Since they made princess Leia fly in space without any protective clothing or equipment i lost whatever appetite was left in me.
I am NOT defending the Last Jedi (I almost vomited when watching it in the cinema), but TBH Leia wasn't 'flying' in space. When you use the Force to pull a large or immovable object (e.g. a tree, or a huge ship in space), physics dictates that you instead will be pulled towards that object.
There are far worse things about that movie though (e.g. Holdo's actions and the hyperspace ram plus all the unfunny gags).

He KNOWS what George's vision and world were meant to be. My Uncle told me all about his work as I was a child and I learned quite a bit about Star Wars (special effects) that others may not know... and WE, the fans, don't understand Star Wars?

If Episode 7 was the Jedi's perspective of Episode 3 using the "Rashomon" style of storytelling, then it failed. Why? Because in the film "Rashomon" the same event witnessed by all four characters played out completely different for each character. Episode 7 was basically Episode 3 with deleted scenes added.

When you get in over your head, and fail so spectacularly, after being lauded in a smaller arena, this kind of delusional wall building is how the mind protects itself. Delusional is one thing, but soul-crushing depression at the reality that you did a terrible job is a worse kind of illness IMO. I feel bad for the talented (female/male/non/whatever) writers and directors WHO DIDN't GET THERE SHOT BECAUSE HEADLAND WAS 'ELEVATED'.

The Acolyte was made not just for women, but for a small minority of women -- LGBTQ++ women, who probably make up about 0.5 % of Star Wars fans. In other words, it's a niche product. It's not at all surprising the ratings are what they are.

I would like to clarify that this is incorrect: it’s not a repeat of episode 3, it’s a different perspective of the events where we see everything that actually occurred that the girls weren’t privy to.
While it definitely has some pretty glaring.. frustrating problems, it does have a bright spot in that there is actually action in this episode where there was absolutely none in ep. 3
The story elements aren’t “good.” In fact it makes the witches look even more unhinged and violent than before. But it did something I didn’t think we’d see: Kelnacca actually do something.
Now headland trying to say Anakin being born from the force isn’t really all that special? Yeah she’s just full of cope and resentment that her two boring twins will NEVER be as important as Anakin to the story of Star Wars.
