I don't understand Star Wars fans. You're all quite the enigma. How do you consider yourself a fan of a franchise where only 3 of the 9 films are any good? 33% lol. And the shows? 2 of them are good but one of those 2 is quite a stretch and the other you should have stopped watching once Carano was fired. None of you would read an entire 9 book series if only 3 were good. I think you're all more fans of making fun of how terrible SW is than actual fans of the franchise. You love trainwrecks and all the takedown videos people create. You love complaining about how shit Disney and SW is. But fans of the franchise itself? Nah.

One criteria, and one criteria only, defines if a project is successful to the investors who pour multi millions into that project. Will it make money? Are people willing to part with dollars, at a theater, or by supporting a channel like Disney +? If yes, then it's successful. If not, it's a failure. Kennedy and her ilk can make bogus remarks as they wish. It just deepens the divide between those who view it as an artistic, brave endeavor, and the rest of unwashed, unappreciated public.

The simple facts are: Disney claims that DEI will lead to a larger fan base and greater profits. And that has not been the case so far.

I don't know if Acolyte is good or bad, I unsubscribed from Disney+ after a long cycle of below expectation seasons of Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Ben Kenobi and the last season of the Mandalorian. The only thing they have made that was good was early Mandalorian and Andor. I will sub for one month when season 2 of Andor is done and I will binge watch it and unsub again. Criticism of Disney and their Star Wars content isn't really just about those who are in Acolyte specifically, it is about the quality of the content as a whole, regardless who has been involved, the other shows weren't woke but they were still shit. The woke stuff just gets traction from the culture war social media warriors on both sides of the spectrum and Mark has nothing better to do with his time than get involved with that shit so he sees the world through the lense he has fashioned for himself and is missing the bigger picture. The "fans" are the customers and Disney is the corporation that wants to make money by giving the fans what they want and asking for money in return. Disney can do whatever they like but NOBODY has any right to tell someone else to just accept something you do not like. If you like it then buy it, if you don't then dont and the market will correct itself in time. When Disney asked me why I unsubscribed in a survey I said I didn't like the new Star Wars content outside of Andor or early Mandalorian. I didn't tell them what to make or what not to make, but I did tell them why they lost a paying customer and if they get enough feedback they will lose enough money on these shows that they change direction or stop making them altogether and I think either option is preferable to what I have seen over the years. They are not going to listen to ANY fan options online, the only thing they look at is ratings, subscriptions and why people are unsubscribing. If you want to get your message heard, then unsubscribe and stop hate watching their shows. The reality is, I'd rather nothing than what they are serving up.

We all loved “Luke”, the Character; we respect Mark as a person and Actor in SW, but hearing him attacking the fans of SW and ask us to “shut-up” is a clear lack of respect for those -we the fans- who have made Star Wars great! And lovely. I am referring to the original trilogy of course. It is not Disney Star, Wars Work,it is about voicing our opinión about something we care. A trilogy which impacted a whole generation! Seeing Mark Hamill asking the fans to shut up is like seeing him being a Sith, an Anarquist, an agent of the Empire (metaphor). Silence an educated opinion to make a fool feel ok is not right nor honest. The Star Wars Series the Acolyte and the Star Wars movies are NOT accepted as Star Wars.
