I can't find the bus! Jaipur to Pushkar, India.

- Today I took the cheapest bus I’ve ever ridden from Jaipur to Pushkar taking a bumpy four hours out toward the desserts of Rajasthan after a bit of a confusing time trying to find the right bus.
First I had to find the bus station which was a kilometer walk from my guesthouse, then I had to try find the right bus which took talk talking to three different counters and asking numerous people to get some idea of what bus I needed to get on.
One representative whose job it was to announce the busses just before departure told me I had to get a connection and take two busses when my ticket said I had a direct route. This confused things a bit and it took a little working out. I met one young couple also traveling to Pushkar who had a little difficulty finding the right bus as well.
The bus ride to Pushkar took us past lakes, craggy hills, and through a more arid countryside than I’ve been through up until now.
Once arrived in Pushkar I had to find my guesthouse as I had no idea where it was or how to get there. While waiting at Pushkar bus station as I got my bearings, a group of women were engaged in a form of local dance which was a nice introduction.
As an Indian, I thought I had it difficult navigating around NZ where there is little to no public transportation , but it seems just as difficult , if not more, where there are a lot of public transport options , like you see in this video. Stay safe. If you do come to Korea, let me know. Public transport I think is by the far the best in the world.
I guess any new country is going to take a little adjustment in understanding how transport operates, and maybe some places are a little more complicated. You generally find everyone is happy to help you find your way. I'd love to come to Korea, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Wasn't that interesting to see! Two young people perfectly able to sleep sprawled out on the seat without being affected by where they were at all. These two will have many years of budget travel ahead of them, I think. They're made of the right stuff for budget Indian travel for sure!

The owner of the guesthouse had been to a wedding the night before and wasn't home until just before dawn. You may be onto something. lol.
Indian travel is hectic as long as you are not surrendering to chaos. Some positive sides are :-
1) definitely improve your communication skills. And how to deal with peoples.
2) it gives you planning skills
3) after all the planning you will be humbled and understand that help from a stranger and trusting others is a huge thing.
I've found Indian people are always ready and willing to offer you help with directions or advice no matter what you might need. The chaos isn't as hard to get used to as I thought it would be. And as you say, just surrender to it and relax a bit and it works out fine.
Back side seats are the most uncomfortable ones - jerks are on higher side there. Trains should be the first preference, they are very cheap and could be booked online. There is a separate quota for tourists there to make sure you get the ticket.
Yeah, I tend to agree that trains are a better way to travel in India, at least in my experience. I think it's great India rail keeps a tourist quota for us - very considerate.

@@fiascodagama1 yes Kolkata has lots of diversity when it comes to food, culture and traditions.
The commute is better, cheaper. You can also use metro to ply from one place to another and can also visit dakshineswar temple if you wish to by boarding a metro. There is Chinese food market in the morning with various Chinese cuisines to offer on the roadside shops. Hope you enjoy your trip
How was the bus journey
These are local busses on often bumpy roads which might test some people if they're new to it. It can be challenging on long distance busses in India. Some people like myself enjoy this form of travel, others may have found this trip uncomfortable.

Kolkata is a waste of time , i would rather suggest you to go to neighbouring state of Odisha, many places to vlog.
