- This is it, the tournament's of the year are here. This is my first after missing the Mirror and Trash combo tournaments. Unfortunately, this one didn't go my way.

Indeed it was. At least you got in the top 10 and Justin got in the top 20, which is more than I can say for Alex and me.

I already covered this in my big timestamp comment, so I'm just going to take this opportunity to say two things.
1. Get well ASAP.
2. If we had been in the same lobby, I might have done something I would never otherwise do. If the lead course of the Cherry Cup was an option and you're one of my opponents, we do have a score or two to settle by racing there. Maybe we'll get that opportunity in the 150cc tournament. Just don't expect me to ever stop hating that specific course.

This race at Paris ended up being the best one for both of us, as my only better finish than the 4th seen here (at least that I remember) was the 3rd I achieved through sheer item luck while you were spectating.
Also, because of the fact I was one race ahead, I got shuffled out of your room after this race.

If I had to guess how she finished ahead of you, it's because you didn't try "fire fire, light the fire" when you had a Fire Flower in hand on the final straightaway.

Looks like, aside from the glider (I was using Paraglider, as I went full "Australian Rat"), Matthew and I used the same build. It even looks like he and I both used Azure Roller tires, but I can't tell with 100% certainty what his tires are as of yet.

In tomorrow's 150cc tournament, I may be tempted to go with Fuwawa or Mococo (probably Mococo to build Mini-Turbos better) if Baby Park is available.

Oh, and nice cringe 4 seconds later (which Matthew timestamped already). Only Father Boo and Pauline remain unaffected by Justin cringe in that driver stat class, and Pauline didn't even start racing until Wave 6. 🤣

Since I had been spectating the previous race, I was hoping we'd be in the same lobby this time, but then you got shuffled out and I was left with Waffles for my final 4 races, with NEON getting added to the equation for my final 3 races. With NEON getting into your lobby here, my 24 races have clearly been completed, as he was in my 24th race. It probably goes without saying, but I'm seriously considering retiring from 200cc after my tournament. As I said at the end of my commentary on a post-stream comment for Alex, there's only one reason I can think of for continuing to play 200cc, and it's not even remotely close to being family-friendly. Let's just say the M at the end of a certain 4-letter acronym is involved.

I picked this one earlier in the tournament, but Shigeru didn't send me here. In my defense, the alternatives were Yoshi Circuit (where I had already played, and where Shigeru ended up sending me when I picked Melody Motorway) and Koopa City, both of which are nightmarish when it comes to virtually every turn. Had this been before Wave 5, I'd have gone Random with that selection, but you already know why I can't go Random anymore.

Actually, you held on for 19th. Meanwhile, Alex and I were both unable to crack the top 20. I told Alex that he had some questionable plays while I just suck at 200cc and that's why neither he nor I made the top 20.
I wouldn't be surprised if you're at least in the top 15 in the 150cc tournament, but it will take a miracle for me to get back in the top 20. After the things Alex was doing in this tournament, I have a special build waiting for him in the 150cc tournament. I would have gone with From Indonesia with Love in retaliation, but he might be expecting that, so I'm thinking Pipe Frame, Wood tires, and Parafoil glider this time around. Regardless, the plan of Shy Guy on Master Cycle with Cushion tires and Peach Parasol glider is being shelved until 2024. Or I could bring it back on one of your weekend streams. Alex (along with several other players, none of whom I can remember with any degree of certainty) must pay for this tournament.

It started off painful. No question. There's not much I can point out as exclusively my fault either, having a huge issue with lag (which seems to be a lot worse since Wave 6 dropped and I'm not the only one who has said this). Savage tournament.

8:45 There was no way I was going to be able to hit her, so I didn't bother trying. Spamming fire may have thrown me off my line and cause me to fall off the track. Just another example of getting useless items that can't help me period. (now that I think about it, I didn't pull many red shells at all throughout the tournament). Ultimately I lost because of my lack of Mini Turbo. If you didn't know, your Mini Turbo stat also determines how much boost you get off of trick jumps. That's what did me in.

I'm bringing a very angry Daisy with me for 150cc. It has been a long time since I've used her in these tournaments, and she was banned in 3 of the last tournaments I played. And since Alex was a savage, he better watch out for me this time as well. Oh, and btw, players like Speedydave and Mario Fan are ALSO on my list dare they cross my path, as both irritated me throughout the tournament. I'm with you on this one Remy. Alex, and several others, WILL PAY FOR THEIR SINS.

Since I know we both just want to put this tournament behind us ASAP, the only follow-up commentary I have this time is about the specific build I'm planning on bringing to tonight's 150cc tournament. You may have noticed I didn't mention a driver. That's because the driver for "From Indonesia with Love" is carried over to the new build I mentioned, which is one of the ways I intend to make Alex pay when you factor in that *Father Boo* drives From Indonesia with Love. 👻😆👑
The full build I'm planning on using tonight came from yet another Hololive talent, Ririka. I got a lot of fun ideas the day I saw 12 Hololive talents (13, if you count Fuwawa and Mococo separately) get together for Mario Kart about a week and a half ago. 😄
While I'm on that topic, there was a great moment on Bae's perspective at Koopa Cape (I had to watch Bae's VOD because I was watching FuwaMoco when it was live, and I couldn't hear Bae on FuwaMoco's perspective during this part).
Bae: "Come on, give me Bullet Bill."
FuwaMoco: **runs over Bae with a Bullet**
Bae: **gasps** "Not like that."
