Incredible Rajasthan, India: Exploring Pushkar & the Camel Fair
Looks like a classic, fascinating Indian event, so much to see and do. Enjoy Gabe!
Definitely. It was amazing....and now that the crowds have gone, it's sooooo nice and peaceful here. :)
Indigo Traveller iam your big fan bro😊😊
There must have been lots more Livestock (Camels 🐫 , Horses 🏇 etc) but they sold out in first few day of the fair and went to Villages.
I have to make it to India someday soon. I love your videos of India it's such a unique country and I just haven't seen a place like it in all my travels.
India for me was equal parts amazing and challenging. The markets are crazy, the traffic is chaotic, the food is freaking great, the history is a walk through time. Get to India, and you will wonder why you haven't gone so much sooner.
No way, Chris Brown, is it really you!?
This part of India underwent invasion
Chris Brown ... come over anytime, you will find it all here from first class places to filthy places!
Peace, love, light ❤️
This video is amazing, love it, the camels, and the women.
2nd video I've watched from India 🇮🇳 today and the people are so friendly. Not suggesting that I didn't think they would be, but they seem incredibly friendly. Great vlog, one of my favourites!
Yes and I observed that the Police and or Military Do Not carry side arms or handcuffs, etc. Enjoy the music and so much respect for India.
HighSpeedNoDrag Lebanon is another civilized country compared to america even. Some people must come to america and think WTF this place is like a war zone.
Thanks for your insight.
Great videos from India, so fascinating, colorful&chaotic at the same time. Love it :)
Awesome video, once again :)
Now this was a cool video Gabriel ! But Oh the humanity !
excuse me, come again?
Great video! 🐪 🐫
wow this place looked so lively! i love how the people wear such colorful clothes, really creates a great vibe :D
The captions added improve your video. Definitely good video, Gabe. You don't see videos like this on CZcams. Amazing!
Aquarian Christianity ..💛it!
Excellent!!!...you are good...the shot at 11:52 of the camel is epic...subbed!
Awesome view from that hill, Gabe...:-)
Brilliant video and another brilliant shirt. Some views too.
Awesome, appreciate it.
cool video!!
Nice portraits of the various people. I like the striking orange fabrics. Very vibrant. Thanks Gabe.
Thanks for sharing this is the first place I want to visit in India
Good video. It's a way of life and traditional culture. Real.😊👍
That Farris wheel was flying at 6 mins. That's nuts.
That fair reminded me of a county fair back home in the states. Minus the camels of course. Trippy to see the similarities. Thanks for the vid.
Cool. I'm in India right now on a little adventure.
Right on man. It's always an adventure in India.
I'm going to the camel fair this year.. can't wait!
Sweet, it will be super interesting for sure. If you have time head out to Jaisalmer.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos flying to Jaisalmer from Delhi.. then Jodphur, Udaipur, Pushkar and then Jaipur and back to Delhi by train or bus. First time to India!
Maybe I can do that next year! Hope to begin my journey in a couple of weeks, starting in Mexico. Would never have considered India except for your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Steven Walter definitely try it out man... it will be a lifetime experience for you
Pauses are excellent.
Thanks.
perfect thanks
You know I've watched a lot of videos on travel India is the only one that's not my cup of tea so thanks for the info
Oh yeah 😊
hi
hello welcome to india
i view your all videos so very nice .
Sucks you can see the govt corruption at the lowest levels, you know India has the money to pick up garbage and pave roads but they cant even do that in the smallest of towns. I hope India can treat its people much better by giving them the lowest of comforts like trash free streets and paved roads sad they cant even do that.. The people are the heart and soul of that nation and deserve better!!
I 100% agree.
I dont mean to get political but that is so obvious of mass corruption. Anyways your vids are sooo much better than any history class I have taken you ever thought of trying out for the Amazing race you could win it easily and a million bucks!
Is that show still going? I used to watch it years and years ago. Fun stuff.
Gabe, you really need to get on the Amazing Race. Not only would you have a great chance of winning, you would increase your followers 10 fold. Other seasons have had You Tubers, so there is no reason they should deny you. Go for it my friend.
yes welcome to India
Good video
The food of India, the desert food,I remember it was so strange, but it was fresh and good, actually,no gmo's or any other shit, all grown on gwano ,I have a dish of nan and some 4 different pastes-beans and some stuff,-delicious.India is fantastic place,-the dessert region, and the people are nice too. TH
Thank you..
You learned from your experience in Bogotá that's good 👍
Wow best
Just missed you I left Pushkar for Kota this day.
you are brave enough to walk with camera on street👍
very nice fantastic...amazing pushkar shoot..can you please which camera model you have used for this shoot?
Thanks, I filmed this with the GoPro Hero 5.
Saludos desde México.
You need to do road trip to Udaipur via Kota, bundi.
You will definitely enjoy bundi and Kota . Especially Kota it's not so famous among travellers but it's damn beautiful .
this is one of your best videos...despite we missed them camels 😆
enjoyed it. are you stayin in India for a while?
Not sure how long I'll stay in India, taking it a week at a time. Maybe stay a month or so but that's just a guess.
Gabriel Traveler Earlier you travelled India in Months, but now in Weeks
When will you come to Kolkata ??
very nice palace I am living in pushkar
Camels are so cool, in the deserts they rule. What a funny face.
Ironic that there would be more camels before the festival than during the actual event, but like they say, timing is everything 😜
Gabriel....visit the Government Camel sanctuary in Bikaner to see thousands of camels of different varieties..
ny wyz, liked ur videos as always. good luck mate
I went to the Bikaner camel festival a few years ago, it was really cool. It was in the dunes outside of the city and they were racing camels and horses. I liked it better than the Pushkar camel fair actually, it was less crowded and chaotic and a nicer setting.
oh..thats nice...enjoy your trip and thanks for the reply :)
I forgot how mad India can be and just so many people there are around you all the time.
Gab I just changed my travel plans after watching this vid...so great...was going to Jodhpur, now going here from Jaipur...what time do they start the singing in the evening by the lake? I don't want to miss it
Keep in mind this was during the camel fair which only happens once a year around early November. But Pushkar is still definitely worth visiting at other times of year.
Thanks I know....purely by luck I will arrive on the 1st day of the fair this November...thanks Gab
Pushkar is a pure veg town, its hard even to find eggs.A dude tried to cook a chicken once, was chased out a town!
C that mountain?snake mountain its called, met a guy climbed it got bitten by a viper, fffffed his leg up.
👍❤
Gabriel great work, how about Africa or Middle East?
Middle East is isis and muslim country no peaceful enjoy than india ok
You need to visit Punjab/ Chandigarh
Gabe, your climbing a pyramid. Built at least 40,000 years ago I would say from the looks but I would have to know the exact position to guess further.
Love your india videos. I really want to visit but I am scared about food poisoning.
Just think of how lucratively wonderful it could have been if you had just pursued further your interest in the subject of WORLD STUDIES (earned a PHD) and became a DIGNIFIED U.S. AMBASSADOR to some foreign nation, Gabe.
3:14 I see a Dutch here!
you are in Rajasthan
so come at Jaipur 😋😋😋
I was in Jaipur before, see this video: czcams.com/video/jdlyfz947WU/video.html
Gabriel Traveler You did not do this right. You went to Jaipur and you did not even tell me😟😟😟
why u do that

Gabe arrived direct into Jaipur from out of country and also spent a couple of days and made few vids!
Gabriel Traveler I also subscribe u 😀
Good im rajasthani
wow!..for the long haired gorgeous u on camel!💛
..jz wondering bout those "holding hands guys" (????!!!)..and are those religious rituals done everyday?!
..surely u enjoyed every bit of ur trip out there--an interesting india!!!
The men holding hands is a bit odd for us from the west, but it's pretty normal in India. It's just a friendship thing, homosexuality in India is discouraged in the extreme. The rituals there were part of the fair so I don't think those same ones are performed every day. Some of them, like the aarti ceremony on the Ganges river in Rishikesh do happen every day.
Are some on hash? Some look a little bit burnt you think?
5:48 do you know anything about that style of clothing? Is that traditional Rajasthan garb for men?
👍
Man you should visit the northeast states of India specially ..shillong ..cherrapunji. darjelling.nagaland ..manipur.sikkim
people visit there for tourism only.. it is other thing that the mainland Indian people are afraid and prefer to go to Agra and rajasthan and maybe the most shimla and uptil Goa in south.
there are lots of travel blogs where u can see about the northeast states. it's a place very few people have been and it's much more reasonable and friendly then other parts of India .moreover this are Christian state and there are winter state festival like hornbill and Shanghai festival that are held in a big way.
Have you ever been to Armenia? Or Caucasus in general?
Gabriel Traveller , I want to globe trek just like you. I have a property here in Southern California, I am planning on renting it out to make passive income, I also work online, so as long as I have a computer I can work from anywhere. Maybe we should link up and travel together. I am 33 years old, male.
I am also curious about how you pull out money in these countries, do you do it through ATM’s or do you open bank accounts in the countries you visit?
Any info would be so helpful. Thank you in advance
Un-Urbanize n' Turban POWER, GAB!!
Adhiparasakthi goddess blessings
Pushkar 🐫 camel festival
[Om sakthi parasakthi]
[Om Kali jai kali]
in India if you ask someone's permission then you will be denied always, better if you don't ask them ! i faced that issue several times, just dont ask anybody
It's like you didn't age at all since that picture in 1999 o.O
What do you call the music at around 12:00 onwards? Specially that deep sounding horn. Thanks
Hi, music info is always listed in the description, just check below the video.
Gabriel Traveler cool man, appreciate it
No problem.
you should go haryana and punjab state also
Haryana and punjab has nothing interesting except fiels and golden temple
watch again!🤗🤗🤗
..isoooloveindia--those attractive sahrees and gorgeous faces--both men\women..the weirdness..the faith--everything is interesting!!!😍😍😍
😚😚😚❤❤❤
I love You India
5:16 how much would a fruit juice cost in India. Do love these types of videos. Seems hectic to me
The fresh juice there was 90 rupees or about $1.50.
Gabriel Traveler from memory a fruit mango shake in Jomtien Thailand cost 30baht or around a $1. Surprised it was so much
You can get it cheaper all depending on the location.
do you have the indian music soundtrack? thanks
Music info is always listed in the description below the video. Click "Show more" and then scroll down a little ways.
Amazing. Doing my best to drive up your income stream ~ clickin' all your videos :) What's up with the purple kids made up like a Hindu God?
I know it's a bit of a cheesy request but I would pay gold doubloons to see a video of you getting a cosmic head massage from Baba seeing as you're in Pushkar.
Thanks man, appreciate it! I keep forgetting about those head massages. Tomorrow is my last day here and I plan to take it easy, we'll see what happens.
Finn Agler not just clickin but watch full as watch time is important not views nowadays
Your immune system must've adapted to the microbes and bacteria from going so much. I'm always wary about people who serve food with no gloves I wonder where there hands have been but its seems you even overcame that. They can bathe in the Ganges/Yumani river and come out unscathed including yourself. Its impressive.
I wished that Gabriel had put on a red turban just like those guys we saw in the video. I really want to see him in a red turban.
Here I'm wearing a white one: czcams.com/video/sYCj2lxG5HM/video.htmlm46s
@Gabriel well that's not exactly a turban but it's close enough.. Some day I hope to see you in a real Rajasthani style turban.
Your videos and travels totally de-stress me I Swear.
Gabe could be in a middle of a war zone and make it look peaceful.
Yes indeed and he is a Teacher and so much more to say...............
What were the guys in big red turbans .
Is that some profession ,Status, or just style ? Wonder if anyone watching knows
I really don't know, but my guess is desert dwelling camel traders from some small village in Rajasthan.
@Keith, India is such a diverse country...each state has its own clothes style, food etc...The traditional turbans you saw men wearing can be usually seen in two states of India (Gujarat & Rajasthan) where you still see old village men and men from certain community wear those traditional turbans. Also you might be interested in googling up "sikh turban" which is another turban worn by men who follow the Sikh religion.
I don't think they were Sikhs, Sikhs have a different style and also live in a different region. I don't think this is the sort of event Sikhs would generally go to, way out of their home territory. Not sure though.
Speaking of turbans...on every year during the Pushkar fair the fair organizers hold turban tying event where tourists (mainly from the western countries) participate in the event where ladies tie turban to their male companions. Also it is not common for some tourist ladies to wear turban for a fashion statement or they just want to see try it for a while...Indians are very liberal about it and will not judge or cause a scene if ladies wear men clothing. I even saw one lady with a turban in this video.
ball keith That is a typical Rajasthani traditional wear not for status not for style it is being used since ages . They are not sikh and there isn't that big sikh Population in India anywhere except Punjab .
The smells (aroma? scent? stench?) must be overpowering...
Yes.
Added bling to the camels to make them prettier
Exactly.
I watched this video in 2023!
Sweet.
Camel fair 1989,me.
*I am totally ignorant of Indian culture. I have a real question, I am not being sarcastic or offensive. I am watching this and I am wondering, are those men gay/homosexuality or are the men really affectionate in that culture??? (Real question)*
Fair question. It's not homosexuality, just a friendship thing, common to see in India. Definitely takes a little getting used to. Strangely, men and women aren't supposed to be openly affectionate in public, but the same sexes can be.
Thanks.
@Victor, it's not a gay thing in that part of the world to see two guys holding hands in public. Some guys like to hold hands to show the brotherhood/ friendship thing but you will see that very little.
In India friends normally roam by holding hands or putting hands on each other shoulder . That not mean they are gay. Basically it shows they are good friends or to show brotherly gesture.
Ankur Singh , its the same in Italy. Men walking arm in arm or an arm across the shoulder. In America the 'no touch ' rule still persists.
.
This is a place where Rajput rules
there's so much going on, it's really a sensory overload.
Exactly, that's India on a regular basis.
you look really cool 10:30
Do they still bathe and do laundry in the rivers?
Yes, the rivers and lakes.
Barbara Schupp Yes people bath in holy rivers. Though laundry is probhited but still people do it.
The Ganges is so polluted you can light it on fire.
Barbara Schupp India is too big too judge on that
Yes you will see it all here from royalty to poverty!
Enjoyed wathing. Watching only. No plan to go.
there are limits in chaos i can endure. For now, i like remote places in more popular destinations. Haven"t been to SE Asia yet. Will do it first. Beside, there are things that seemed fascinating when young and innocent that are losing interest when getting a bit older with some experiences. Curiosity ain< t as strong and easy traveling and living gets more appealing than strugling in deep shit.If i have too for a short while, its fine but i"m not looking for it .What counts at the end of the day is the fun i had and the one i will have in the night.
IM 48 IN UK..F I HOPE I GET TO BE IN INDIA BEFORE THEIRS NO REAL INDIA LEFT..Xx
What did that kid represent or what? 12.25
Walter Hernandez he is dressed as shiva one of the supreme deities of hindus
I thought it was a cosplay
Gabriel have you visited Pakistan or plan to?
I haven't been there yet.
You ended this video so abruptly!!
2:18 is men holding hands a cultural thing, or is Rajasthan just less socially conservative than other parts of India? 😏
It's definitely a friendship thing. Rajasthan is actually known for being particularly culturally conservative.
The way you present the India is not so admirable, needs proper footage tnx.
Why stay in India for so long - the poverty, disease and heat - how can one stand it
Sad to say ....what a totally desolate country it looks like ... and I always wanted to go there ...
Believe me, this video does not do Pushkar justice at all. It is a beautiful place. Have a look at videos other people have made of their visits to places in India. (I recommend that you look at those on the channel 'Track Jack'.) Please don't be put off going to India. There is nowhere else like it on earth. And it is anything but desolate. I wasn't that taken by New Delhi, but everywhere in Rajasthan stole my heart. And most people who go there feel the same.
India is totally diverse and everything changes every 100 miles. You can't ever judge this whole country by one place.
What a filthy place.
Life is Filthy.
There is no comparison.
No, there IS no comparison. I have been to Pushkar, and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. You don't really see that in this video, but it is a wonderful place, I can assure you. (Have a look at some other videos of Pushkar and you will see that.) I have travelled in 13 different countries across three continents, and Rajasthan was the most amazing, vibrant and mesmeric place I have ever been. It captured my heart in a way that I would find difficult to put into words, and it affects most of the people who go there in the same way. By contrast, I have been to Scandanavian countries where I never saw a piece of litter, and everything worked like clockwork, but they were rather dull places. Give me the beautiful chaos of India any day, with its warm, friendly people. Yes, India has its problems, but it is an incredible place.
have you ever been to Detroit?
Nicola Figini am an Indian nd i dnt no from which country u r ....... but i am amazed to find out how *deeply u hv understood and loved our ppl* with ur positive thinking.
