I don't understand! Why you wouldn't have made the bar high enough to hang from fully! So you don't need to put your feet behind you! So you can have your legs straight?

The best way to start doing pull ups/chin ups is buy a set of bands and start with the biggest doing 3 sets of 10 then when it starts getting easy go to the next smaller band over time you will be able to transition to body weight. I do the same thing with dips.

So my first pull up test I did 13 clean, controlled pull ups. My recruiter told me while the controlled decent is good for muscle building, when doing a test, your goal is reps. Told me to throw myself down from the bar once I get my chin over the bar.
Those high pullups were great. Nice range of motion and power
You can train all these exercises by just doing pull ups

Hi Mike, no.3 ... why circular motion?
firstly this shit should be done after pull ups. Secondly, just do pull ups, and if you need to actually get better at them and can't do enough to stimulate muscle hypertrophy to gain strength. Use Bands for example: 20kg bands will minus 20kg off your body.
Relative strength is way more impressive than absolute strength.

At 190 I could do 10sets of 12.. I should’ve signed up then… now I’m 240 trying to get down to 220 215 I’m currently good for 15 reps one set and 10 reps for 4 sets

Probably don't do full locked elbow dead hangs. It can't be that terrible to have a slight bend in your elbow. It's probably just not always necessary to keep doing fully locked out elbows because yeah they would hurt your elbow joint over time

i will give it a try, working on 2 arm weighted pullups for 6 month now at 50kg 6reps. but not nearly close to a One arm. i thought i would get it for free on the way...but seems not. i will add these isolated exercises lets see where the problem is and how long it will take thankyou :)

No, you're just more used to doing pull ups. For example I can almost do more dips than push ups

When will he look stronger?
I'm assuming he trains more for strength, explosiveness and endurance. He doesn't focus on hypertrophy and bulking/cutting to get big like a bodybuilder. Nothing wrong with either, just different training goals.
