Don't let that music fool you, this isn't an Alphadream Mario & Luigi RPG game...
It's another Super Mario World ROM Hack from Gamma V, this one being Mario & Luigi: Starlight Island Adventure.
It has an interesting premise; since it was originally released in 2015, but it's a remake of a 2006 ROM hack Gamma V made... but... made with the tools that Gamma V would be hypothetically limited to 2012.
I know that sounds bizarre, and it is. But it is really impressive, and creative.
Starlight Island Adventure isn't trying to re-invent the Mario wheel by any means; there's no standout mechanics, it's just a set of 44 solid Super Mario Bros levels.

2015 was just an update. Most of the development actually happened in 2012.
Ah, noted! Interesting, some of the databases online state that its initial release was in 2015. Glad the real source could clarify it! I wont make the same mistake with my next video on one of your hacks. Thanks again for watching my video on your work. It means a lot to me!

Man if only the Luigi sprite wasn't just a pallete swap, i mean it is Mario and LUIGI, my boy deserves some respect, i guess it was kinda limited cause it's a hack if the original rom and not the all stars version, but ignoring my Luigi nerdiness

Gamma V has another amazing rom hack called Super Luigi Land that nails everything about the character. I'll cover it eventually.

It was actually developed in 2012. It was just updated in 2015.
