Yes we wanted the iconic medal award scene with everybody who matters returned for one last smile.
I pictured a scene of them reuniting and plotting out how to beat this new (recycled) evil. Han and Chewie would be swapping quips as he threw an arm around Leia, with her joining in. Luke would try to get everyone back on task but ultimately end up in on the banter as well. They'd all separate, each having their own part to play in the final battle, but ultimately reuniting for the celebration when the day was won.
Disney literally spat on Star Wars and made it something cheap and ugly. It's nothing more than KK and her team's poorly written self insert fanfiction now. RIP.

@@fllf3078 I think Star Wars was still drawing some viewership before this show. This show is the end of Star Wars without some drastic retcon/course correction of Disney Star Wars. The viewership is in the tank, and every episode of this show is ranked lower than every episode of every other Disney Star Wars show. That’s quite an accomplishment given that outside of The Mandalorian Seasons 1-2 and Andor, their shows had already been polarizing, at best.
Lucasfilm would have to be purged from the top down of their current "creatives".

This show disrespected Star Wars lore about 10 times harder, is drastically more woke, and it’s also just really badly written and acted for the most part. TLJ was a bellwether for this, but it was maybe the best made and written movie in the sequel trilogy (ignoring the offensive treatment of legacy characters). This show is terrible, even if you have absolutely no love for/knowledge of Star Wars lore. The fact that Leslye Headland wants to helm a KOTOR adaptation is depressing, and I hope it never happens. KOTOR/KOTOR 2 is maybe the best Star Wars story.
