Oh please. I just came back from Italy two days ago. There were a LOT of fat people, more women them men. I love in Mexico and I was rather to get back to the healthier Mexican diet is whole grains, small amounts of meat, lots of fruit and juice and street food that includes freak and vegetables. In Italian restaurants, I was talked or if ordering a balanced meal by two different waiters. The Italian breakfast is a joke. No protein, no fruit, no healthy diet products. I ended up having to eat two pastries for breakfast just to get energy to go through museums. I saw a lot of white bread, plastic wrapped depressing sandwiches. I rarely saw Italians eating meat in restaurants. I had to search a long time each day for restaurants that had vegetable side dishes. Many times, I saw Italians ordering french fries as a side dish with their starchy lunch and dinner. So fine believe this video.

Well we Italians uses a different diet. We do not est sweets and cakes all the time. Mostly we eat salads, pasta, meat, fish, all dishes are well cooked and poor of ingredients. Italian cuisine is well known to be a poor cuisine because poor of ingredients, sauces etc. So there are no strong presence of sugar, fat and whatever could endanger our body. Moreover our lifestyle is mostly dynamic. We tend to use our legs way more than Americans, using stairs instead lifters helps lot for our circulatory system. Little things like these piled up every day give you the reason why we MOSTLY are not fat. But nonetheless we have lots of fat people. Mostly elders and mostly heavy drinkers, because wine, beer and superalcoholics have lots of sugar in it. So... The more you drink, the more you grow fat. Drinking wine is an old tradition here in Italy to the point that even childrens sometimes are risen with it. And there are substances in wine that helps too the circulatory system so... In the good portions it could actually be a good thing drink. We mostly condemn those who drink and become drunks. It's kinda a sort of social shame for us. Here in Friuli indeed we are proud of the fact that we drink a lot without getting drunk. So in short, the secret is a balanced and healthy diet, lots of movement and excercise, relax that enough to not be embarassing... ahm... "keep dignity" I think would be the correct way to say it. And if you're healthy and eat and drink that enough of good stuff, your life would be way more happy.
