A recent Forbes article showed that the production costs of the 5 Disney Star Wars movies was much higher than thought, and the 5 movies only netted $1.2 Billion - without promotion costs. Take out $400 to $500 Million in promotion and you're at only $700+ Million. Big problem is; the first movie, Force Awakens, made well over half of that total. The last two made zilch, with Solo even losing money. Basically drove the SW movie operation into the ground.
So they paused movies, relegated SW to streaming, and are losing money there.
And Kennedy was going to get a raise? After devaluing Disney's $4 Billion purchased investment of SW?

Why is everyone acting surprised about these people getting bonuses even when failing? This literally happens in all big companies in the world. Golden boys/girls come in, get paid with huge wages and out-of-this world bonuses, leave the companies in a worst position and then jump to the next one. All the mess and crap is left for the small people to work their ass off and fix, while the next golden child gets all the money.
