete idiot.) We need not discuss Dumpster Laps any further. 2:30 Teddy Buggy or Yoshi Bike and I lose. The I-frames saved me here. 2:53 Nintendo really knocked it out of the park with Madrid. My only regret is not experiencing it first hand in MK Tour, but the game fell out of favors with me prior to the track's initial release. 3:13 D'aaaaaaw lol 3:50 FATHER BOO COMETH! 5:39 It would certainly be odd to see Wiglet around a volcanic area... lol 6:50 Oh yeah, definitely. I just wasn't expecting Toadette in the Koopa Clown 7:31 I fired myself with extremely poor timing lol 8:09 Hmm, perhaps Father Boo has an effect on that combo that makes you do well lol 9:42 Fortunately, it was ASCENSiON who got obliterated by Stickman's bomb and not me. lol 10:03 Either way I'm probably getting hit. 10:34 I could've been more aware that he had a shell, but even then, sometimes there's just nothing you can do about a skill shot like that. 11:11 Yeah, and playing on it gets old quick. The problem in my case that it is also a competitive favorite. Play a war or squad queue and there's no avoiding Waluigi Stadium. Would much rather have it than Summit though, by a long shot. 14:11 QUIT TROLLIN' LOL 15:59 Not as bad as a direct hit but that still was unavoidable with how sudden it was. 17:27 And what are you applying "No confidence!" to here? 19:23 One must not argue with MK logic... 20:04 That thief stole that second... lol 23:14 Maybe Remy should really try and stay clear of that toilet... lol 23:42 Ah yes, Pooka (if I remember correctly). This ended up falling into a discussion about our dearly departed dogs though 25:45 I survived! Not only winning the race, but also protecting Daisy from that dastardly toilet. lol 26:20 At least Lexus isn't picking it to troll. That aside Berlin can be quite a messy course. It really only has music and that's it. 28:42 Nope. Those ain't budging. They may as well be giant rocks. I don't know if you can phase through them with Father Boo either (like you can with pipes on SNES Mario Circuit). Never tried, but then again, I don't go near that cut without shrooms or some other speed item. 30:19 Daisy is no match for the boulder. She needs a star. lol 35:23 Stickman caused a lot of chaos with that sick snipe on wind which you could see if you were really paying attention just before I steal the race. What I don't know is what took Stickman out. Regardless, let me add a "HI I'M DAISY!" just for the heck of it lol

@@justinnewman4207 The appetizer was certainly appreciated. 😄 1:41 The VC is a double-edged sword. Your reply certainly pointed out the negative, and when it comes to "competitive", that *far* outweighs the positive. It's possible to meet some genuinely nice people in VC, but as I don't actually have that technology on hand, I have no firsthand experience doing so. 2:53 Tour fell out of favor with me long before Madrid was ever considered for the game. The course you said we need not discuss further was in Tour in 2019, and I don't know how long it took for them to consider adding Madrid, with it getting added sometime after I found the GwA community in September of 2021. 3:13 What? No reply to the My Cousin Vinny reference at the other Spanish sleepyhead Wiggler timestamp? 😆 7:31 That happens to all of us at that part of Bowser Castle 3 at some time or another. 8:09 It's probably more about the Cat Cruiser, but I'd prefer to credit Kureiji Ollie if I'm not going to be bragging about my own skill. 🧟 After all, From Indonesia with Love is what got me started on seeking out Hololive builds. Speaking of, we'll probably address this during the Part 1 livestream, which might even start before I can wrap up this reply, but have you seen what I did with Ina's build at Piranha Plant Slide yet? 9:42 In that case... *M O R T I S* for ASCENSION. 🪦 17:27 Somebody got ahead of himself with this reply. The next two timestamps addressed "no confidence". 🤣 19:23 Don't blame me. I'm just quoting Korone. 20:04 As you saw, I ended up timestamping the end of the race with "no confidence" after all. Korone's such a natural comedian. Makes me wish I understood Japanese fluently so I could fully enjoy her content instead of relying on subtitles whenever she's not speaking English. Of course, there are several other reasons why I wish I understood Japanese, but Korone's humor is near the top of that long list of reasons. 23:14 The only way to stay clear of the toilet is to avoid Squeaky Clean Sprint entirely. The course layout forces us to glide over the darn thing. 23:42 Yep. That Isabelle build is called Pooka. Also yep. The last time we discussed Pooka in these comments turned into that conversation. Which we need not rehash, so there's nothing more to add to this timestamp. 26:20 I'm not all that fond of the music for Berlin Byways, but there are some parts of it I kind of enjoy. I'm more of a Whomp enthusiast when it comes to finding something to like about the course. No other course in the game has a Whomp. Probably because the Whomps are hanging out at the Berlin Wall, Nintendo Makeover Edition. 28:42 Even if Father Boo did allow the driver to phase through those stubs, you need a speed item to get through that cut... and if that item is a ⭐, Father Boo's protection gets negated. As such, my previous point about how these stubs have become my breaking point to consider Berlin Byways to be even worse than New York Minute remains. 30:19 Or Father Boo. Or a big black Bullet. Any of those would serve as protection against The Boulder. 35:23 Gotta love a well-timed "HI I'M DAISY!" to conclude commentary. 👍

Yes, I hopped in vc one time, and was absolutely pissed at the track selection in my sq that I did with Jacob (it’s not very fun when most of the tracks being played are baggers). Nice win. That was just pure domination from both of you.

Addressing the video description, "what would happen when teaming up with the "Certified Justin Targetter" that is known as NEON" is probably exactly what you'd expect from a teammate. Unless, of course, that teammate is Alex. 😎 Now on to the video. 0:22 Oh wow. NEON is playing as Daisy and... not... Green Birdo? 👀 2:01 F for that Super Bounce attempt. 2:16 I know you meant "salvage a 7th", but it sure did sound like you said "salvage a 2nd". 😆 2:31 Poor Quick... and poor me, too, seeing as I have this at #5 on my list of favorite courses (with only Yoshi Valley and the Wiggler courses being ahead of it). 3:23 Fire fire, light (your keister) on fire? 👀 4:20 Sometimes slower is safer, and safer makes it end up being faster. In this specific example, NEON probably should have gone top path, but the strategy involved with multiple paths goes back to what I love most about Yoshi Valley even though this is still the Ninja Hideaway race from the previous 2 timestamps. Hearing "where's Remy going?" whenever I take a "slower" route is just an added bonus. 😆 5:15 Crisis... averted. The 2 and 7 counted. 5:27 Ah, Koopa City. Strangely enough, this was near the bottom of my list of favorite courses before the Booster Pass, and the only thing that's changed between then and now is how my Dancing Mad build allowed me to appreciate the course during Wave 5. In fact, my current Koopa City time features Dancing Mad. I need to bring Dancing Mad back to a friend room sometime. Maybe when Dingaling is there, considering how he treated my Mii of Fuwawa the last time. 6:13 Not a bad 🍄, but I'm wondering if the first of those triples was meant to be given to Shiori Novella. I mean, it *did* result in a... *BONK!* 7:39 *M O R T I S* 💥🪦 7:50 Adam/rocky cameo. Unexpected nice touch. 9:10 *TRIPLE* hop! You don't see that every day. Even more impressive is how you managed to drive underneath Jerry during the third hop. 👏 10:28 8Bow Road. Another course I used to dislike before the Booster Pass. Unlike with Koopa City, it wasn't a particular build being used over the course of several races in a wave cycle that improved my opinion of this one. Rather, it was a single race with 11 Japanese players (including one "BAU BAU thief" in Pekora) that allowed me to open my heart to this course. When players aren't constantly spamming items, which for whatever reason is much more of an epidemic when Western players are involved, most courses are much more fun, and 8Bow Road is one of those many courses. 12:02 That's a giant green shell at Daisy's tailpipe. This is part of the constant item spam I was getting at with commentary on the previous timestamp, so I'm not expecting you to be enjoying this race. 12:16 More item spam. This time from an item designed specifically to be spammed. The Fire Flower. Luckily, you had a ⭐ active, so even if that player had been successful with "fire fire, light the fire", you're not getting harmed. 12:23 One of these days, Justin... You'll be getting your Australian Rat moment one of these days. Lately, it seems like the only thing that's been missing is you asking the game to give you a Bullet Bill. 13:13 It's bagging season. 13:35 Competitive tends to ruin opinions of several courses, especially with how some strategies **cough*bagging*cough** get abused. I remember you saying my opinion of Excitebike Arena would change, and not for the better, if I got into competitive, but I'm certain I'd grow weary of MC3 *much* more quickly than I would of Excitebike under those conditions. 14:24 What the *BEEP?!?* Unless NEON trailed his shell on instinct, which I highly doubt would happen because he knew you were the closest player to him for the past few turns, Nintendo needs to do something about online item interaction so that only one of you gets hit by that shell. 19:47 Father Boo audio cameo. 👻😆 20:35 Ride the Bullet. Dodge the Lightning. Not exactly Metallica lyrics, but they'll have to do. 21:21 Nice use of the rear view mirror. We got a lovely shot of Daisy and the Yoshi Bike looking cute together. But, ummm... why did you not give the Luigi hedge a high five? 👀 -I'd ask why you didn't do anything with the Peach hedge, but such a question would be a little bit too "yabai". Also, I may or may not have been spending too much time around Hololive if I'm able to understand what "yabai" is.- 😆 22:46 Fired fired, let's get fired. 🗿 More punishment for using the Biddy? 22:51 Oh NEON, so close... but still wrong. When I'm watching somebody *throw* the fireballs, I say that. When I see somebody on the receiving end, there's a slight variation. 24:32 (in Yoshimitsu voice) Well done! 27:13 Here you go, NEON. 🎼 Fire fire, light the fire. Brighter, higher, as you desire. Chasing all that we aspire. Spreading out like wildfire. 🎶 30:46 (in Monterey Jack voice) *CHEE-EE-EE-EE-EE-EE-EE-EE-EESE!* If I knew how to make the Rescue Rangers character into a Mii, I'd have done so already. He'd be a Heavy driver because, you know... Monterey Jack. 🧀😆 33:22 Top two, with Justin as MVP to boot! 👏 As Fuwawa (and probably her twin sister Mococo as well) would say, you definitely had a howl of a day with this 2v2v2v2v2v2. *BAU BAU!*

27:33 thanks for reminding me to TT this track. My time is inward as well. Remy pretty much covered everything I wanted to discuss, but had you not choked on Squeaky and Gorge, you would’ve gotten 3rd (and maybe get placed in bronze…but then again, you don’t wanna do too well for your first event). EDIT: You also have to practice getting in every single super bounce and soft drifting. Those techniques can go a long way (especially the latter).

Amsterdam just feels better on inward. Those chokes were really bad. Gorge was embarrassing because I was the one that picked it, but at the same time I'm prone to screwing it up at times when under pressure. Even though, the Squeaky botch was 100 times worse in my view. That just shouldn't happen - period. I don't think anyone has seen a fail like that ever. As for everything else, I'm working on it. Drifting drives me crazy at times because sometimes I'm exactly on point... Other times not so much. I know what's required for super bouncing now, I just need to get those lines down.

Before I begin with the "usual" commentary, now's as good a time as any to mention that I've been practicing at Piranha Plant Slide after hearing about how you were instructed by Adam to practice there, and by using a build I'm not sure you've ever seen before (and if you *have* seen it before, I know you've never seen it *from me* before), I got close to your time (I'm only 0:01.251 slower, and my first lap was actually a little faster than yours). 2:06 That Yoshi in the back said "fire is banned". We'll see if that robbed me of any chance to quote Korone throughout the rest of this Mogi. I'm less worried about singing relevant lyrics from Advent's debut song, as the Fire Flower is fairly common... but underwater courses, not so much. 2:29 The last time I heard you get this excited was when you used Link at Paris Promenade. 4:30 Nice 🍄 lead-in to... 🎼 Fire fire, light the fire. 🎶 See? Not worried about this reference. Now quoting Korone, on the other hand... When will I get that opportunity after a Yoshi banned fire at Twisted Mansion? 🤔 4:54 Can you choose which path to send the Bullet, and if so, which path is faster? 5:34 Please don't be #7. 🙏 6:00 Bayesic Training can help. Unless I missed something about Waves 1 through 3, which wouldn't affect the availability for this course, all 96 courses for 150cc are up now. 6:23 and 7:11 Those red shell indicators had me worried, but fortunately, no #7 in either case. 6:42 I'd rather have a Blooper in the face than those triple greens, especially since you're above sea level and are about to take a dip underwater. 7:07 Fired fired, let's get fired. 🗿 Oh wow. Got to make the Lethal Company reference before quoting Korone. All because that Yoshi banned fire at Twisted Mansion. 11:33 and 12:09 What you do here is something I will need to learn if I want to make any improvement on my own Gorge time trial, but I love how I took the gap jump on all 3 laps on my current PB, so I'll need something truly compelling to make me even attempt this because of how much "thumb destruction" will be involved to not only learn this technique but actually use it in a way where I'll be happy with the gap cut in the same time trial. If I were a competitive player, I know Adam would be yelling me for not wanting to destroy my thumbs here. 😆 12:26 No 🍄 this time, but there's more "fire fire, light the fire". 12:48 This one doesn't get lumped in with the others because of the fail. As such, it looks a lot like what my first few attempts at practice would most likely end up being. That, when you combine it with the "thumb destruction" that would be involved, has a lot to do with why I would need a compelling reason to practice when a new PB would remove a time in which I love all 3 gap jumps. 13:06 What's going on with that deep voice? 19:34 Matthew's brethren hath arriveth! 22:40 *M O R T I S* 🪦 23:08 What a horrible time to have a brain fart. 23:19 You still somehow finished with a #Strong4th after the last timestamp. 😆👏 23:35 Text at the top answers the question a lot of us might have been asking. 👍 25:50 Two wins in the same Mogi. Nice. 👏 27:23 Now it's the Boo saying "fire is banned". I wonder if that was Pero. 👀 This was also the last chance to create an opportunity to quote Korone. At least in this Mogi. 27:31 I never could take that cut while staying to the right of the flower beds. If it's an inward-only thing, as you suggest several seconds later, that might be why. 28:29 Madrid! Home of the adorable sleepyhead Spanish Wiggler. 28:58 Speaking of said Wiggler, there it is! ❤ 29:47 Buenos días, feliz Wiggler. ¿Dormiste bien? That will do it for commentary this time. Enjoy. 😄

Through the 45 minutes I Time Trialed PPS, lap 1 was the most inconsistent. It killed more runs than laps 2 and 3 did. The problem is indeed the coin lines. I was faster on laps 2 and 3 because I wasn't worried about it anymore. 2:06 Oh, there will be MANY more opportunities 2:29 How could I not be excited? Its my first competitive mogi ever and I start it off with a BANG. Its impossible to not be hyped after that, especially after the split-second decision that made that comeback even possible. 4:30 Fire, fire, light the fire! 4:54 Not sure. You might be able to influence which path the bill takes by holding left/right. I'm also not sure which is faster. I think it may be the left one, but that may just be me talking since I take it most of the time. By my pacing the left path is usually the one Bowser just punched, creating trick opportunities with the waves. 5:34 Spoiler: I do not become #7 lol 6:00 Yeah, and I'll be the first to admit that my lines are absolute trash here. Its a miracle I actually have won this track before because it drives me madder than something like Wii Rainbow Road ever will. 6:23 & 7:11 The were targeting someone else 6:42 That always seems to be the time someone pulls a triple item like that, when I'm practically on top of them 7:07 Remy's going all out with the references. Fire, fire, I got fired. lol 11:33 & 12:09 Its really not hard after you got the positioning down. Its called a super bounce. You charge a Mini Turbo while in the air and release it by tricking off the mushroom which creates a HUGE boost as you just saw. My Gorge Time Trial has been updated with me super bouncing on all three laps, so use it as reference. Assuming the mini turbo stat of your combo isn't complete trash, you should be able to do this. In fact, most builds (that are not inward bikes) can super bounce. 12:26 MORE FIRE 12:48 Yep, that happened to me a lot before I got the positioning down, and even then I still sometimes screw it up like this. Horrific line and I realized it much too late. 13:06 Don't recognize that voice? It is a Shao Khan voice clip. 19:34 Probably to make trouble for me lol 22:40 I got exploded... 23:08 My partner was so close, causing me to freak out. Unfortunately in effort to avoid a Team Kill, I swerved a little too far left and drove off. 23:19 A 4th I honestly didn't deserve but that's Mario Kart for you 23:35 Because it came off of a random there won't be a penalty anyway 25:50 Just an example of how this blasted track can go either way. Instead of bagging I decided to run the track this time. 27:23 I didn't want it anyway lol 27:31 Its possible on outward, but this is a cut that is much more easier on inward, even if it has a massive hit box like the Jet Bike does. Inward takes this cut so tight that hitting the flower bed will not be a concern. 28:29 A great track to end things off on... If only it weren't for the ending... 28:58 D'awww... 29:47 Wiggler is awake and cares little about what's going on. lol Appreciate the commentary as usual. :)

@@justinnewman4207 At PPS, I would have most of my trouble with the giant Piranha Plant at the beginning of each lap (or the middle path directly behind it, depending on what my line was like after the trick turn, with that trick helping to lower my time by about half a second over the course of all 3 laps) or the Goombas on either the second or final lap (because their placement shifts from one lap to the next and there are subtle differences in their placement if the pace is not *exactly* the same as it was on a previous attempt). Am I done with PPS? For now, but I may revisit after cleaning up any Spiny Cup times that need it. Aside from Madrid, as that one's meant to be a goof-off time and still managed to get within 7 seconds of the staff ghost. 2:06 Since I was only talking about *this* Mogi, that Yoshi did in fact rob me of that opportunity. 2:29 *GO LINK! GO DAISY!* 😎 4:30 🎼 Brighter, higher, as you desire. 🎶 4:54 I guess my curiosity will have to wait a little longer to be fully satisfied. At least as far as Mario Kart 8's Bowser's Castle is concerned. I may need to revisit the Bayesic Training video and find out which path is faster without the trick waves. 5:34 Spoiler? How *DARE* you! 😆 6:42 And it seems like, whenever someone *who isn't me* pulls triple bananas or triple shells, they always find a way to hit you. But when *I* get triple bananas or triple shells, *that's* when Nintendo decides to say we're on separate planets and you get immunity. I still remember what happened, or rather... what should have happened but didn't happen... with you and Kefka at New York Minute. 7:07 You can thank a certain rock for the Lethal Company reference, which is why I used the Moai emote. 11:33 , 12:09 , and 12:48 (all 3 timestamps getting bunched together this time 😆) I know what a Super Bounce is, but don't know if I can pull it off without destroying my thumbs on any course on which it's possible to perform. I wonder if Bowser in the Badwagon with Gold tires and the Waddle Wing glider can Super Bounce. 👀 12:26 I think I'm starting to understand what Fuwawa meant when she said "fire is banned, bau bau" a while back. 13:06 Sometimes I recognize Shao Khan. Sometimes I don't. This was one of the times I didn't. 23:08 Meanwhile, you completely miss the Simon's Quest paraphrasing. WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURSE. 27:23 If this one had been Pero, I could see him using Fuwawa's exact quote while taking the fire away. See 3 timestamps ago in this reply. 28:29 Great music, great course design, giant Wiggler. What more could you ask for? Especially from a Tour city course. 29:47 Wiggler's just living his best life after waking up from his early-race slumber.

Chiefs won it again (unfortunately), so let's talk about my battles, specifically the second one. When Ninetales casts an Aurora Veil, my team usually ends up so tanky that some set-up would ultimately lead to huge sweeps from Minior and Cinccino, and occasional ragequits from people online (this happens quite often lol). Without the Aurora Veil, surviving becomes much harder. My thought process was "try and force out Ninetales". And that *almost* worked, as Justin debated bringing her out a few times. Unfortunately, bad luck with accuracy and paralysis with Cinccino, as well as a misplay, led to a loss. The second match is where I had a lot of misplays. Alongside my waste of terastallization with Hydrapple, switching to Minior against Houndoom was another big misplay, and I mostly did it due to the 2-stage special attack decrease from Draco Meteor and burn that Archaludon suffered. Minior went to waste, and then I later sacrificed Archaludon again so Rabsca could resurrect it alongside another fallen teammate (thanks to the leppa berry), removing the burn. Unfortunately after one resurrection, Rabsca was obliterated by Ninetales, and instead of Archaludon, I brought out my own Ninetales to remove the sunlight, hoping to cast an Aurora Veil. My own trick room was the cause of my Ninetales getting outsped by Justin's, and it unfortunately got killed by a fire blast. Despite those misplays, those battles were absolutely wild. Minior and Rabsca's movesets came from Haydunn's videos, where he shares competitive movesets for underappreciated Pokémon, so definitely check him out. GGs!

Me bringing Kantonian Ninetales was just a coincidence. I just wanted to use it. I really wasn't expecting K-Ninetales to be a threat, but as soon as I saw your Alolan Ninetales, I knew how important my Ninetales was going to be. If I let Aurora Veil get put up, your team would've been nearly impossible to stop (Hydrapple is tanky enough as is, a lesson I learned from Pokefox the hard way.) Please excuse me for miss-naming Minior. I actually do not have much experience with gen 6 and 7 as I skipped both after being absent from the Pokemon scene for at least 7 years. Many Pokemon from both those generations I know little about and have yet to battle. I agree with the assessment on your side of things. That early Tera with Hydrapple was definitely a mistake. Given that it was weakened after duking it out with Mismagius, you left Hydrapple an easy target for Arcanine (as Arcanine was definitely my hardest hitting Pokemon because of the raw power of its moves, you don't want to ever give it a free turn. So Minior and Houndoom. If it were me, I would've just let Archaludon go down here and then send Cinccino after Houndoom. That play would have forced me to take a risk as multi-hit moves render Focus Sash useless. This I think would've changed the battle's direction for sure. I think that's all the big stuff. I think these battles turned into "the player that loses Ninetales first will lose" kind of deal. These battles were definitely fun with the mind games and the nicknames of your Pokemon brought humor into the battles lol. Ggs

Here's the rest of the comment that CZcams didn't like me posting with the previous bit of commentary. 1:18:44 Endurance round. In all honesty, I wasn't sure I'd be able to stay with all 12 races, but I did and it was a lot of fun. For the most part, when FUWAWA had a bad finish in the upcoming races, it was "user error" on my end. The lone exception, at least that I can recall, is the Paris Promenade race in the upcoming set (to differentiate from the Paris race that was part of the previous set). 1:19:32 LoonaBlitz chose violence. If this race went better for me, I would have something better to say for commentary here. But user error, leading to getting hit by a Spiny Shell, took Fuwawa from first to last, so there's no need for any actual commentary for this race and I can skip straight to the next one. 1:21:58 Wiglett picking Singapore Speedway was actually pretty decent. I don't know what made him change course selection later when we didn't get Singapore in any of the 12 races in this set. 1:23:24 We're getting a bit of foreshadowing with LoonaBlitz going "fire fire, light the fire". The main event goes so much better than this prelude. Speaking of prelude, you get involved yourself less than 10 seconds later, but this is still to early for when in the race I was referring to by saying "main event". 1:23:37 Fired fired, let's get fired. 🗿 1:23:51 Whoever was speaking, that was so wrong it was hilarious. 🤣 1:24:05 When you see Iggy spin on the minimap, that's when the main even begins. 🎼Time to get this party started. Fire fire, light the fire. Brighter, higher, as you desire. Chasing all that we aspire. 🎶 1:25:37 We have Madrid, Athens, and Singapore all on the board, any of which would have been a good race (and Madrid probably would have been great because of the giant Spanish sleepyhead Wiggler)... but Nintendo sends us to arguably the worst Tour city course outside of the U.S. And also arguably worse than New York Minute, but I'm of the belief that New York is still worse than Berlin Byways. 1:27:21 Classic Mario Karting. All I know about what happened here is that Fuwawa was innocent. She barely passed by you after the Mario Karting of this section ended. 1:27:56 I should probably not discuss your use of ⭐ during the February 12 episode of FWMC Morning. 👀 1:29:31 I don't recall joining the Castle Crusaders. Or any team involved in wars, for that matter. 😆 But apparently I joined *A* team somewhere along the line, according to the timestamp as Moo Moo Meadows was ending. 🤣 1:30:28 *M O R T I S* for Fuwawa. **sad BAU BAU noises** 🪦 This would have made more sense if I was using a build as a parody of and/or tribute to Nerissa Ravencroft or Shiori Novella, as both of them have completed a playthrough of "Faith: The Unholy Trinity", which is the game that introduced me to "mortis". But I went with Fuwawa Abyssgard instead, so she was the unlucky recipient of the *M O R T I S* moment. 1:32:07 Whoever asked for that was a little late in asking. Fuwawa tossed that a few seconds before this timestamp. *BAU BAU!* 🐶🐶🐾 1:32:26 Most online lobbies are spammy, even the ones that are supposed to be chill like this one. Most other lobbies are worse than this, though, so when I do get the urge to play online, this ended up being one of my best experiences outside of the Hololive viewer tournaments. As for what's said 15 seconds later, I wish I could unhear that. 1:33:31 Back to Paris. As stated several timestamps ago, this is the one race where Fuwawa has a bad finish for reasons that don't come down to "user error". At the final item set, Fuwawa had triple 🍄 and an open item slot. Nintendo decides to give her triple green shells, which don't help with the final cut, making Fuwawa need to hold onto at least one 🍄 for the end of the race... which leaves her open to getting hit by a ⭐ midway through the turn in between those item boxes and the final cut. Had Fuwawa gotten a ⭐ of her own or a single 🍄 instead of triple greens, the triple 🍄 could have been spammed to avoid the other player's ⭐, and the cut would have still been usable. Welp... time to skip to the next race. 1:36:58 Well... Ralph Wiggum had to grow up sometime. 1:38:47 Did Satori join the VC? I still remember what he had to say about Kefka Palazzo at Wind Woods over half a year ago. 😆 1:41:26 Cute. Biboo. Time. Yeah. I'm taking a page out of Koseki Bijou's playbook and trying to make the English language wholesome again. I think she and I are doomed to fail in this endeavor, but it's worth a shot. 🗿 1:41:46 You and Bayesic taught me how to do what Fuwawa does here. Unfortunately, the good moment here doesn't do much when you factor in the "user error" for pretty much the rest of the race. 1:44:36 Gorge didn't go very well, but even though it was because of Lightning, it still falls under the "user error" category because Fuwawa held onto a ⭐ a little too long... and there was the gap jump fails in pretty much every lap as well. No need for timestamps. Just moving on to the next race. 1:48:04 Shroom Ridge time. Far from a boring race, but I can't put into words what was going on throughout the race, so I don't have it in me for commentary this time. 1:50:32 Never let it be said that Fuwawa isn't generous. She did indeed give wind that 4th he was asking to receive. -And those who finished 5th and 6th got gifted those spots as well, as Fuwawa fell to 7th because of the way those final 2 or 3 turns went.- 1:51:30 Aside from my Yoshi Valley and your Madrid Drive, I wasn't looking forward to anything on the board... but this Waluigi Stadium race goes surprisingly well. Certainly much better than Baby Park would have. 1:52:02 Oh wow. The Weight stat isn't broken after all. You barely felt a thing from that Fuwawa bump. Actually, this is an outlier. The Weight stat is broken over 99% of the time. 😆 1:52:45 It's the gyatt. There's otherwise no good reason to ever use the Bone Rattler. 1:53:48 If only you were near an item box and were asking for a Bullet Bill... Sorry, but not sorry, for bringing up the potential for your Australian Rat moment, and this would have been as close as possible to us recreating it, considering I was using Fuwawa all stream long. *BAU BAU!* 🐶🐶🐾 1:54:59 Still haven't beaten all the staff ghosts on 150cc? I can't think of any other reason why there'd be a question mark for tires. What time(s) are you missing? 1:55:36 Only Yoshis at Yoshi's Island. Oh wait. Fuwawa said Yoshi *Valley* when she was speaking about 2 or 3 months ago. *BAU BAU!* 🐶🐶🐾 1:56:22 That 🍌 may or may not have been mine. If it was, the intent was to hit somebody in the lead during the *next* lap. 1:57:30 wind... we may need to talk about that. When Fuwawa sings "fire fire, light the fire" and "ignite these beating hearts", she's not asking you to set her on fire. 👀 1:57:43 If Dingaling is Satori, we may or may not be even for what happened at Wind Woods... but at least what Kefka did back then wasn't particularly malicious as Kefka didn't slow himself down in any way to make that happen, but since Kefka struck first, this could be retribution for that. It's also kinda surprising that everybody (other than you, as you likely figured it out from the beginning) went as long as they did without realizing that I was using my Mii of Fuwawa. 🐶😆 1:58:15 That shock would be Fuwawa's. It was literally the only time I could have used it. The item wasn't ready before then, and waiting any amount of time would have allowed too many players to get to the finish line before the Lightning could do anything... and you would have dodged anyway. 1:59:39 Closing things out on Melody Motorway, which is also my best race of the stream. Kind of fitting, as it's my favorite of the courses on which we actually raced this time around. 2:00:51 After being slow-starred at Yoshi's Island, I'm not sure what was going on in my mind for this race. Was I relaxed? I don't know. What I do know is what I said at the previous timestamp is true. This is indeed my best race of today's stream. 2:00:59 So you're the one who kept me from taking the "cool shroomless shortcut" this lap. I took it both other laps, and that was part of why this race went so well, but clearly this race wasn't perfect. 👀 2:01:39 Now you've got a front row seat. 🎼 Fire fire, light the fire. Brighter, higher, as you desire. Ignite these beating hearts. 🎶 Also, it may not have been the "planned" retribution for Toad Circuit, as I didn't expect you to cut in front of Fuwawa after the fire hit Scrubs, and I didn't even know it was you until watching this part of the VOD, but it will do. 2:01:47 You made the mistake of stepping in front of Fuwawa. *BAU BAU!* 🐶🐶🐾 2:03:57 Have fun with Splatoon tonight. 👍 It might even be going on while I'm putting the finishing touches on this comment.

Poor Fuwawa 1:32:07 lol, a little late to speak it into existence 1:32:26 This lobby was definitely tame compared to what I have seen elsewhere (average WW for instance). Fire Flower spam is still an issue but... That's the fire flower lol 1:33:31 Pulling Triple Greens when YOU need to mount a comeback is extremely frustrating, especially with shroom cuts coming up. 1:36:58 And the stream is about to go off the rails.... 1:38:47 Satori DID join the VC. I remember the terrorist line too lol 1:41:26 Cute. Biboo. Time. On Grumble Volcano? lol 1:41:46 I saw you attempt the cut watching this stamp. It looks like you needed to take it a little tighter if you didn't make it. Nintendo lag makes it nearly impossible to see a human opponent successfully land the cut in real time so even if you did make it I probably wouldn't know it. On a side note, Peach keeps stealing wins on Grumble. What the heck... lol 1:44:36 I win this race if it weren't for that shock. Speaking of, Mushroom Gorge is another time trial of mine you can watch if you want to learn my habits. 1:48:04 That was an extremely chaotic race in general. 1:50:32 You gave positions to people. How nice. lol 1:51:30 Waluigi Stadium for the MILLIONTH time... 1:52:02 Jet-Bike + Rollers is surprisingly light. Not kidding on this one. 1:52:45 Its all about the GYATT. lol 1:53:48 Dang, missed the opportunity again! No Australian Rat moment for me lol 1:54:59 I didn't realize this until just a while ago but I am one of those players who never unlocked the Gold Tires. There are just some time trials (and I don't remember which ones) that I just can't be bothered to do for a couple of reasons: 1. I hate the track, or 2. It rarely comes up online making me less likely to TT it. 1:55:36 I will not be a Yoshi on any Yoshi track lol 1:56:22 Who knows who booby-traps double boxes. Everyone does it. 1:57:30 Fired by wind. Oh dear, oh dear 1:57:43 Dingaling was Buzzy I believe. Satori unfortunately didn't get a chance to play with us because the lobby was full at the time and went off to do something else. 1:58:15 Shock dodge from Remy lol 1:59:39 Ah yes, the race where I use the Metal Tires lol 2:00:59 Sorry. *Shock* 2:01:39 YOU. FIRED. ME. *rages* lol 2:03:57 It, was a bit of a disaster lol. Spaceboy and his friends are pros and play the ranked stuff, which is something I don't do. Let alone with Matthew.

@@uraveragemariogamesenjoyer It's a habit I picked up on during the Games with Alex streams. When I race during a livestream, I can't be active in the chat simultaneously, so I provide commentary on the VOD in the form of these CZcams comments. 😄 Of course Justin decides to reply to my commentary timestamp-for-timestamp, at least on his streams/videos, so that's why we're both providing lengthy comments. 😆

@@justinnewman4207 1:18:44 If I were to leave early, it would have been a shortage of stamina on my end... but on the positive side, returning to watching would have allowed me to hear your mates' shenanigans live. 😆 Of course, hearing them in VOD form is good too, and being able to stick around for all 12 races means I could be responsible for some of the shenanigans that might not have otherwise existed. 🤣 1:21:58 The only way we can know for sure is to ask Wiglett/ASCENSION himself. 1:23:24 , 1:23:37 , and 1:24:05 I'm starting to think a better name for this course would be Tokyo Burn. 1:24:05 (again) I'm sure Floppa would be okay with this knowledge, as long as it's not *his* Iggy that's being lit on fire. 1:25:37 The only thing you like about New York Minute is that you get to say "honey, I'm home" when we're at the starting line. 😆 1:29:31 One of us! One of us! One of us! 1:32:26 The Fire Flower is probably designed for spamming, since I've noticed that trying to be strategic with throwing the fireballs one by one often leads to the item disappearing after only 2 or 3 tosses. That item aside, this lobby was indeed chill. Well... mostly. There were a few ⭐ incidents covered in these timestamps, but only one was egregiously bad. 1:36:58 About to? Where were you for the previous hour? 🤣 1:38:47 That "terrorist" line and saying Kefka's line was "uncalled for" were the best parts of these VCs, with the latter being particularly funny because the line was actually optimal for that part of Wind Woods. 1:41:26 Cute Biboo Time works *anywhere* , even on Grumble Volcano. It sure beats any *other* type of CBT. 1:41:46 I made the cut fine. I think I did so on all 3 laps, but didn't timestamp the others because I didn't see Fuwawa on your screen when you were at the cut. The "user error" happens on other sections of the course. Or maybe there was some user error during the attempt of this cut on the final lap whereas this timestamp is for the first lap. 1:44:36 I think I have your Gorge ghost already downloaded on my Switch. I'm not sure if I can do anything better than what I have with Luigi's Hope there, especially since I got the gap jump *by clearing the fence* on all 3 laps, but your time is still faster, so I can definitely learn something by watching. 👍 Whether or not it's within my skill set to actually execute, however... is another story entirely. 😆 1:50:32 That's "user error" coming into play again, but I did indeed give away 4th, then 5th, and then 6th (probably all at the same time). Fuwawa had 4th for the taking, but you know what they say about dogs chasing cars. 🤣 *BAU BAU!* 🐶🐶🐾 1:52:02 Oh wow! You should have been bumped a little more than what we see here, since your Weight stat is an even 2 while Fuwawa's is 2.25. Not enough to disrupt your line, but enough to where you're actually bumped. Now if I had been using Mococo with the GLA tires and Cloud Glider, then our Weight stats would have been equal at 2 apiece, and that bump would have been completely accurate. I don't know why I thought the Jet Bike had more Weight than it actually does, but that's why I said what I did at this timestamp in the original commentary. 1:52:45 For Nerizzler. If you don't know *this* meme, you haven't been getting enough CBT... and I used the acronym intentionally to see if you can figure out what I mean. 🗿 1:53:48 I did my part for recreating an Australian Rat moment. I played as my Mii of Fuwawa and hit you from behind (well... a little to the side, actually) with the Bullet Bill. 😎 1:54:59 I unlocked the Gold Tires before finding the GwA community. Probably because I had the time on my hands and wanted to be a single-player completionist, which I had successfully done before the Booster Pass. Now I still have the 200cc 3-star trophies to obtain on the Booster Pass if I want to be a completionist, but I'd rather not put myself through the pain of 200cc Cherry Cup. Especially if a COM finds a way to drop me to second place at the Vancouver Velocity finish line and make me finish the cup with 57 points, which won't get the 3-star trophy. Also, I'm more interested in cleaning up my 150cc time trials. Even Maple Treeway got cleaned up earlier this month (or maybe even in late January), but that's primarily due to the goof-off time being featured during an Alex stream late last year. 1:55:36 No worries. Fuwawa and Mococo continued using their shared Mii, so they were just talking about making Yoshi sounds instead of speaking. It seems like everything they do is so cute. ❤ 1:56:22 Yeah. Everybody does it. That's why I don't feel bad about doing it, but I do feel a little bit of remorse when I hit somebody who isn't the intended target, as was the case here. 1:57:30 I managed to avoid the fire, but the commentary wouldn't have come out as good if I added that detail then. However, "user error" resulted in Fuwawa falling off the bridge mid-shortcut, and the race was a complete disaster from this point onward. 1:57:43 Dang. On at least 3 counts. 1. Now Buzzy has made "The List". 2. Satori didn't "get even" with me for the Kefka at Wind Woods incident. 3. Satori didn't play at all in this session. 1:58:15 It seems like every time I use Lightning finds a way to benefit you. Nothing wrong with that, unless I were to join the competitive scene and we're on opposing sides, in which case my teammates would think I'm throwing. But that's not happening, so I've got nothing to worry about. 2:00:59 Clearly our uses of Lightning are *NOT* mutually beneficial. 😳 2:01:39 See next timestamp in original comment for my response. 2:03:57 As long as the disaster was fun, I fail to see any issue. 😄 Also, in case Matthew stumbles upon this comment... **BONK!**

Obviously, I couldn't do much chatting for the second half of the stream, which is why I've got VOD commentary. 1:11:34 My Mii: "I'm not a chihuahua. I'm-" Nintendo's course selection: *"MOO!"* 🐮 1:11:50 What is that guy talking about? But I went with Fuwawa today instead. 1:15:36 Oh so *THAT* is what hit Ender. I got so worried after I passed him that he might have thought it was me, and then he'd have either been targeting me in retaliation for the rest of the race and/or the following 12-race set. 1:15:49 What I did wrong here was 🍄 without first performing a trick boost, which is why there wasn't enough boost left to finish the cut. 1:17:04 What did I do, and who was the unlucky recipient? **apologetic BAU BAU noises** Apparently my commentary got too long for CZcams (again), so I'm breaking it up into 2 parts. @@justinnewman4207 1:11:34 Fun fact. I would have made a pun with the cow and Mococo's name if I had been using her instead of Fuwawa for this friend room. 1:11:50 My commentary at this timestamp was a joke about how the person speaking finished ahead of the player with Morton the race before I joined the room. 😆 1:13:48 Unless we're at Donut Plains 3 or Yoshi Circuit, I don't think it's actually possible to fully Minecraft each other. Those are the only 2 courses where I can recall being able to actually drive into blue stuff (though it's not advised at Yoshi Circuit) *and* a (berry) bush. Alex's memes *MUST* live on! 1:14:44 Considering who showed me the Funky Kong build I mentioned and how you responded to the timestamp, I can only respond with three words: "Get some help". I do wish *Cranky* Kong was a playable character. He's probably #2 on my list of favorite Mario characters, assuming Donkey Kong Country games count as Mario games, with only Koopa the Quick ahead of him. Without Funky, Cranky, and Candy, I'm with you on the Kongs, and that's something I didn't expect to say about Donkey at this time last year, but that's the result of Seth Rogen doing to him what Jen Taylor did to Toad close to 25 years ago. 💔 1:15:49 I never know where the "off road" part of this cut starts, so I either use my 🍄 too early (as with this timestamp) or too late (which actually works out fine for me because I don't stay slowed down by the off road for very long if I have a 🍄 to use after my tires make contact with it). 1:17:04 Somebody in the VC said "no, Fuwawa!" at this timestamp. I couldn't tell for sure if it was wind or not, but the more I hear this timestamp, the more I think it was him. If so, that explains something that happens 40 minutes later, which is covered in the other part of commentary.

Commentary time. 1:48 I didn't see which of those two Japanese players did it, but the fact that they're both Japanese means there's a chance they're buddies playing together and whoever threw it back didn't want to hit the friend in front of him (or her, if the culprit is female). 2:22 Diddy Kong stole your items and the video footage from the rest of the race. I read the pinned comment, so I know what really happened with the rest of the footage. It's just funnier to say that Diddy Kong stole it. But at the same time, the "theft" happened right before the Wigglers on the final lap, so it also gives me another reason to hate Diddy Kong (as if I needed additional reasons to hate a Kong not named Cranky or Funky). 2:51 "Let's get some coins." **proceeds to miss 3 of the next 4 coins** Being an outward bike in a world after the Wave 4 meta change is probably why you missed those 3 coins. 4:12 Right about now, even though the circumstances are among the worst possible at Yoshi Circuit, it's time for two references for the price of one. "Fired fired, let's get fired." One reference is obvious, especially given my history of adding that commentary with the Fire Flower. The other? Lethal Company. Enjoy. 4:35 and 37:04 Speaking of that obvious reference... 🎼 Fire fire, light the fire. 🎶 4:51 Looks like there was a bit of a change to the player roster in between the Diddy Kong cut at Maple Treeway and the end of this race. Another American (who was below 3K, which means he certainly wasn't in the room when you said nobody was below 20K at Maple Treeway) joined you, all of the non-American gaijin players left, and the other players who joined are more Japanese players. 5:35 Not one, not two, but *three* tricks. Controller shake? One thing's for sure. I rarely have the idea of tricking at all on that section, and when I do, it's only a single time. 6:23 Just an innocent timestamp. Totally not a "Justin out of context" moment. 👀 7:40 At first, I misread "oimo" in the name "yoda_oimo" as... let's just say I thought those O's were a neighboring letter in the alphabet, and in case anyone asks, "nimn" wouldn't make any sense in this context. 7:49 Yo, Wind Woods. If you haven't already seen my Fuzzy time trial here, you should. The time itself isn't anything special, but the journey was a lot of fun and the end result is actually a PB (which I wasn't expecting when I started the journey, but since I wanted the time to be the one that could be downloaded, I erased my previous PB... and that ended up being unnecessary because the new time is actually slightly faster by less than a second, unless my memory of the previous PB time is off and the final number of that time was slower than .897, as I remember the previous PB being a 1:57 while the current time is 1:56.897). "Halfway through" would make this a little over 15 minutes. The video ended up being 3x as long. 😆 9:31 Oof. And to think Mococo gave you a lesson on how to use triple bananas to protect against red shells yesterday, too. It's easy to pin the blame on Nintendo lag, but I'm thinking it was more of the elevation difference at the moment you pressed the button for that defense attempt. The red shell stayed at your elevation while the 🍌 just dropped until landing on the tree branch (or into the void, if there was no branch surface below where it was dropping). 10:06 Did that PGP really win the race? 👀 *AS A GAIJIN?!?* 👀 In a room with *ten* Japanese players? 👀 Side note. That could have been me at 8Bow Road, if only my Dry Bones build had beaten one more Japanese player. I finished second, and a Japanese player won. Fun fact. That Dry Bones race featured Pekora. 10:14 and 15:06 To the Mall, boys! Another fun fact. My Coconut Mall time trial uses Roy At The Mall. Yet another fun fact. I actually beat the staff ghost with Roy At The Mall. 11:58 *M O R T I S* at the Mall. 🪦 12:19 and 43:29 Cool guys may not look at explosions, but cute girls named for flowers do. Probably to avoid driving into them. 13:06 I didn't know that about Super Bell Subway, but seeing the subway trains typically being a menace for about half the race, I'm not surprised. 14:00 Train hop! Almost as enjoyable as a Wiggler hop. This one was less enjoyable than the usual train hop, but only because of the landing. 15:32 It wouldn't surprise me if the Japanese players had the same issue when it comes to their items hitting us on their screens but we keep driving merrily along as if nothing happened. 16:06 That Ankle-Biter, tho... I got a funny frame-perfect pause. Poor Daisy. She knows what's coming and can't do anything about it. 19:33 , 19:49 , 29:44 , and 37:14 Watah in the fiyah... *WHY?!?* 20:35 The worst season. I can tell by that ramp. It's not there in any of the other seasons, the same is true for the other ramps in this season, and the next timestamp will once again draw attention to the ramp that makes this the worst season, as I have done in previous comments. I actually enjoy Animal Crossing *on the other 3 seasons* . Yes, even Winter. At least that season doesn't have Resetti or the bad ramp, and as most of my Mario Kart 8 Deluxe experience has good Traction (Koopa Troopa on Wild Wiggler is one of the best setups for that stat, even with Wood tires adding next to nothing there), the icy surface is less troublesome to me than it is to players who have most of their experience on Waluigi Wiggler. 21:05 Oh look. There's the ramp that makes this season borderline unplayable. Especially against live competition. 22:18 This is why I added "borderline" in the previous timestamp. Moments like this are why it's not quite completely unplayable. Still horrible ramp placement, especially with Resetti in the vicinity. 22:43 Looks like I accidentally got revenge on Stickman for what happened as I arrived to yesterday's stream, as I ended up being one of those "Peachette players" when the friend room started. Of course, I'm not at all who Stickman had in mind when Peachette players were driving him mad, as I only really use Peachette when I wish to "summon the cringe of gyatt". Semi-related, if you have not yet heard "Bury the Cringe", take some time to do so. If you end up regretting it, then consider yourself taxed. 😆 27:20 Birdo wins. Squishality. 28:44 Better to get ankle-bitered here than at the glider. 29:27 and 42:08 There's probably never a "good" set of circumstances, but at least neither of these was as bad as what happened at Yoshi Circuit. Fired fired, let's get fired. 30:54 There are two penguins sliding across the ice. How do we know which one is Jerry? 👀 31:24 🐧 hop! Rather than waste time on another timestamp, just letting it play from here will show a "move, you stupid 🐧!" moment in the next few seconds. 31:35 (in Cartridge Bot voice) *WHAT?!* 36:17 Or I could have just used this timestamp to respond to the previous one. 40:18 Better than Toad Circuit, New York Minute, Dry Dry Desert, Baby Park, Toad's Turnpike, and Jank Jank Summit, and this is an incomplete list that has 6 on it, so I have to disagree with "bottom 5".

1:48 Or it was a case of being out to get someone. History has taught me that if a player wants you gone, they will do whatever it takes to make sure you lose, even if it means throwing the race. 2:22 Blame Diddy Kong. lol 2:51 Yeah, my alignment was way off lol 4:12 I probably win the race if I don't "get fired" here. 4:35 NOW I'M DOING THE FIRING. It may have been lag, but I think I fired that Peachette twice. If it wasn't a case of lag, that's what you get for using a combo with literally no I-frames. 37:04 This one was just a case of "I see triple greens therefore you are fired!" 4:51 Yeah, it only lasted for one race. A couple players dropped out after Maple Treeway ended. However, everyone had 20k+ VR for the rest of the time I played with the exception of two players at the most. 5:35 If you take the path that Bowser just punched, you can trick off of the 'waves.' I advise shaking the controller. Usually I'm able to get 3 as you saw, but if I'm especially fast its possible to get a 4th. There's also some additional tech here which can be seen if you watch time trials from players in the Top 5. 6:23 When Justin doesn't care and says whatever he wants lol 7:49 1:56 is a respectable time for you in my view. And I got a little ahead of myself here. In a normal Tournament video I would be at the half-way point. I ended up playing for an hour, getting more races in because I stayed in the same lobby the whole time. Its rare to play for such a long time without running into a DC issue. The lack of Lobby shuffling also helped get more races in. Lobby shuffling really does eat a lot of time. 9:31 Situations like that are frustrating. I should've used the rearview here, then I may have been able to stop it last second. 10:06 Pretty sure that was the ONLY race he won. He probably took a lot of heat off of me lol 10:14 & 15:06 TO THE MALL BOIS! If I put out another one of these videos I wonder how often I'll get repeat tracks like this. Much respect to ROY AT THE MALL. 11:58 One of these days I'm going to abruptly end the video after getting karted like this for shock value, while leaving a "YOU ARE DEAD" screen afterwards lol I saw Shortcat abruptly end a video after getting bombed once and I laughed so hard. lol 12:19 & 43:29 Daisy was perfectly safe from these 13:06 Yep, a lot of comeback potential here. Not to mention the paths that no one takes because they are so slow have double boxes. Perfect for bagging. 14:00 Of course I hit the train lol 15:32 Probably. Lag gets worse the further away people are from each other. I was surprised I didn't come across players from other nations. Playing as early as I was, I was expecting to see players from parts of the world like the UK. Didn't end up happening. That's why I played so early, in attempt to get more than just Japanese competition. It was so late for them, but these guys are active around the clock it seems lol 16:06 Of course I get hit by the Ankle-biter in the dirtiest way possible lol Watah in the fiyah! Don't argue with Mario Kart Logic. 20:35 Summer just screws up your lines. Most smart players know to avoid that poorly placed ramp (especially if they are going to shroom up) Resetti is an inconvenience but is obviously easy to avoid. Some of my worst races here on Animal Crossing do happen in Winter, so I hate that season the most. 21:05 And right on cue there's Resetti preventing me from taking the cut as tight as I wanted to. So there's a point for Remy. 22:18 And another instance of tracks with global cycles. Race the track enough and you'll get a rough idea when Resetti will pop up. 22:43 I kinda laughed when Stickman said that. Peachette players can be ruthless lol. Oh that gyatt joke is never going to go away, is it? 27:20 How dare you, Birdo! HOW DARE YOU FLATTEN ROYALTY! The punishment shall be death! lol 28:44 True but there's never a good time to get hit like that, because I just lost all momentum I gained from that cut. 29:27 & 42:08 Why do people pull fire at the worst possible times!? 30:54 Dunno. Maybe an evil twin? lol 31:24 STUPID PENGIUN! OF COURSE YOU GET IN MY WAY! 31:35 THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN. AT ALL. PERIOD. END OF STORY. 36:17 I need to get some voice clips because there are some that will fit these situations quite nicely 40:18 I hate Excitebike more every time I play on it. If you got into competitive your stance on this track would likely change as well. Not as much of a lottery as Baby Park is but still pretty damn close. This track is probably the one that is keeping me from playing Lounge, because then there will be no avoiding it. You can at least try to dodge these bad tracks in most lobbies but not in competitive.

@@justinnewman4207 Reply time. 😆😄 1:48 That's another possibility, sure. I'm not sure if I'm right, if you're right, if we're both right, or if we're both wrong with our theories here, as without actually hearing from the Japanese players themselves, it's nothing more than speculation from both of us. 4:35 I don't remember what vehicle body that Birdo was using anymore (but this timestamp shows it). If Biddybuggy or Mr. Scooty, it was definitely minimal Invincibility. Surprisingly, the Teddy Buggy and Yoshi Bike (the meta vehicle bodies) each have slightly more Invincibility than Biddybuggy/Scooty (+1 from Teddy/Yoshi, 0 from Biddybuggy/Scooty). I know from firsthand experience about Birdo in Biddybuggy having no Invincibility, as I have run some time trials with that build. Blame/thank Okayu a little over a month ago for this idea. 5:35 Shaking the controller is finicky for me, but so far I've only tried that at Gorge, where I'm trying to improve my time with Luigi's Hope (a build I got from IRyS and named for her as well) but haven't had much luck because of how difficult that gap jump is, which is necessary to improve my time because my current PB cleared it on all 3 laps. 5:35 I have the maximum time trials downloaded because I keep trying to learn from people on my friends list (primarily you, CPE, and wind, but there are a few others from whom I can learn on certain courses). If/when that changes (for more than a few minutes due to needing to download another friend's times in the Cherry Cup and/or Wave 6), I'll have to check out some top 5 times on certain courses, and Bowser's Castle in the Special Cup just got to the top of that list (assuming I remember this discussion when that time comes, that is). 7:49 I might be able to get an even better time if I use a heavier driver (for more Speed, not the Weight stat itself) and change the other parts to be friendlier to Anti-Gravity (but Cloud Glider can stay), but I don't think I want to make those changes because doing so would make me lose that run from Mococo. Maybe I'll revisit and try to improve my time after Alex's voice recovers and the Wind Woods time is shown on stream, but maybe I won't for the reason given in the previous sentence. 9:31 While I agree that the rearview would have been helpful, intuition can be every bit as helpful. It's just a matter of whether or not you trust your instincts, and if I had been in that situation, mine would have said to wait until landing before using the 🍌 to protect. Depending on the red shell's timing and the 🍌's rotation, it's entirely possible that you were getting hit no matter what you did. I teasingly brought up our Sherbet Land race to lighten the mood, but the circumstances there were different in that there was no elevation change from when you threw your red shells to when Mococo protected herself. 10:06 Staying focused on the topic as ever, I see. Not letting yourself get distracted by Dry Bones. Or Pekora, for that matter. 🤣 11:58 I think I remember that ending from Shortcat. I forget what video it was, but I do remember a Bob-Omb explosion ending to a video. True *M O R T I S* moment there. 🪦😆 14:00 It happens. At Kalimari Desert, the train (and Lightning) ruined my race with Okayu. If you saw earlier in this reply, you'll notice I picked up a build from her. The Kalimari Desert race being referenced is *where* I picked up on what build she was using. 15:32 You might see more Europeans in the next one of these videos. The nationalities you see tend to be time zone dependent, but I'm sure you knew that already. I love how I put *four* timestamps for quoting Korone and you didn't add any of them in your reply. 🤣 Fun fact. The Korone quote used here is #2 on my list of favorite Korone quotes. Which one do I like better? "Oh I am die. Thank you forever." I save that one for when I'm on the receiving end of a Bob-Omb and not using a FuwaMoco build, so I don't know when the next time I'll use it in proper Mario Kart context. 20:35 I think you mixed up Spring and Summer. Summer is the one featured in Time Trial mode. Spring is the one in this race. Winter is actually #2 on my list of favorite Animal Crossing seasons. Again, it's probably because of the Traction stat difference between my favorite build and what most players use. Autumn is my favorite, then Winter, then Summer, and Spring is a *distant* fourth. 22:43 Just to hammer home the gyatt joke... 🎼 Stickin' out your gyatt for Nerizzler~ You're so BAU BAU~ You're so Biboo Tax~ I just want to be your Shiori~ 🎶 Side note. The funniest version of this I heard was when FuwaMoco stopped singing right before "Shiori", with Fuwawa saying "I don't want to be a bookmark". It's also educational because Shiori is Japanese for "bookmark". The mo' you know. 👍 28:44 I never said it was good to get hit there. I just said it was better than at the glider. However, if a Spiny Shell was headed your way, maybe it would have been a good time to get ankle-bitered? 👀 30:54 Or maybe Jerry *is* the evil twin. After all, Alex and FuwaMoco have hit Jerry on multiple occasions, with FuwaMoco having done so in the same race. Jerry's supervillain origin story could have already been written. 🐧👀 40:18 I doubt my stance on Excitebike would change when compared to any of the courses I listed in the original comment. Or when compared to Los Angeles Trash, I mean Dumpster Laps, I mean... you know what I mean. As for the courses I didn't actually list but don't like as much as Excitebike Arena at present, there's a chance I might end up liking them better than Excitebike if I get into competitive play, but that's not happening after Alex's end-of-year 200cc and 150cc tournaments.

@@NEON89_ Try to pay attention to when I come online. When I go into WW's to grind, I leave my online status on. If you catch me in one of these lobbies, anyone is free to join. EDIT: I totally misread the comment. Lol, nice job hitting 15k. Still a ways to go but you can do it.
