Last time I checked rent was cheaper in Beverly Hills than San Francisco, and much nicer in BH. I'm not sure where she's staying, but there were affordable apartments south of Santa Monica blvd., I used to live there.

In Dallas the daily cost of food is around $20-$30/ day.Rent for a 1 bedroom is around $1500/month. Car payment and insurance around $400-$500/month. Most people in this in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area are spending around a minimum of $100/day in expenses.Although there is a huge wage and taxation difference. In California wages can be 20%-50% more for the same occupations but the taxes are also much higher in California as well. I say live where you want to and be happy. I have been to LA many times and there are a lot of good things there. It all depends on your preferences and level of comfort. As someone who has been to both areas I will say my area is far less crowded. Feel free to come visit our state anytime. We would be happy to have you. Please don’t believe the news saying Texans aren’t welcoming to foreign born guests. We enjoy learning about new cultures and interacting with interesting people.
