I saw wireless mouse there. So probably a BT mouse. Thing is, when you have a lot of WiFi from yourself and from your neighbors, especially wide channel WiFi, the BT mouse is going to lag. What you described in the video sounds a lot like issue with WiFi interference.

Recently went from an i7-8700 to a 7800X3D and it has been super smooth sailing, fast boots ( context restore enabled ), top notch performance and stability ( using buildzoid's Hynix timings too ), zero issues. I should've done that last year.

I have a similar system. An AMD 7950X3D on an ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-E and G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo 2x32GB CL30. I can't run EXPO 6000 reliably and even JEDEC 4800 freezes and reboots every now and then. ASUS support is useless. However, I have to admit that the latest BIOS has significantly improved the situation.

I had a rough time with AM5 at first but after a few bios revisions and chipset driver updates, I am now running my 7800X3D with 64gb 6000mhz cl30 ram kit just fine with 0 latency or crashes. I used to use Intel but lately I can't justify spending that much money on a oven that pulls more wattage than my RTX 4080. I already have a heater at home so I don't see a value in Intel anymore. Can't even hit advertised frequencies for more than a second before throttling with Intel chips.

But but intel is faster, runs hotter , has stability issues , latency issues ect.

I have 7800X3d+RTX 4080(PC) + laptop 5800h+RTX3060 , my friend is using 13900HX+RTX4060 laptop . Guess who has the most problems with stability XD . Hellidivers 2 is unplayable for him ( I know I know Helldivers 2 is crushing for everyone but for him it is crashing EVERY time he starts the game - did all I could including reimage of the Windows , BIOS, firmware,drivers , minimal bloating software, driving down power limits , core isolation,CPU affinity , disabling E cores , disabling HT ....- no joy, no imprrovement). Other games /programs are just not stable or underperforming even compering to my shitty laptop. Dont get me started talking about heat and noise ....

Lower cpu ratio in bios to 55 and limit cpu power to 253W, all will be fine may be ;-)

I noticed on your last video and on this video you said you "made sure your windows was up to date" Yet in both you are still using that pile of shit old Windows 11 a.k.a vista 2.0 a.k.a windows 8/8.1 a.k.a boomer virusware, you need to update to Windows 10 23h2. Its 2024 and i bought an used MSI GamingX RTX 3060 Ti for $220 and paired it with i5 12400f and 32 3200mhz Ram (16x2). I'm so satisfied with its performance for my 1080p 144hz monitor. Undervolt it to 900mv with 1950 core clock and 7900mhz memory clock. It will be with me for the next 5 years if it don't fail before that. It was a hug leap upgrading from i5 9400f and grx 1050ti

DCP latency is not necessarily a intel/amd problem. It's more likely a motherboard issue. I've had Amd cpus since FX series. Out of 8 different motherboard brands 4 were asus, 2 msi and 2 gigabyte. 3 out of the 4 asus boards (3 rog strix, 1 tuf) have struggled with DCP latency. Only Asus motherboards had this issue, even testing the same cpu. Doing some digging the issue originate somewhere between their usb chips and drivers. Disabling unused usb ports usually fixed or reduced the issues for me. There were other factors as well related to pci lanes and onboard audio that at one point had to be disabled on one of the boards that also made things a lot better

It seems like Intel is in damage control mode, they cannot lose that performance crown no matter what even if it is burning out their CPUs. You can't even set the BIOS for automatic mode to keep everything within Intel specifications, everything's got to be pushed to the point that it's already overclocked to the max. What fun is that when you're fighting with stability issues with outer the box CPU that you can't even overclock because there's nothing left to gain?

Nice video! I went AMD and never looked back. I think Intel is suffering the same issue that WD is going through with SMR technology with Seagate, pushing the technology envelope to beat the competitor at whatever cost. And of course that cost is damaging the silicone itself. I've built three systems with AMD 7800 X3D and those systems are rock solid with Z5 XMP 6000. Not one single lockup, black screen of death, BSOD, nothing. Absolutely stable. Intel on the other hand is problematic, Sky Lake and Kaby Lake (gen 7/8) just randomly locks up. Even with the latest BIOS and microcode updates, Intel cannot survive any amount of time without locking on my existing devices. Thank you AMD for kicking Intel's ass again over and over in performce and stability.

The 4060 is the best upgrade for me, I have a 10 year old office laptop and runs at 10 fps in low demand games like roblox

I have a peculiar issue with my 13600k, when watching youtube or a video and I save a pic from FB the pc studders quite often. Not sure if this is along the same lines as what this vodeo is talking about, but it is very annoying and It happens in win 10 and win 11.

You do have another option: switch to Linux. If Windows is the problem here, and it most likely is, you can just skip it altogether.

Ok to be clear here, Intel did say the no power limit settings are "in spec" multiple times to reviewers and journalists. Only now do they claim otherwise. Threw their board partners under the bus after enabling and maybe encouraging them for years. Not cool Intel.

I run an AMD R9 5900X CPU in my PC, and I've set a hard OC limit to 4.5 GHz using CPU Core Ratio, with a negative offset automatic voltage. My CPU runs cool and rarely goes above 59-degC while playing Halo Infinite. During normal PC usage, it only uses 1.1 volts.

They must set AMD 7800 x cpu voltage to 1.35000 or your mother' board and cpu will toast

it may be the e core and p cores. when you are doing moderate to heavy loads the p kicks in and the e cores go idle. light loads e cores kick in and p cores go idle. maybe it's an issue with the p core and e core scheduling on tasks because the CPU controls your IO. Now if Intel gave people all p cores instead of giving people what I call mobile CPUs,s. you may not have problems. I wonder if tech channels are going to re-benchmark Intel 13 and 14 gen since Intel was allowing board manufacturers to overclock way out of spec which caused dead or permanently damaged and unstable CPUs,s. That would be fare.
