I’m a Northern Californian and love LA. But I thought you were going to say you hate the traffic 😁. We Californians are very friendly by nature and the type of good food you found is pretty common throughout the state.
OH, please enjoy Europe - I'm a California girl (actually live below the Hollywood sign) and love going especially to Italy! But when you are ready, come back to Los Angeles and try our different neighborhoods! The ones you've experienced already are pretty terrific, but there are so many to experience!

I think it would be interesting for you to visit other parts of the US (although you may not like them as much) like the north, Midwest, the south, etc. it could also be cool to see a comparison between LA and NYC. Glad you enjoyed your time in the US! 😊

I've lived in half a dozen big cities in the US, and LA is my favorite. I used to live in Beverly Hills before moving to a different part of LA, I miss it so much, it was great. To be fair however, if you're spending your time at the beach, and Beverly Hills, and shopping at Erewhon, you're seeing LA at it's best. I could show you parts of LA where you'd be absolutely speechless at the extreme poverty. I thought you were going to say the worst thing about LA is the traffic. I don't think you can truly say you've experienced LA if you haven't been stuck in a horrible traffic jam on the 405 or the 5. 🤣 Drinking: yeah, I was in England once, and I agree, by our standards here in the US, EVERYONE in England is an alcoholic. 😆 Next time you're here, have some friends who have a car take you to Newport Beach, go to Balboa Island, and Fashion Island Mall. Oh, and on a different day maybe go hiking the main trail at Griffith Park. Catch a show at the Hollywood Bowl or the Greek Theater. Not everyone is early to bed here, people in Hollywood are night owls. I was when I lived there.
Anna, thank you for the California endorsement. I live in Northern California & not the biggest fan of LA… mostly because of the heavy traffic. But I’ve never lived in So Cal and believe some parts of California are exactly as you say.

Have you been to a place where you can offord to live long term. I lived in Houston for 20 years.

LOL you are well excited, it’s a whole different ball game when you have to work and pay taxes. I can guarantee you won’t be living in the areas you have on your CZcams unless you are making a few million usd a year.
Working and visiting are two diametrically different experiences. Not bursting your bubble just stating some facts😂. When I visited LA and Newport Beach I had the same feelings as you are expressing…. Then you start to look at the house prices and the taxation level in California…. That’s when you come back to reality.
I lived in Houston for a large multinational oil company and although, on the whole, it’s not as beautiful as California it’s a lot more cost effective and you can live in a beautiful house….yiu might want to try out Dallas… it has the beauty of say LA but it’s a lot more easy on the back pocket… I still go back every now and then but retired at 42.

LA is okay. However the real jewels are along the coast as you drive up PC1........ Morro Bay, Santa Cruz, Ragged Point. Half Moon Bay. etc.
