For me, Switch Mario sports games are " just fun arcade sports games". With the good and the bad things those words imply.

Is it worth buying rn I really want it can you still fight players online ??

Listen, you sound young so I'm sure you don't quite get it, however HM's are important, yes they stink and are a pain but Pokemon didn't use to be easy. You couldn't get a magical team of Noctowl on standby to fly you wherever you wanted or buy a gold bottle cap to max all the IV's of your Pokemon and finding a shiny was something to be proud of. So all Im saying, especially for a game trying to replicate the older Pokemon games, the HMs need to be there. Overall good review of the prism hack though minus the HM thing lol.

World Tour was great in terms of content, but it being so reliant on online was a hindrance imo. It was great back then, but after tournaments shut down, and now, no more online multiplayer? That is a huge amount of content gone, but I guess the Star and Moon Coin challenges are there. Also, another thing I didn't like about this game was it was the beginning of Camelot/Nintendo cutting features. No highlights is pretty awful, and of course, no access to easy multiplayer on a single console are a few of the features that are no longer here.

The GameCube and GBA era of the Mario sports games (mainly Golf and Tennis) was the best. For Power Tennis and Power Tour, the only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of connectivity between the two games. That really helped expand the replayability for Mario Golf 64/GBC, Mario Tennis 64/GBC, and Toadstool/Advance Tour, and it would have been great for these games.

I have a special place for all the Super Mario Advanced games. I had SMB2, SMB3, and World, and it was my introduction to Mario!!! As a kid, I loved the voice acting, and I have no idea why my little brain found it so amusing.

I did start playing this one a while ago, but the first gym being themed around weed *really* took me out of it, cause it just made it hard to take the game seriously. Figured if it was willing to do something stupidly edgy like that once, it was gonna do it again. But since you've said it seemingly ended up removing some of that stuff (I.E.: Houndoom murder), I gotta ask, was that also changed? If not, that's unfortunate, but I hope my original assumption was wrong and that that's just a one-time occurrence, cause I genuinely am interested in this game since people love it so much. I *want* to like this game.

I absolutely loved my time with Unbound. The only complaint I had was that the amount of battles against legendaries got kind of exhausting after a bit - but everything else was top notch. Even the cave/dungeon sections were enjoyable and those are rarely done well in romhacks. Haven’t done any of the postgame yet, but I would like to at some point. Though I didn’t know there is a NG+ mode?? What carries over there?

Unbound is the go-to, these days. Gonna be for a lot of the 2020s, I imagine.

Its sad that I can see that this game had potential to be great, specially because of the Golf Adventure, it has the RPG mechanic of allocate points to stats like in Advance Tour, it has open areas to explore and the plot of being the best golfer ever is simple but effective, however they dropped the ball greatly because the game lacked a lot of important things like polish, meaningful dialogue, side challenges, rivals being present during the story, secrets to find, anything to break up the monotony etc. Plus that Snow King plot that comes out of nowhere, screams that they rushed the game or left incomplete for I don't know why, maybe it was because Camelot struggles making HD games or they got afected by the pandemic, but I see they tried with this one, more than with Mario Tennis Aces, specially about the story mode aspect, but it fell flat in the end, and that hurts. I hope they make the next Mario Tennis and Golf for the Switch 2 be better.

Unbound is still the absolute best. None have truly reached it's level.

Oh man, it just occured to me that I haven't commented in your Mario Golf Super Rush video from 2 weeks ago, when I really wanted it to say something about it, I think I brushed it aside because I got other problems to deal with, I don't wanna to give much detals but I've being through hell recently, my dad got the dengue infection and mostly everything stopped here in my house, including production of the video I'm making, thankfully he is feeling considerably better and this week I will go back to make that video and others a reality. Ps. I realize hell might be too strong of a word to describe the situation, but because of my anxiety it feels like at times, but you don't need to worry too much now.

I agree with most of the video except the comment at the end that there is not enough competitive depth. This game is incredibly well thought out. s lacking as there is in game modes and overall content, it is hard carried by the excellent gameplay. It might not be apparent at a glance but there is a reason people still play it. Ranked is starting to get pretty dead but like Golf Super Rush, M&S 2020 and dare I say Smash Ultimate, the meat and potatoes is in private lobbies. Sure the Mario sports games aren't as populated as Smash but you get the idea.

Story mode on Power Tour makes the game what it is. I personally hope they bring it back through Nintendo Switch Online. My Gameboy doesn't work anymore, and I am dying to play the game again.

En lo personal, me quedo con las versiones de NES y SNES. La conversión de GBA nunca me gustó mucho, pues los niveles añadidos desentonan con respecto a los niveles originales y el recorte de pantalla, me resulta especialmente molesto. Por último, decir que la calidad de sonido de GBA deja bastante que desear para mi gusto.

Original sound is the best, but added voices is awesome, updated background is best, original Mario is best but updated Luigi is awesome. Like the new ability to save. Like the new levels. Like it being portable. Overall I like the original the best.

Great presentation, love me some Crystal Clear. There is a correction I'd like to add though, at 2:23 ; Wild Pokemon do NOT scale with the amount of gym badges you have. Only trainers and gyms scale with gym badges. This is why certain starting towns are considered more difficult, they're surrounded by higher level Pokemon.

Fun fact: switch online uses the GameBoy Player version of super Mario advance 4 which has rumble and uses the original SNES colors. If you played this game on an original gba, the colors would be lighter

The best way to play is with an NES, the original and a CRT TV. That last thing is the most important. Been replaying Mario64 recently and games designed for old televisions just look, feel and sound much better the way they were meant to be played

great video! completely agree about the asking price feeling way too questionable for what is being offered. it's always a challenging balance, especially because if you want to "vote with your wallet" and tell nintendo you want more sports titles like this, it always feels bad going in at $60 for a mediocre-feeling title in the series the one thing that always put me off from Super Rush was the random fluctuation when you hit at the highest point in the bar -- no other mario golf game did this, so it feels uniquely un-intuitive fo a famously tight golf game. the feeling of getting everything lined up perfectly, only for the game to randomly decide where you ball is going always felt bad to me

I still remember the hardest part of the story for me was that rally challenge with Kamek. Literally harder than the final boss because of that stupid pole messing everything up lol. But anyway I still come back to this game sometimes but the online is very dead unfortunately at least the last few times I tried to play it.
