Neither of those make much sense. Both of the more famous invasions of Russia from the west very nearly succeeded, and the latter would have had the only policies applied been anti-Communist. i work in tech, i have for many years. i love when they say "oh, it was a bug." the things they use that excuse for are almost never bugs, they're clearly deliberate.
I also work in tech. Can confirm, it's almost cute the way they think the rest of the world is as computer illiterate as them. Hell, there was some woman back at my high school who thought turning off the monitor was "blocking my computer."
Which I bring up because this sounds like the same level of computer illiteracy.
I have never encountered a "good" bug. Not once have I seen an error and thought "this would be a good feature". I know it can happen but its soooooo rare. And even then it takes work to change it from a bug to feature. At that point it's not even a bug anymore...
Critics and sites like Rotten Tomatoes have lost all credibility. Disney is shelling out money and favors for positive reviews and hit pieces on negative reviews and comments

I’m not inclined to believe this was an error since weird stuff like this always seems to happen when there is a Disney project that isn’t doing well. You can’t convince me it’s NOT damage control.
Having a lot of female relatives my age growing up, I always noticed how superficial the main leads in teenage girl movies were with their tastes in guys. They always went for the perfect dude who had less lines than the comic relief, and very few had the girl going for the nerdy best friend who was always nice to her. Yes, women have also objectified men since way before this show came out, but they at least tried to get him through comedic antics and elaborate plans which had them in the position of an underdog. And that's what made those old teenage girl movies tolerable for me, the leads were prone to accidents caused by their flaws, and there was always something to rain on their parade to keep them humble.
A lot of men just wanna watch a show where men act like men not male feminists. Its as simple as that lol
If they remove the audience score, it would open up a market for someone else, and rotten tomatoes will lose all traffic since we know how bribed the critics are.
Why anybody still even gives Rotten Tomatoes any credibility is beyond me at this point. How many times have they been caught deleting reviews, changing negative review scores into positive ones, banning accounts who's reviews point out the corrupt practices. If people are going to continue to point to places like Rotten Tomatoes & metacritic to justify their shit tastes then they deserve the shit entertainment that they are getting.
Not to mention the fact that universally rate things entirely incorrectly. Godzilla 2014 is 75% rated, but King of the Monsters and Godzilla Vs Kong are not only lower, but below 50%, and down by 34%, same as Battleship (2012)? You know, the movies where Godzilla fought his most iconic enemies that had his theme in it, getting rated half as much as the movie hated for not having enough Godzilla?
The only accurate review scores Rotten Tomatoes gives are when the piece of media is too popular to get away with lying, like Lord of the Rings. I still say it's inaccurate, just not in their usual direction.

Before watching the video I think it is obvious that Disney does not know what audiences want and LucasFilm resents that George built everything they stand on and none of them understand it.
Problem is they know what audiences want, but similar to sweet baby Inc., they don't want to feed the "picky baby."

Imo it’s that Disney hates what the audience wants and Lucasfilm is too incompetent to provide what the audience wants. But I‘m pretty sure that quite a lot of the people at Disney and Lucasfilm know what the audience would like. It’s sometimes visible when they cut trailers to hide what the audience hates.
As a software developer myself, this feels like an employee messed around with the scores behind management's back, and when they found out, they turned off the scores until they could restore from a backup. Of course they wouldn't want that publicly known, so they call it a "technical glitch".
I press X for doubt as they clearly tried to hide a specific audience score. This has no signs of an actual bug or interference, it simply looks like RT trying to help Disney (most likely for money). Let’s not fool ourselves, RT isn’t in the business of being honest.
