Is Kathmandu Dangerous?

- I wander the back lanes of Kathmandu city watching daily life and give my thoughts on whether I believe Kathmandu to be a dangerous city and how I find Nepalese people in general.
The day begins with a head shave from a very efficient barber named, Pappu, who gives me the full head massage treatment and refreshing cologne.
It’s then a rickshaw ride away from the main tourist area of Thamel when the rickshaw breaks down and needs a quick repair before we’re on our way again
We see men playing chess and other games as well as families going about their lives in the small lanes of the city.
A man stops me in the street after recognizing me from CZcams which is the first time that has happened to me since uploading videos and we have a brief chat.
It’s then a walk back into the main tourist area where we find the chaos of Kathmandu alive and well after the relief of the quieter areas of Kathmandu.
A great day.

Kathmandu, Nepal in general, is really safe and friendly. Specially for tourists. As a local I've never felt unsafe even at off hours. Good to see you having a positive experience.
You live in a culture many could learn a great deal from, I think.
Malaii pani, when I came I felt safer than in the UK and no one touched my motorbike and helmet in Pokhara either in tourist areas or local areas where I stood out like a sore thumb 😂
It just made them happier when I spoke Nepali to them as I was trying to be a respectful Gora.
Amazing country and amazing people. Makes me embarrassed to be white British sometimes 🙄👍🇳🇵🇬🇧
@@stever456 Glad you felt safe and enjoyed yourself. However, let me state that when I lived in the UK (Newcastle & Stoke) I never had a bad experience and it was the 'gora' who were always nice and friendly.
@@nirakarpokhrel7968 👍 I think it just amazed me the first time out of the UK in 49 years being in a foreign country which can look a bit daunting and find no problems.
You will find more drunks and beggars in Derby and Nottingham than in Patan Durbar square and we are supposed to be a richer nation 🙄🙄👍🥰🇳🇵🇬🇧
