They burned through obscene amounts of money to create a giant vehicle for self aggrandizement based around personal interests. Hmm while for the most part i agree i really would want to See more of Manny Jacinto & Lee Jung-jae. While the dialog they were given was mostly trash, they at least put in convincing performances so far. and can only really work with the dialogue they are given.
I've seen that at least one tv/movie reaction channel is reacting to The Acolyte (I haven't watched any of it, not the show nor the reactions). But that channel follows along with the woke agenda quite a bit.

Disney fires the wrong people. Kennedy and Headland hired the marketing team. They hired the actors and writers. They insisted on the writers meeting their political agenda rather than a creative agenda. Headland insisted that nobody with experience with Lucas' Star Wars be hired. Kennedy and Headland are foolish enough to believe that given a second season the Acolyte would be successful. Neither of these women were Star Wars fans that I know of. Not until these two women are fired will Disney recover. Disney should depend on new movies rather than trying to remake old movies. Star Wars is over unless Lucas comes back.

Never has ANY show at ANY time been guaranteed multiple seasons. The cast might be asked to sign a contract committing THEM to the show for multiple seasons IF the show continues to be successful, but they are NEVER given a contract for what 'might' happen in the future

This should have been rejected on the script alone. The writing is horrendously bad. I mean a 5th grader writing fan fiction could have done a better job. After a few days of this the new owners notice sales abruptly dropping below what the previous owners experienced and begin to wonder why. They change the wording of the menu to exotic-sounding fare but still serve the same slop as opening night--consequently no one shows up. Pay attention Disney, you can package 💩 with all the ribbons and bows you can find but at the end of the day it still smells like 💩.
