Disney hasn't written anything well for a very, very long time. Writing is the LAST thing that Disney considers when packaging their "content." People didn't have any idea how bad Disney was until it got its hands of Marvel and Star Wars but they have been employing awful writers for a very long time. Their focus has been on turning out mass appeal garbage for 13-year-olds. They approach everything in the same manner today. Everything is cheap Disney Channel writing.
