    I think we are fishing for answers and just coming very short on legends characters being cannon now. Darth Plaegus being in the show is so out there that we would be extremely disappointed if this doesn't happen. If the dark lord of the sith is tenebrus then this would make perfect sense.

    • @coruscantcourier

      The reason we believe that Plagueis is more likely than Tenebrous is simply just because of the timeline. Palpatine will be born in 47 years and we know that Plagueis dies at nearly 120 years old. So based on the timeline we really need it to be Plagueis or they are just going to need to expand his lifespan significantly. Tenebrous being this young at this point seems more of a problem than a solution. But, you very well may be right. These are all simply theories and we really won't know anything until tonight

    I hope they aren't trying to make Vernestra into Lumiya. In the Legends Books, Lumiya was one of the Emperor's Hand assassins like Mara Jade but she was secretly being trained by Vader to be his "Shadow Hand" assassin and becomes a key antagonist to Luke Skywalker and the Republic after the fall of the Galactic Empire.
    Turning her into a surprise Sith villain during a time period where the Jedi aren't supposed to know the Sith still exist is a waste of her character/legacy. It'll be even worse if it turns out the Jedi had a Sith on the council during this time and not one of them knew about it or remembers it 75 years later.

    I'm personally finding it hard to believe that Qimir is Darth Plagueis based on the context the show has given us, Qimir isn't very secretive like a sith at this time, and in ep 6 he said he was thrown away both by the jedi and sith, so I believe he could be the first knight of ren, but I do like this theory of Vernestra Rwoh being Lumiya, and I am inclined to believe Qimir was an apprentice to Vernestra Rwoh

  • @station7thedoor

    I think I’ve decided that Venestra is Qimir’s former Jedi master, but is not a Sith. She’s just a corrupt Jefi. I don’t think a Sith would be able to actually infiltrate the Jedi order to that degree. We have never seen a Jedi go Sith, but remain in the order undetected. I am pretty sure their lightsaber would turn red. I suspect that Plageus will be the Sith lord, even though the timeline doesn’t make sense, because they want to tie it in with the prequels.

    @chrismorris5615 Před 9 dny

    I dont think Vernestra is going to be the sith lord, I do think she was Qimir's Jedi Master I think that much is apparent with the scars. It is strange for a Jedi to use a whip though, I would think this would be very looked down upon. A whip is designed to inflict pain, and its deceptive, both things that dont really follow Jedi code, you can argue a whip can be used for other things like indiana jones style but not so much with a lightsaber whip :) It is purple though, so we know she at least straddles the dark side at times, perhaps when she fights such as Mace. I think its possible your theory about Qimir being plagues, he did have body transference abilities and that is were palpatine learned it from. In the Dark Empire graphic novel in legends palpatine manages to get into a clone of his, luke confronts him and gets totally dominated and Leia has to come save him. So that idea is possible, it is strange how he says it was a really long time ago. I hope it ends up being Qimir is just a disgruntled dude who doesnt like the Jedi or Sith and wants his own way and path and that includes a disciple and partner. I get the idea Qimir wants something more, and he doesnt care for the Jedi's lack of caring for each other, because of their lack of attachment the Jedi never love or give themselvs to a another person completely. I dont think he likes the sith because they also have little attachment for each other, and the sith relationship always ends the same way. In essence Qimir is more balanced than either the Jedi or the Sith the way he comes across, he certainly has no attachments to his enemy's and wont play by Jedi rules, and is totally fine with letting his emotions give him power in the force, but he also has abit of softness and compassion to him and he was able to heal Mae( a power we have only ever seen from Rey and Kylo so far). He is a very interesting character and the one real brightspot to this crappy show.

      @coruscantcourier  Před 14 dny

      That's what we don't know per se. Since Plagueis could possess bodies, we get the idea that he takes their life force - hence his ability to continue to live.
      You ask a good question. The timeline is why we don't think he's Tenebrous. If this was 50 years earlier it'd be likely

    • @reyasyaN
      @reyasyaN Před 14 dny +1

      @coruscantcourier I think I am falling on the side of it's the First Knight of Ren. The Kylo Ren theme playing 3x already in the series. But this is the first argument for Plagueis that has made sense and at least even address he is a Muun. So kudos there. You earned a follow.

      Regarding the Knights of Ren theory, we actually think it's unlikely a Knights of Ren origin. Rather, we believe it's a hint at force healing. Qimir heals Osha is what we think they're suggesting, just as Kylo healed Rey.
      It COULD be Knights of Ren, don't get us wrong, but they had so little screen time and the sequels were so poorly received that it doesn't make complete sense it would be them. But we're eager to find out! You might be right

    If this is the case, then it demonstrates that Disney is a worse writer than I am, and I just do fan fiction. You see: I write *original* stories that at worst hint at things that are established. I don't just up and steal characters from here and there without respect to them.
    The series concept had a lot of promise and to create something original. Now: that promise has been squandered - the series is really, really bad. The only thing I can say to its credit so far is that it does seem to be original ... for the most part. If Qimir is actually Darth Plagueis ... if Vernestra is Lumiya ... then Disney is just stealing bits and pieces from much better writers then themselves to cobble together something far more amateur than the RP sessions I run.
    The difference between us: Disney writers get paid to churn out crap, while I try to create and encourage good stories for free.
