when I lay on the floor, on a mat I feel pain in my lower spine/coccyx etc. It feels like it is being squeezed by a vise grip. It is fine when I am standing or sitting (though I feel pressure there when sitting) but laying on my sides causes pain like I described. Would these help? For some inexplicable reason my doctor hasn't ordered an xray yet so I am going to the chiropractor who will order them. That said, I am trying very hard to figure out what is causing this and what stretches or exercises I can use to help with this. I do not know if this exercise will help or hurt the current issue.

You don’t work all the time I went to a chiropractor when I was in my teens and my back is still messed up. I had no read reason and no hurts in my back at all until afterwards. I saw him for about five sessions and that was enough.

It’s a symptom of central (core) instability. There are many reasons but primarily due to prolonged poor postures and lack of activity/exercise.

Another awesome video. At 4:20, are you also flexing/squeezing the glute? At 7:10, what parts of your body are touching the floor once you’re set? Are your upper thighs touching, or your knees. What I mean is what structural parts of your body are you putting pressure into the floor with? I freaking love these vids.
Good questions: at 4:20 it doesn’t matter how you do it as long as you’re getting the tilt. At 7:10 it’s whatever is touching laying down - depends on your body type. But yes, quads and knees are touching on just about everyone. When you do the tuck, you’re trying to push your pubic bone to the ground. Thanks for the feedback, and glad you enjoy them. So after 12 years of not going to a chiropractor when I used to go all the time. I just went yesterday and he did my neck adjustments in different ways including sitting and when I was laying down. And he did the towel cervical spine adjustment, where you are yanked backwards... Well soon after that I got a headache in my forehead is where it started it felt like but I think it's coming from my neck... And that developed into a migraine and nausea and it's now 4:00 a.m. and I'm watching these videos for comfort... Still with a sick migraine because my neck muscles are so sore. I've literally never had a neck adjustment there like that.... But I don't think I want another.
Im sorry to hear. It sounds like the “dosage” was way too high. I would recommend you call the office to let them know and see how they respond. I would want to know and make it right as the treating clinician.

At least 30 seconds. Do it with perfect form and take a break once that’s broken. Work up to 30sec and if you’re going over 1 min then you need to add more challenge to the exercise, e.g., one-legged bridge.
