    Got the ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI a couple months back. Running it with a 14700k, 32GB 6000Mhz and 3080ti.
    Boards solid as.. Never under stood paying top dollar for boards.
    Even back when i'd run flagship GPUs in SLI and 3090k or 2600k with mid range boards always ran fine. Came from a 9900k and mid range board and they never miss a beat.
    High end boards have a load of shit I just don't need.

    Having currently own an ASUS Z690-A D4, I see a lot of these features that I really appreciate (especially the GPU release, access to lower m.2 drives) that are now more accessible to what I think of as a mainstream product. It really feels like ASUS is stepping forward with things that should really be standardized amongst more boards. Still wish we could all get a LCD readout instead of debug lights even at this tier and higher but this is a step in the right direction.

      I agree 100%! I would love to see a LCD readout on all boards. But I also understand that probably adds additional costs.

      @@ErockOnTech No, I don't see it as a problem as it allows more reviews, but the catch is that it cannot be completely objective, that is human nature, no actual fault of your own. @@Skobeloff...Well I did have some gripes about it in the final thoughts section. I do legitimately think the board is decent and Asus has done a great job offering innovative solutions for PC building and PC maintenance. I love the GPU Q release button and the Dimm detect feature. That is 100% my genuine thoughts. But I don’t like how there is no bios flashback. However, I completely hear what you’re saying.

    • @Skobeloff...
      @Skobeloff... Před měsícem +1

      @@ErockOnTech A lot of things should be standard on mobo's by now, the quick release should be obvious, as well as bios flashback, and debug readouts. Multiple usb-c front panel headers should also be common, and cases should reflect that. I am also surprised that we are only just starting to see motherboards with rear connectors.
      I am not personally doubting your own credibility, but going out of your way to suggest the review is objective because you were given the product by the manufacturer, doesn't really add up.

    • @ErockOnTech
      @ErockOnTech  Před měsícem

      @@Skobeloff...It’s what many other reviewers do. If I received money, then I am obligated to disclose it. But if I didn’t receive money and I give a favorable review, then it may come across as sponsored. Then I would get comments such as “This is a sponsored video. Asus paid him to say this. He is a fanboy.”
      Also, I agree that many features should just be standard on all motherboards. That’s why I titled the video this way. I like the features this board offers. And I want to see these features, and more, as standard on all boards.

    • @ErockOnTech
      @ErockOnTech  Před měsícem +1

      Oh wow that is a can of worms there. I’m not exactly sure what CZcams does. Obviously, the viewer needs a HDR monitor to view HDR content. If they don’t have it, then I imagine it would be presented in SDR. As for recording HDR, you need a capture card that can record in HDR. Asus offers these capture cards.

    I bought the Tuf X670E and because it has no quick GPU release I had to use my finger in the very tight place between my SSD heat sink and GPU to press the latch down, the latch completely shattered as well as part of the arms that hold the latch, so I could not just simply replace the latch.
    ASUS claimed it was a human error and charged me to replace the entire PCIE slot for my GPU, that plastic on the slot is very unforgiving and will shatter sometimes from just regular use like me, and know that ASUS will not help you here so be very careful when uninstalling a GPU guys,
