This is the story of how I lost grip strength in my left hand. It’s been a journey to strengthen my body back to close to what it once was. Forever chasing my former self 💪
That sounds like a painful injury and recovery, but I appreciate your sharing the encouragement. After 13 years of powerlifting and setting records for 50's and 60's, I have a slipped vertebrae that makes it difficult to climb one flight of stairs. One year ago, I won the Masters of Iron Pro Series Finals at the Arnold (for ages 60-69). Pain is a motivator, and I've made peace with no longer competing. But I do want to walk, climb stairs, and do bodyweight lifting. Seeing the spine doctor today to see about the pros and cons of an L4 fusion.
Sorry to hear about your injury and glad that you have a very positive attitude and message for others. Keep up your hard work as your positivity is inspiration for others in every part of life.! God Bless!
You are really strong, your will to keep pushing forward and not give in, is inspirational I watch your pull up videos and I really appreciate them, I got to learn a lot from them.
Yes, understand. My labrum teared of on two places when I fell training and my bone dented in my other bone. Knew all of this after an MRI with fleud in my shoulder. After years its back to 85% or 90%. Can not hold to long on that specific arm. Makes a grinding noise with certain climbing. Sometimes you think if I just did not do that that day. But their are worst things and you have to live with it.
I got my left index finger cut while doing pull ups and fell on the stairs. Was drunk that time. The next day i woke up all i can do is a 90 degrees bend in my index finger. Thanks for sharing your story as well..
'mSorry to hear! I've also broken some bones and joints. I was in a car accident about 2 years ago. The recover was hard. I work on it every day. I'm 63 but I do not see a reason to give, though some people tell me to. I keep on pushing. It's not the age that makes you old & weak. It's passive lifestyle and poor nutrition.

Love the part about your brain/mindset trusting yourself when you’re truly doing the best you can. Awesome video!
