This flyover will soon take the traffic congestion to HSR and all the way till Marathahalli and further. The situation today is already worse with even the slow moving traffic in the Silk board junction (entire stretch - even before ragigudda metro). It's going to be a nightmare once silkboard to ragigudda flyover is open - while the situation today is already worst.
In my view all A, B and C ramps will hold vehicles on flyovers (like any other flyovers)
Issues are bad road conditions and worst conditions on flyovers after HSR.
Road humps must be removed, minimizing the deviations that can be taken by vehicles competing for service lanes.
Bus and any other vehicles stopping to be regulated on either side of the flyover (all flyovers).
Route buses must be regulated - not to ply on these busy areas, waiting for one to five passengers causing issues for thousands on the road. Instead private bus association may arrange one bus to pickup all passengers to a common point instead of each private bus owner plying individual buses waiting for passengers - while all participating in traffic and no one moving.
Request DH to review these comments carefully and publish so that the authorities take appropriate action.
We are commuting to work regularly - irony is commuting itself has become a big work.
Why there is a race between BMTC? Who is setting race as a goal between buses while their goal must be to carry passengers only. Why all bus stops are in a spot causing other vehicles to wait causing jam?
Note: Straight roads will help move the traffic easily. If uneven roads are built and left for usage, each vehicle takes turns in a degree that causes problems for traffic movement. Better to tie a rope, make the narrow road available for a long distance instead of allowing 45 to 90 degree deviations! Simple engineering that many are not trying to solve - though easy instead of building infrastructure which causes more and more issues all the time.

Honestly speaking Silk board junction is improved from what it was few years ago.
Government/BBMP and media as well should now focus on Madivala to Nexus/Forum Mall signal, as this is notorious during peak time and takes around 40mins to cross. Also Hebbal flyover as well (from airport to City). During peak times, takes around 1hour or more to just cross the flyover.

People are using 2w to commute instead of 4w even though they can afford unlike west. That reduces lot of traffic. The main problem with this junction is it obstructs free flow of traffic which this flyover aims to solve. Hopefully, people use metro for commute when ready. Last mile connectivity should be included in metro ticket.

Without this comprehensive solution even if one signal is blocking on the route then it can cause bottle necks from the banashankari busstand to agara. At banashankari the flyover/underpass should be constructed for those who want to go to banashankari nagar or padmanabhanagar.

Bangalore has the best of busses within city. Only thing they need to improve is frequency and timetable. No other state has so many busses for public transport.
People just want to show off their cars on the road. Especially IT employees go to office in a suv while being alone. Then complain that they have too much traffic. If all employees go to office in 2 wheelers or pool(Indian sentiment will not allow this) this will reduce traffic by 30%. Some companies do not provide cab facilities as well as it is cost for them and bad for business. I can take names of such companies if someone challenges me. Also, WFO is made compulsory atleast for 3 days. Whereas before lockdown also these companies didn't have any fixed WFO days. There was no restriction before on how many days you work from home/office. I think people from govt are forcing companies to make this rule. Collaboration is all bullshit that these companies make up. I know a lot of them who just go to office, swipe and come back. This will just increase revenue for govt. Vehicle registration, rent, property taxes. Growing city= more investments= more options for corruption= more slaves. I have no shame in telling that Bangalore will be home of the homeless and rowdies in future.

Some routes/junctions that need immediate fix (5 years ago😂):
    1. Hebbal junction needs on/off ramps for all 4 directions
    2. Marathahalli bridge is designed very badly, need clover leaf or similar ramps for traffic to go in all 4 directions...the Kalyan mandir route is classic example of no future planning.
    3. Old airport road from HAL till varthur needs 3+3 lan flyovers touching down at strategic locations.
    4. Building any roads with 2+2 lanes is a big big mistake. Either expand the ORR or add flyovers on top with at least 3+3 or 4+4 lanes.
    5. Metro network needs to complete asap and bmtc bus count should at least triple from the current 6000 buses.

I hope all 600 series BMTC will use this ramp to turn right at silk board towards Hosur road .. during peak hours the jam often goes for 30mins+

I think I saw a height restriction barrier, so buses won’t go on the flyover.

We are transforming the traffic from one junction to another junction... we need more wide roads and clear exits and more over everyone should follow the traffic rules..

Man I Hope this flyover opens along with the yellow line metro by January at least. Will take a lot of traffic/people away from the junction, and save time for me.
I'll have to travel from Bellandur to Koramangla for well clubbing hahaha and it's a sad thing that we have to spend so much time in traffic : /

Ragigudda ramp entrance and exit is small and has a signal immediately where road becomes narrow. It will create bottleneck traffic. Also HSR exit has a singal too within 250m and will cause lot of traffic jam.

When the original 1st phase of the metro was planned, my daughter was doing her 1st year of engineering. We stayed in Basawanagudi. I used to tell my daughter that, when she finishes her engineering in 2006, I would come to the blr station to receive her and from there take a metro to reach Basawanagudi. Because that was the original time line. My daughter, completed her engineering, got a job, worked for two years, and did her MBA and got married too . Yet the route was nowhere in sight. That 1st route opened somewhere in 2012 , I think. So, given the repeated time lines and missing timelines, Bengaluru is permanently going to see traffic jams in one place or the other.

Need similar setup at KR Puram. To go from Mahadevpura to TC Palya signal requires a large U-Trun from Bennigahalli metro station for cars and heavy vehicles. That's around 2km of drive in heavy traffic of railway station and Tin factory. An underpass or bridge directly from Lowry memorial collage to down-ramp of KR Puram hanging bridge can be a solution.

It definitely will ease the traffic for current population.
The problem will when this is solved more people move in, increasing the traffic again.

Hi congrats for making a excellent video which is very informative. However even though the the travel time gets reduced to few minutes between Raghigudda and Silk Board, it will be a big bottle neck at the exit in both sides.

This is a good . However merging at Hosur road will be challenge. The service road will be clogged by user coming from HSR side. This may trigger the ripple backlog on flyover. This need a dedicated lane for connecting to EC flyover.

      Congress idea are worst .
      they stopped NICE ROAD PROJECT.
They even stopped peripheral ring road for 3 to 4 decades .
Instead of new bangalore n 3 more ring road, the Congress wants only old bangalore.
they will squeeze another 2+ crore population in this same old bangalore.
      uther nonsense n newsense.

This will help to an extent. Unless the eastbound 270 degree down ramp towards Electronic city and East ring road have dedicated lanes onto the Ring road and Electronic city on-ramp, the traffic will back up onto the flyover itself.

  • @sdk.96
    @sdk.96 Před 17 dny

Great work on the express way, but all the traffic is going to get logged in the ramp exits.
You should have possibly connected the ramp to the electronic city flyover for those who want direct access to reduce the merging and diverging.
But anyway better than nothing. Great work

  • @seetharamsnkasinadar5066

Hopefully it will provide some relief once it is fully functional. Need to maintain them nicely for full benefit and longer life. Few of the flyovers & underpass are not maintained well. You will always experience bumpy ride on top of flyovers with the feel of sagging bridge...

BTW can the BMRCL take over the Ejipura flyover 😀?

  • @praneethmopuri7022
    @praneethmopuri7022 Před 16 dny

If the entry to ramp at BTM layout wasn’t included, there was a slight hope of congestion reduction, but now, I don’t think it will be any different. Because the vehicles going towards Electronic City joining the ramp at BTM, will cross the traffic moving towards HSR, and maybe the jam is inevitable again.
Also, it will be interesting to see how the congestion will be while exiting the ramp towards HSR. But yes, excited for the opening of this ramp!
