Yet another sequel that should never have been made, nobody asked for and, as you pointed out, just another soulless cash grab for Hollywood studios (or so they think). LOL...Nero won't be the emperor in this movie. He was emperor before the Colosseum was built. Vespasian commissioned the colosseum in large part to restore the faith of the public in the emperor after the damage that Nero did. In fact, the location of the colosseum was actually on land that Nero had confiscated from the public for use of his immense palace grounds. After Aurelius and Commodus, there were no more well know or "famous" emperors. This will be an emperor most people have never heard of.

I keep hearing that Japan doesn't like what this game is doing, but I don't think that it's representative of normal people. Maybe it will be in the future, because I think the argument is strong enough (at least the one about changing history via Wikipedia to align with the game), but I don't think it's there yet. As for the first AC game in Japan having one of two playable characters be a black samurai, I doubt most Japanese AC players would get all that worked up about it. Then again, I'm not Japanese, so I wouldn't know.

The "mothers" that defied all known biology and had twins somehow, they both turned into immaterial shadow beings with black eyes and were clearly not of anything considered "righteous" or "good." The "mothers" seemed to have a very basic understanding of the Force, and yet when they are supposedly under threat they become more dangerous than a group of Jedi. The only thing that makes sense is that the "mothers" are of evil or have sold their souls to evil, anyway you slice it living as they did was not a life strengthening their understanding of the Force but apparently Hollywood is not interested in making characters that matter.

90% of the comments are about the use of rap in a music in a movie of Ancient Rome. A poor choice for the trailer, for sure...but do people honestly think that Ridley Scott is going to use that music in the movie? Obviously not. I would actually be amazed if Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard weren't signed up again to create the soundtrack for this one as well.

being honest in my humble opinion and as a fan of the work Gladiator, I say that in mid-2024 putting a rhinoceros with a CGI much more or less and putting rap in a Greek work without a sound consistent with the work like the first one, you'll certainly lose all the Gladiator vibe, it may be a good film but it will never be exceptional like the first and unfortunately like a good wine the first will continue to be better and the second will become like 300 2, using the good name of the first work just to "try" to make money...
