The Acolyte is not meant for us and our opinion about it does not matter. The only demographic that matters to Disney is its target audience - young girls. If young girls like it - and I think enough of them do - then they can build a new canon for them. Disney is not about writing quality shows for older male fans (like andor - which had no business being aired on Disney). And amazingly the show runner didn't know squat about Star Wars canon, just consulted the wiki for compliance, yet Andor fits nearly into place really only touching Mon Mothma but in a way that's pretty true to her EU character.

No surprise there. I said a couple of weeks ago that i would not be surprised if it got a second, third, fourth and even a fifth season, for the simple fact that profit seems to be pretty low on Disney's priority list.
