Some one who has gone through the process, helps with live and learn. Finding a niche, filling the niche easy, getting permits and such... not always easy. Keep up the good work and keep us all informed. As for a store front many folks here in the states use those rental storage/ sheds here in Ohio.

Sounds not too easy compared to other US locations? I get the impression the American Samoa Government is not trying very hard to attract businesses to their territory, which, compared to Hawaii and Guam, is undeserved? It must be very difficult for immigrant business ventures? It would be hard enough for someone to come from the US and start a business, let alone another country? No wonder I see far fewer stores and restaurants than what could be the true economic potential for AS?

With an island like American Samoa 80 percent of the economy revolves around the tuna cannery. So yes self employment is the only way to go. The pay is to low to work for someone else.so just start a business if you are going to move to American Samoa.

If you are an American self employed contractor like a digital nomad how do they handle the taxes there. If you are a retiree American with investment income from your permanent tax home back in the states there would also seem to be no need to get involved in any of this licensing as it would just open you up to snooping by Am Sam govt and looking for ways to tax you.
