Thanks for dropping by.
This channel isn't entirely sure which direction it'll be taking as it travels its way through parts of Asia with the purpose of, well, just seeing the place, and hopefully talking to a few of the people who live there - we'll probably have to eat something along the way as well, I guess.
Most of the content will be simply wandering around the streets of Asian countries giving you my impression of life. and hopefully we'll get the opportunity to talk with some local people from the region.
Thanks again for taking the time for stopping by and taking a look at the channel.
Cheers
Wayne

Gujarat's most famous snack! India.
I'm taken by Ahmedabad local, Hardik, to try Gujarat's most famous snack which has been made by the same family for the past ninety years.
After receiving our order Gujarat's most famous snack owner invites us to sit with him inside as he welcomes us and explains the process of making these famous delights.
We're shown into the kitchen where we see large pans filled with freshly made mounds of Dhokla straight from the oven. We're also shown where enormous leaves are steamed which are used in one of his recipes.
I then wander through Gandhi Road Market talking with locals and meet a wedding dress seller who tells me the price for extravagant wedding attire as I search for a hat.
Eventually I find a stall owner selling hats who I bargain with and successfully purchase a cap to protect my large bald head.

The sweetest food I've ever eaten. India!
zhlédnutí 31KPřed 6 měsíci
On my last day in Udaipur I walk the streets finding three different local dishes with one being the sweetest food I've had since arriving in India, or perhaps the sweetest food I've ever had. On a small street i find a simple local curry served with roti which is very hot and tastes like what you might imagine a typical curry-style food in India might be. It seems to me this dish is an everyma...
Street food paradise. Udaipur, India.

I spend the morning sampling the street food delights of Udaipur, India, where I'm introduced to flavors I've not come across before. At two different street food stands I try a local breakfast-type dish called Dhokla which is a spounge cake topped with a subtle spicey sauce, and Poha a favorite soft sweet and sour rice plate. I also meet a man who helps me push a cart of heavy cement for a wor...

Inside a fort home. People live here!

Today I visit Jaisalmer Fort in India which is the country/'s only living fort, that is, where people actually live inside. A local woman shows me her home. I meet a fabric seller named LLiyas supporting his family, women, children and other community members in his village in a remote part of the desert by selling the blankets, dowry bags, and other woven goods they make. I watch musicians pla...

From my Jodhpur guesthouse I roam the streets and lanes on my way to visit the great fort. On my way I buy some popcorn from a street cart, play a game of cricket with some children, then climb many stairs and a hill to reach the fort. I chat with a man riding a camel and ask how comfortable it is and whether he could see himself for long periods riding through the desert. A group of Indian tou...
I found India's friendliest street.

In Jodhpur I go in search of the famous blue buildings of the city and come across perhaps the friendliest street I’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world where nearly every resident welcomed me with huge smiles and a tremendous welcome. Along the way I get invited into a carpenter’s studio to watch him saw wood, then I stumble across a man selling trombones in a very unexpected area. A man ...
Winging it in India. An epic travel day.

I had a strange travel day traveling from Pushkar to Jodhpur . I have to find the bus stand as I don’t know where it is - I walk asking a number of people for directions along the way and finally get there not sure if I was going in the right direction. Without a map, a bus ticket, or knowing where I was going, I try to get to Jodhpur. While waiting for my first bus a complete stranger pulls up...
Why is this place so cheap? Pushkar.

Today I spent time shopping in the greatest little market I've yet to find anywhere - this is Pushkar, India! I meet and talk with local shop owners, buy a knife from an old lady street seller, I purchase a hand-made cotton paged travel note book, and sample a few of the market’s local foods and sweets. Pushkar market really is a wonderful place to wander almost devoid of other tourists and giv...

I walk around Pushkar Lake in India and witness people bathing, being close to their spiritual roots, feeding the fish and birds that inhabit the area, and absorb life happening along the shoreline of this sacred and holy lake as we wander by. Today I took the cheapest bus I’ve ever ridden from Jaipur to Pushkar taking a bumpy four hours out toward the desserts of Rajasthan after a bit of a confusing time trying to find the right bus. From my hotel in Paharnganj I take a gas powered auto rickshaw ride through the old Delhi with it’s markets, stalls, vendors, cows and many people, to Old Delhi Station to catch a train to Jaipur. After realizing my mistake I manage to get off before it leaves and I eventually find the righ...
Delhi Air Pollution is SERIOUS!

I walk deeper into the Delhi suburb of Paharnganj and talk with locals about Delhi's ongoing air pollution problem and ask how their lives are affected and what measures if any are being taken to address the issue. India first day. I FORGOT MY PASSPORT!

My first day in India didn't have the perfect start as I left my passport at an Airtel counter with a security guard not letting me back into the airport terminal to get it. I then spent an hour and a half walking around...

It’s then a rickshaw ride away from the main tourist area of Thamel when...

Homes in India are small but hearts are big and full of warmness.
I am from Indore. If it happened to be on your travel list, feel free to write. The cleanest city of Indore is known for savories and bazaars.
You've got quite relaxed and easygoing way of presentation which makes your videos interesting to watch. Love them. I am as well overwhelmed by the style of your PLEASANTRIES and POLITENESS.

Poha is NOT RICE .. it’s BEATEN RICE .. so it doesn’t need cooking in water like regular rice .. It’s thin so just a bit of soak / sprinkle of water can make it soft to cook .. also it’s cooked similar as stir fry type method ( it’s called Tadka based cooking locally ) 🙏🏽😎

Hi Eddie. Hotel name is K2. The price was based on a stay of one month and not booked through online sites. Go talk to the owner.
