I watch it for reference, I don't make videos. Stick to the books and comics from legends and make content is the best way to go cause they're not changing.

I honestly think Disney illegally pays their board under the table to stay in line, since they lose so much money being part of the company normally. As long as Black Rock keeps feeding Disney money, they don't have to change. Black Rock is funding the DEI initiatives for a lot of companies, but Disney is their largest investment due to its reach to families and especially children in general.
Do yourself a favor and watch Andor. The attention to detail is sublime, the tension is palpable, and the contrast of the dehumanizatiom of the empire's bureaucracy to the hope and sacrifice of federation actors...

I’ve ignored Star Wars since Y2017. No big deal to me.
I think Andor is low because of its slow pacing and lack of lightsabers. It’s more like a spy series since it’s the beginnings of the Rebellion and everyone has to be careful. The Acolyte just seems like some high school girl’s fan fiction.
I love how they blame us fans & semi fans for their own failures. Make a decent enough product without insulting us, and maybe you'll earn some real success and respect.

Disney is seeing someone else having commercial success tangentially based off of their movie and thinks there’s more profit to be made there. If they can get those million smut book girlies watching their show they’d be in really good shape. Or they can at least use it as a barometer for “what people want”. I’m pretty sure that’s why they’re making the new Rey movie as well.

Viewership isn't "ratings". Bare in mind that the Nielson numbers are for ep1&2. A lifetime ago. Even those numbers have fallen off a cliff since then.
it's a shame andor got beat by it since it's arguably one of the better ones, but no one watches it , likely because it has no jedi or anything going on like that.
