- I’m a tall guy who is a terrible shopper but need to buy a pair of shorts in Pokhara, Nepal, where most people are half my size - that poses a problem. I find a shop owner who loves cricket but is a ruthless negotiator and a bargaining battle ensues with the help of my Nepalese assistant, Pratima. I lose!
It was a lot of fun. :)
you have the greatest voice and a beautiful attitude Wayne. Happy to discover your channel.
That's really generous of you, BWW. Thanks so much for taking the time to say hi.

Hey, drnazella. Traveling can be really rewarding and fun, opening you up to a lot of new experiences and maybe also allowing you to look back at yourself in some ways as well. I do hope you get the opportunity to see the world as well. Thanks so much for taking the time to say hello.
Got to see your video and i really really like the way you approach people and it amazing to see how politely you disagree, make really great way of negotiation with people.
That's very generous of you, MrSarojkc. Thank you for taking the time to drop by and say hello.
Why do these sales people hold their phone when attending customers? Stick it the pocket and keep your attention with your customer! Lovely shorts.
I may have paid a little too much but I'm happy with them. Thanks so much for stopping by and watching a few of the videos, aryan.
Well, Whyne it doesn’t apply the same everywhere and everything when it comes to bargaining. This time it looks like he didn’t keep much margin to start with so he had limited bargain option. If he had big margin he wouldn’t do this. It wasn’t a big difference between what yo trying to achieve and him but the bottom line is they can’t sell you for a loss, so if this happens you just have to think that must be a good price you got it for. Just be satisfied that you didn’t pay too much or “Oh I should have bargained more”, so it’s good. I can tell you that from watching the video
Hi bob. I needed a pair of shorts and one way or another I was going to leave with a pair - having paid too much or not. I think we have to be careful not to get too caught up about a dollar or two. Thanks for offering your observations.
Really a nice Shopkeeper, Can I get a adress of this Shop, please.
It's in the markets one or two streets over from New Road walking toward Mahendrapul - it's in Prithivi Chowk. Sorry, I don't know the name of the street.
Wayne, I don't understand why you always ask for a price reduction? Is that the case in Australia? Or do they pay the fixed price and no negotiation is possible?
Force of habit after traveling through many countries where bargaining is the norm. There's also the element of providing content for the video.
