I don't know if you've seen it but the Yasuke wiki page has been altered and now says that he was a samurai based on a survey which used western publications as "evidence" (none of those publications provide any sources or evidence for their claims, they just claim that he was a samurai). I shit you not. History is being decided based on a survey, not facts and evidence.
Yeah, that's why this rewriting of history by pop-culture products is extremely dangerous. When a video game with very wide reach across the globe says what is the "real" history, so many people would simply assume that is the fact. It then hardly matters what the historical evidences or scholarly works say.

To my knowledge even Oda didn't have the power to make a commoner a samurai even more so a foreigner he was already at odds with the other lords for wanting to deal with foreigners doing so would have caused a lot more strain than he was already causing but I will say it has been a fair few years since I have brushed up on my Japanese history so I could be remembering wrong

Honestly, if I were a samurai, I would never wear armor and charge like an idiot to assassinate since doing so makes me a very good target for enemy archers and marksmen. Instead, I’ll disguise myself as a Yamabushi or mountain ascetic and/or a merchant in order to travel safer into enemy territory. NHK period dramas from Heian to Sengoku period depicts samurai characters to use these getups when traveling into enemy territory as not to get identified.

When the company says there’s death threats when they’re already facing backlash for decision in their game, it’s usually BS most of the time.
99% of the time, "death threats" are the go-to response of known bad actors hoping to get law enforcement or government involved. The remaining 1% have actual receipts of _those same bad actors crying wolf_ targeting them.
They want to delete us from existence, and the only way they can justify doing that legally and morally is in self defense. That is why they constantly make up these lies about threats made against them.

I got gaming hunting to do to fill my backlog but keeping my eyes and ears out for good stuff like Wukong, downloaded The First Descendent, and looking for small independent gaming studios to release good stuff and giving them money.

I've lived with disabilities all my life. The biggest problem has been that they're all mental disabilities; that usually means that people fall into one of two majority camps: Either they coddle you to the point of being patronizing, or they somehow separate the disability - a thing that directly affects your ability to think clearly - from your ability to perform your job. I've dealt with both in my life, at the extremes and everything in between.
When you meet one of the exceedingly rare people out there who treats you like an adult, like a normal person, not because they also have mental disabilities but because they take the time to get to know you and understand the world in your shoes? It's incredible. It's jarring, but in a good way. You weren't expecting it to happen.

I remember back in the day when Ubisoft was an actual semi-decent publisher and actually put out some pretty decent quality games. The original Prince of Persia trilogy, the Rayman games, and the early Assassin's Creed entries.

I don't mind the game being like that, its a fictional game. The problem is that they are pushing their hiddedn agenda even before the game releases. They even say that a fictional game is HISTORICALLY ACCURATE.
