How is education over there? Is there a need for educators? as many small community places / islands.. there is a name to that feeling you've had.. where you feel connected to those you don't even know the name of but see on a regular basis.... places like that come from an understanding that people are all connected and in trying times will rely on each other.

I'm sure there is a lot of info I'm missing, but based on your video of health care.. it appears you don't have health insurance, (ie. United, Tricare, Blue Cross/Shield) for yourselves or your kids? and instead are relying on Medicare, which is 'tax payer funded', subsidized social healthcare system. -However, through that government subsidized program, you've had no troubles in getting the care you've needed?.. even though it's not really the US, you're able to make use of a US social program (would this be similar to PR, and Guam then in that regard?). Additionally, being that it's an remote, and small island nation; specialized care such as an orthopedic surgeon would involve a flight to Hawaii or Philippines as an example? Am I understanding all of this info correctly?

i was born n raised in hawai'i to a samoan mother and a palagi dad, lived on and off in hawai'i and western samoa (dual citizenship) for the first 9 years of my life. i've always been interested in living in american samoa because i never really felt "in place" in the mainland (left hawai'i and samoa for good summer of 2011), but a lot of my family that i have left from western samoa have moved to either NZ, aus, or american samoa. i became accustomed to life in western samoa, but american samoa is heavily different. looks like i'm going to have to binge your guys' videos for the next few weeks (or months). fa'afetai kele lava.

You keep referring to American Samoa as a territory of the United States. As I’m sure you know living there that is not exactly true. It’s more what they call a common wealth. American Samoans born in American Samoa are not U S Citizens they are U S Nationals. Maybe you guys should explain that for people that may go there thinking that Am Samoa is an actual territory. I’ve have known people that had things happen to them thinking that Am Samoa was a real territory. Just a thought I felt I should share with you. I lived there for 7 years so I am familiar👍

Thank you!!! We were there today on cruise today. Cab driver did not want to take us. Tried to get us to go to 2$ beach, but I insisted on Fagasa. What an incredible place to free dive, with an incredible variety of corals and fish. The larg sloping drop offs and channels really made it special. My previous favorite free dive spot was Klein Bonaire in the Caribbean, but this blows it away, and will spoil me forever!
