- Ever since the Acolyte episode 5 released and failed to reverse the backlash...one major development now has more to do with the acolyte firings situation and what has been going on with leslye headland, kathleen kennedy, bob iger and the disney heads as the blame game begins for the acolyte series on disney plus. This all comes in the wake of the acolyte rotten tomatoes score failing to show any sign of recovery after episode 5 was described as the best episode with Amandla Stenberg according to leslye headland.

It’s not Lucas film per se it’s Disney trying to gather new fans through pandering failing to recognize its Gen X and their families who’ve been the backbone of support. We just want good stories but any movie mogul with experience could see making a movie with a producer whose politics are going to infiltrate everything they do, producer who doesn’t know or love the genre, actors who have no understanding or love the genre, bad acting, producing and trying to change the established story was going fail. Fail and fail spectacularly as it did.

I'd say the books are definitely worth looking into, cant remember which for the life of me but I recall there being one movie from about a decade ago that when people cracked open the cash flows on it's absurdly high budget found its production was acting as a slush fund for foreign governments to finance American election campaigns. Considering how openly 'politically active' Disney has become and how overinflated the budgets are becoming, it wouldn't surprise me to find out they have some of that earmarked as 'political donations'.
They need to fire Kennedy and the director of Acolyte and send a message that we want to be entertained not preached to. Then directors afterwards will make sure they prioritized entertainment over propaganda

Not sure that deciding not to create a spinoff, and thus not needing certain cast members qualifies as a firing. Aren't the overwhelming majority of actors and actresses contract workers anyway.
For how bad every aspect of this show has turned out to be….. I’m starting to think Disney purposely made a trash show for investors and share holders to quietly dump Disney stocks in a stealth like manner, as to not cause panic in the stock market before the great stock market crash/collapse. I just want another Ahsoka season. I think there is something really interesting in the pipeline. However, I have only watched the hair cutting scene and the power of one, two, the power of maaannnny from the Acolyte. That was funny, we had a lot of laughs watching those clips. So thanks for that, very entertaining. Imagine if they try merch for this show…man that will sit and sit and sit and sit and sit and sit on shelves for a very long time.

I've watched half an episode of the Acolyte for the lulz, and boy oh boy it is worlds apart.
We need to know exactly what black rock and these cronies are getting out of desecrating the star wars story. I think until we understand what is their driving motivation, it's murky and hard to understand and explain all of this. All I got so far is it's THE secular morality tale of our generation. But to what purpose they wish to destroy this story, I don't fully comprehend.
